With the premiere of Kamen Rider Drive X Kamen Rider Gaim: Movie War FULL THROTTLE in theaters this weekend, Toei has decided to reveal some new details about their next film project!

According to this article in Cinema Today, the next epic tokusatsu crossover film will be known as Super Hero Taisen GP: Kamen Rider 3! This new film will also be directed by Takayuki Shibisaki, veteran of several Rider projects including Movie War FULL THROTTLE.

The character of Kamen Rider 3 was created by Shotaro Ishinomori in 1972; the hero of a single manga adventure set between the end of the original Kamen Rider series and Kamen Rider V3.

What other heroes will make their appearance in this new project? Only time will tell!

The time is almost upon us for the secondary rider of Kamen Rider Drive to make his debut!

Set to appear in January episodes of the series is Kamen Rider Mach! We’ve previously reported information about the identity of this character, spoil yourself if you so choose, but for now enjoy this full image of Mach! As you can see Mach is themed around motorcycles and in fact has quite the Evel Knievel look to him, and manages to feature the classic rider scarf as well!

Toei’s official Youtube channel has put up a full-length trailer for the Super Sentai teamup special Ressha Sentai ToQGer VS Kyoryuger: The Movie!

Can Imagination & Bravery unite to stop the newest evil!? Fans will find out on January 17, 2015!

Some time ago we reported on the possibility of a follow-up Kamen Rider Gaim production featuring Kamen Rider Baron and Kamen Rider Zangetsu.

Now, Toei’s official Youtube channel has put up a short preview! Tentatively referred to as Gaim Gaiden, this new adventure will see Kaito & Takatora clash over a previously-unknown power source: the Taboo LockSeed.

Speaking of the DX Taboo Lock Seed is also being produced in conjunction with this film!

This special feature will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on April 22!

Type…. A mysterious new hero joins the Tire Koukan toy line from Kamen Rider Drive! The first of likely many Premium Bandai TK releases is now up for order, TKPB01 Kamen Rider Proto-Drive!

Proto-Drive is the rider still surrounded by mysteries in Drive. But many of them should be brought to light soon in the upcoming Kamen Rider Drive Episode 0 which will be given away to movie goers at the Drive X Gaim Full Throttle Movie. 

For now though Premium Bandai is wetting our appetite for this shadowy rider with a Tire Koukan release. Proto-Drive includes the Prototype Tire already attached, but as a bonus for this premium release he also exclusively includes the Dimension Cab Tire! Which has a magnet that allows to be attached to metal surfaces. No other weapons or accessory are included but we’ve yet to properly see Proto-Drive use weapons before anyway.

TKPB01 Proto-Drive is open for pre-order for 3780 yen, and will remain open through February with an actual release in May.

Tire Koukan!

Ready to start your engine? TokuNation has that covered for you! We’re back with another look at Kamen Rider Drive! And this time we’re spotlighting the Tire Koukan TK-04 Tire Set 2 with a gallery!

Tire Set 2, much like Tire Set 1, is an accessory set of sorts for your other Tire Koukan figures. And just like the first set, this one includes three brand new tires! Spin Mixer being the most plain of the 3 doesn’t come with any accessories, nor should it. Much like Funky Spike it’s just a generic extra tire for the gimmick. However Mad Doctor includes the Cure Quicker defibrillator  device and looks pretty sharp on Drive Type Speed or Wild. But the real winner of this set is the 3rd and most awesome tire, Dream Vegas! Get ready to recreate scenes of an abnormally stretched out Kamen Rider with this one or recreate some classic fights with the included Drum Shields!

With Movie War Full Throttle expected to launch in Japan this weekend, k2eizo of youtube comes through with another video review, this time taking a look at the DX Shift Fruit Car and Drive Lock Seed set!

The neat trick shared between the two of them is that they both utilize the familiar transformation tunes in unique ways, with the Drive Lock Seed being able to cycle through the first three Shift car names, do check out k2eizo’s video down below:

Just in time for a holiday surprise Bandai UK’s facebook page has revealed the first boxed images of 2 upcoming Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Legacy releases!

Revealed today are the first in box images of the Legacy White Tigerzord & the Legacy Saba Saber! These iconic pieces for the Mighty Morphin White Ranger are set for a first quarter 2015 release and we’re eagerly await them hitting store shelves! For now check out the incredible retro style packaging that each figure features!

Hot on the heels of a new Tire Koukan reveal earlier this week in the form of TK-09 Drive Type Formula, we have new images revealing the roleplay toys to go along with that form!

The DX Trailer Cannon is first the thing up. A weapon standard to Drive Type Formula, the Trailer cannon is very clearly based on a tractor trailer which would transport cars. It appears that Shift Cars can be inserted into the cannon by way of a port on top, though there’s no way to confirm if the cannon does or does not shoot the cars as projectiles yet. The Trailer Cannon also includes the Type Formula Shift Car Drive needs to access his new form.

And what would a Trailer styled weapon be without a racing pit crew of Shift Cars? Three additional Shift Cars for Drive Type Formula to use have also been revealed! Shift Mantann F01, based on a gas refueling tank, Shift Jack F02 based on a car jack, and Shift Spanner F03  based on a spanner/wrench.

It certainly looks like Kamen Rider Drive will be turning his racing theme up to 11 as the series progress with Forumla and the yet to be seen Dead Heat as well. We’ll keep you informed of all the new gears this series shifts into as they happen!

We have sadly been informed of the death of Koichi Kawakita a long-serving Toho special effects expert.

Kawakita’s work in the world of kaiju can be seen in the Heisei-era revival, beginning with Godzilla VS Biollante and ending with Godzilla VS Destoroyah. The new miniature effects and action sequences created by Kawakita during these films marked a tremendous step forward for the series, with some fans still considering this the greatest Godzilla era ever.

Koichi Kawakita was 72 years old. May he rest in peace…
