Amazon Listings Up for Legacy 6.5″ Psycho Pink , In Space Silver, & Ninja Steel Rangers!

Posted on June 19, 2018 at 3:54 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers

I imagine it went something like this. Bandai: “The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.

Despite popular thinking to the contrary, a new wave of Power Rangers Legacy 6.5″ figures has actually made it’s way up for order by way of Amazon! The image we’ve used for this article comes from the original reveal that these figures were possibly being developed, back in October 2017. There are no official stock images for any of these figures currently.

Legacy Psycho Pink

Legacy In Space Silver Ranger

Legacy Ninja Steel Red Ranger

Legacy Ninja Steel Yellow Ranger

Legacy Ninja Steel Blue Ranger

These listings have surfaced seemingly out of the blue. But it likely confirms the line is quite far from dead before Hasbro begins releasing it’s Power Rangers product next year. Curiously absent for now are the Psycho Yellow & Black Rangers to complete that team, as well as a Pink Ninja Steel Ranger. For now the listings are not active, but they can be added to a wish list if you’d like to keep track of them.

When these listings go live we’ll be sure to update you!

Kamen Rider Zi-O Silhouette Teaser

Posted on June 13, 2018 at 6:30 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Thanks to a new image released today, we have our first look at Kamen Rider Zi-O’s silhouette!

In a catalog flyer teasing the collectible gimmick and vinyl for Kamen Rider Zi-O, the suit itself also gets it’s first tease.  While there isn’t much to go on right now, it does seem rather telling that there are no noticeable protrusions of any kind (antennae, compound eyes, or otherwise) on Zi-O’s helmet. While that’s definitely happened before too, it’s an abrupt change from Kamen Rider Build.

So what exactly is Zi-O’s gimmick and collectible item? For now we really can’t be sure. But we will be sure to keep you updated as this story develops!

S.H. Figuarts Ambassador Hell Gallery

Posted on June 3, 2018 at 5:07 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“Long live Shocker!”

After the defeat of the great Doctor Shinigami, the Shocker Army needed a new general to command it’s forces in Japan. To destroy the Kamen Riders, a member of their American west coast organization was recruited. The deadly and dangerous, Ambassador Hell! Capable of assuming a Kaijin form as Gargaranda, the Ambassador is a force of pure evil in his humanoid form as well. Utilizing his trademark whip to bind his enemies and rally his forces, S.H. Figuarts Ambassador Hell is here to build a new Shocker Army all his own!

Ambassador Hell joins the line at a time when the original Showa Kamen Rider series is getting more releases than it ever has. Expanding to villains has been something that S.H. Figuarts has always struggled with thanks to lower than average sales numbers. But the iconic greats like this can go a long way to reviving them in toy form. Joining the ranks of the various Shocker Combatmen on or coming to market this year, Ambassador Hell is a wonderfully interesting figure, though with a few faults. He’s sure to menace your Seihou Rider 1 & Rider 2 quite well though.

We’ve attached the full 50+ image gallery to this post, but you can also read our full review of S.H. Figuarts Ambassador Hell after the jump by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. We’ll see you soon again for another action packed gallery!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Great Cross-Z Official Images

Posted on May 30, 2018 at 2:39 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Well, it’s been quite the week for Banjou hasn’t it? Revealed via magazine scans and episode preview just last week, then making it’s debut in this past Saturday’s episode, then having images of a figuart prototype shown off, Cross-Z’s new base form has had a QUICK turnaround.

Now, S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Great Cross-Z has been confirmed for release! Thanks as always to @_Erasu for digging these images up from the depths of the Tamashii Nations site. These official images, the banner in particular, now confirm that the Cross-Z repaint will indeed see release. The logo emblazoned on the banner also confirms that it will be a Tamashii Web Exclusive. While we don’t have an exact release window or price yet, the listing itself should be live relatively soon. When that happens, we’ll be sure to let you know!

Super Sentai Artisan Won Tiger Prototype Images

Posted on May 25, 2018 at 10:34 am by Den-O under Super Sentai

With release impending in August, Bandai B-Boys have updated their blog with new unpainted prototype images of the upcoming Super Sentai Artisan Won Tiger!

The blog post mentions that they are in the middle of mold progression and finalizing changes to it before final release. Adjustments will continue to be made. Mention is also made of the new double joint in the Tiger’s forward legs, allowing it to pose in ways the original couldn’t. They also talk about trying to find the correct balance in the marbling of the white/gray parts.

Another blog update for this gorgeous piece is scheduled for June 1st. We’ll see you again then!

Tamashii Comic-Con: Robot Spirits Final Battle Gipsy Avenger & Drone Jaegers

Posted on May 25, 2018 at 10:02 am by Den-O under Conventions, General Tokusatsu News, Other Conventions

As Tamashii Comic-Con continues there have been a huge number of reveals and display prototypes on shown for various western properties like Marvel, Star Wars, & DC. If you’d like to check out all of these, we highly suggest you head over to our sister site, Toyark.com to see their reporting. For us though, the con has provided more display prototypes from Pacific Rim Uprising!

For starters we have Robot Spirits Gispy Avenger Tokyo Final Battle Version! This remold/repaint of the original Avenger release features the left arm Plasma Caster, and rocket booster used  for the decisive battle near and above Mount Fuji. It also appears to include the Plasma Chainsaws taken from Obsidian Fury for the same battle. Second, we have our first look at the Robot Spirits Drone Jaegers. These are their pre-Kaiju Hybrid forms which are actually only seen quite briefly in the film.

For now we don’t have any release information for this pair of figures, but we’ll be sure to update you when and if it does. Images come courtesy of Figsoku.
