Legacy Wars: Power Rangers VS Street Fighter Live Action Web Series

Posted on July 19, 2018 at 12:38 pm by Den-O under Conventions, Power Rangers, San Diego Comic Con

Street Fighter is having one heck of a 30th anniversary while Power Rangers enjoys it’s 25th. After the hugely celebrated Street Fighter update for the Power Rangers Legacy Wars mobile game, this latest news makes perfect sense.

Produced by Bat In The Sun, known for their incredible Super Power Beat Down videos, we have the announcement of a Legacy Wars Live Action Web Series featuring both Power Rangers & Street Fighter!

We wont spoil the content of the teaser trailer on the front page, though you can watch it below. But suffice it to say, this is a ground breaking project for both franchises and opens the door for some very powerful possibilities.

First Power Rangers Image from Hasbro’s SDCC Booth

Posted on July 18, 2018 at 7:11 pm by Den-O under Conventions, Power Rangers, San Diego Comic Con

Thanks to TokuNation user PsychoPurple we have our first far off look at Hasbro’s booth for San Diego Comic Con! In particular, for Power Rangers!

While no toys are on display Hasbro has produced a classy display with the original MMPR White Ranger suit encased in glass. Next to it is a video feed featuring white ranger footage from across the 3 seasons of MMPR as well.

This display is likely a mere tease of things to come. As any Marvel or Transformer collector knows, Hasbro updates their displays often through out SDCC. We’ll keep you informed with every single update as it happens.

Tamashii Nations 2018 Exclusives Revealed

Posted on July 18, 2018 at 4:53 am by Den-O under Conventions, Kamen Rider, Other Conventions

Tamashii Nations 2018 is just around the corner, and thanks to the official @t_features twitter we have confirmation of the two tokusatsu exclusives for the show.

First up is a repaint of the well received Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider 1 S.H. Figuart in Sakurajima colors. Since Tamashii seems to be working backwards from the “Shin Rider 1” design, how long until we get Hongo in his original colors? Rider 1 will retail for 6480 yen.

“Oh no!” The Black Hazard arrives continuing the pattern of black repaint event exclusives with S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Build Rabbit/Tank Hazard Form! With Hazard confirmed at last, could we see Rabbit/Rabbit or Tank/Tank as well as Genius on the horizon? Here’s hoping. Hazard Form will retail for 6480 yen as well.

Both exclusives will be available at Tamashii Nations 2018, October 26th-28th.

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Lazer Turbo Bike Gamer Level 0 Gallery

Posted on July 13, 2018 at 3:11 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“Zero Gear.”

Kiriya Kujou once made the ultimate sacrifice in the battle against Kuroto Dan. But in a universe full of game worlds, living viruses, and super deformed super heroes, it’s no wonder that the coroner with a cause would return! Making a return to the battlefield in our latest gallery, is S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Lazer Turbo Bike Gamer Level 0!

Lazer Turbo once again utilizes the popular and wonderful Ex-Aid body type to full effect. A solid mold with ample articulation, Lazer looks just as stylish as ever. Though armed lightly with the Gashacon Sparrow, it can split into it’s Sickle Modes as well and even features an improved connection tab. Looking stylish riding himself (Lazer Level 2) or teaming up with himself (Lazer Level 5), Lazer Level 0 is another welcome addition to your Ex-Aid collection.

We’ve attached the complete 50 image gallery to this post and you can check out the full review thread by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. We’ll be back soon with a number of galleries from Garo, Ultraman Orb, Kamen Rider Build, and the original Kamen Rider soon!

This impressive set recreates both devices to the finest details including the Battleraizer’s cradle. But more importantly this pair has an incredible new feature billed as “voice recognition”, there’s a BGM mode to play music from the show, and there are numerous lines of show dialogue built in.  We don’t currently have release details or pricing but as soon as we do, most likely when the page for the set goes live, we’ll be sure to update you.

S.H. Figuarts Blood Stalk Gallery

Posted on July 8, 2018 at 12:28 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“You boys, never stood a chance against me.”

After devastating Mars, the extraterrestrial being Evolt came to Earth seeking to repeat this tragedy. To rebuild his arsenal & powers and become a complete being once again, he would play the long game of manipulating humans to do his bidding. Helping to create Faust, the Rider System, and taking on the guise of Blood Stalk, Evolt has meddled in human affairs for a over a decade. Now, he can also meddle with your collection thanks to the release of S.H. Figuarts Blood Stalk!

Blood Stalk sees the return of the well received mold created for Night Rogue with a few key changes to give Stalk his trademark Cobra theme. As ever this mold is nicely poseable and full of personality. But it’s the accessories that really sell it. Thanks to a full compliment of hands, a functional Transteam Rifle, and some new Steam Effect parts. This mold will undoubtedly return at least a third time for Mad Rogue and I eagerly await it!

For now though, you can check out our full review and complete 80 image gallery of S.H. Figuarts Blood Stalk after the jump by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. We’ll be back later this week with a review of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Lazer Turbo!

Possible 1st Full Image of Kamen Rider Zi-O Released

Posted on July 6, 2018 at 7:38 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

After some back and forth with teases, silhouettes, and a plethora of rumors, we may finally have our very first look at Kamen Rider Zi-O!

Thanks to a tweet from @therealmatthunt we have what appears to be Zi-O sporting a pretty radical time & letters/characters based design. The images comes courtesy of a brand new Buttobasoul advert. And while it isn’t a full body shot, yet, it certainly seems to be our first legitimate look at the character.

Join the discussion in our ongoing Kamen Rider Zi-O rumors and news thread below by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post.

Revealed publicly only last week, Tamashii Nations & Premium Bandai have officially opened up the order page for the upcoming S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Zero! Zero joins Garo (releasing this month) as so far the only other non-Kamen Rider character in the Seihou line. Given that both of these Makai Knights have been Web Exclusive releases, we’ll just have to wait and see when or if more Knights will eventually joins the line.

Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Wizard Flame Style Confirmed for Release

Posted on June 21, 2018 at 9:38 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

“Shabadoobie touch to henshin!”

It’s been years since the original Figuart for Wizard was released. However in recent months, Tamashii Nations has been displaying a prototype for a renewal of the figure. After a lot of speculation, and plenty of hope, we finally have confirmation on the release of S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Wizard Flame Style!

Wizard’s original S.H. Figuarts toyline was plagued by horrendous QC and wonky proportions. Of most modern figuarts lines, Wizard was certainly one that needed the Seihou renewal treatment. Now confirmed for release, Shinkocchou Seihou Wizard will be out in November 2018, it will be a retail release, and will be 7884 yen.
