SH Figuarts Kamen Rider G3-X Sponsored Gallery

Posted on May 14, 2014 at 7:34 pm by Chris under Kamen Rider

Deep from the depths of 2010 we bring you a special sponsored gallery courtesy of EntertainmentEarth.com. For a great selection of figures and collectibles from all different genres, including a selection of case pricing, check out EntertainmentEarth.com for your action figure and collectible needs!

Originally released four years ago in 2010, Kamen Rider G3-X (from the era of Kamen Rider Agito) manages something that a lot of the older S.H. Figuarts do not – it stands the test of time! Featuring the old waist and diecast metal feet, these older features actually work quite well for this figure which many refer to as the RoboCop Terminator. The Cerebrus Gun comes included with Kamen Rider G3-X, as well as the Unicorn, Scorpion, and Guard Acceler accessories.

For a more in-depth look at this figure including 40 total images as well as a small review, click the “Discuss on TokuNation forums” link and share your thoughts! Thanks again to EntertainmentEarth.com for sponsoring this gallery!

Kamen Rider Gaim Gold and Silver Apple Lockseeds Revealed

Posted on May 13, 2014 at 1:55 am by Chris under Kamen Rider

You knew it was only a matter of time before we finally got the apple as a Lockseed. Thanks to our friends at HeroTaku.com, we have an image for these upcoming Lockseeds. Along with the Lockseeds come new faceplates and shadowed Armored Riders, leading one to believe they are Lockseeds for two new Kamen Rider characters.

These Lockseeds will be sold as a set and released in July. Whether they are part of the Kamen Rider Gaim Summer Movie or part of the on-going Kamen Rider Gaim show are, as of now, unknown. Special thanks to Kamen Blitz of the TokuNation.com forums for the heads up!

Legacy Dragonzord Released in Canada – In Hand Images

Posted on May 10, 2014 at 10:06 am by Chris under Power Rangers

To all our friends up north – head to Toys’R’Us! The Legacy Dragonzord was spotted and purchased at Toys’R’Us store in Vancouver by ayane from the RangerBoard forums.

ayane also managed to take a ton of pictures of the Legacy Dragonzord. We’ve mirrored all 20 images here for your viewing pleasure. The original images were shared on RangerBoard. NOTE! The head-fin on the Legacy Dragonzord appears bent. This is apparently due to packaging – the plastic wrapped around the fin is too tight. There are many fixes for this and if it turns out to be a mass issue, we’ll share some tips and tricks on how to get it fixed.

Happy hunting!

Talkin Toku Episode 009 – Attack of the No No Cat

Posted on May 8, 2014 at 12:07 pm by Chris under Conventions, Godzilla, Kamen Rider, Power Morphicon, Power Rangers, San Diego Comic Con, Super Sentai, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates

The boys of the Talkin Toku Podcast are back at it with the release of their 9th episode, Attack of the No No Cat (blame Tom for that one). Join your hosts Kickback (Chris, @rankal), Den-O (Jordan, @DenO_Tokunation), and Sentai Tamashii (Tom, @SoulInkChu) as they touch on a number of topics from last week in the world of tokusatsu!

Some of the hot topics discussed – their reactions on the international trailer for the new Godzilla movie, their thoughts on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comic from Free Comic Book Day and just why Saban Brands did nothing to promote it (as well as some behind-the-scenes knowledge in the world of comics from our very own Sentai Tamashii, who works a freelance colorist and has done jobs for Marvel, DC, IDW Publishing, and Archie Comics), some good old fashioned toy talk with Kachidoki Arms and S.H. Figuarts Kyoryu Gold, and the usual show talk of Kamen Rider Gaim and Ressha Sentai ToQGer. But there’s even more stuff that’s discussed throughout the episode, including the No No Cat, spooky haunted microphones and/or alien contact, follow up on our last toy debate on Tamashii Nations and Super Sentai Figuarts, and so much more. Take a listen below!

Kickback also discusses the Fruit Henshin Contest and some details of the upcoming crossover episode with our good friends from the Ranger Command Power Hour Podcast scheduled for later this month. All the show details are below – do us a favor and click “Discuss” and share your thoughts! Till next time!

Power Morphicon Update – New Guests, Rumored Guests, and General Info

Posted on May 8, 2014 at 10:00 am by Chris under Conventions, Power Morphicon, Power Rangers

If you’re a fan of Power Rangers then you probably already know about the Official Power Morphicon Convention, which is the official Power Rangers convention held every other year in Pasadena, California. The next show is August 22nd through the 24th, 2014 at the Pasadena Convention Center in, obviously, Pasadena, California. This is the fourth Power Morphicon and is shaping up to be the largest, most impressive Power Morphicon to date! Touting the most special guests ever (81 as of the time of this posting), this is the show you do NOT want to miss!

On Monday, the official convention page updated with four new guests! We have them listed below!

  • Rajia Ann (“Delphine”, Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers White Ranger)
  • David De Lautour (“RJ”, Power Rangers Jungle Fury Wolf Ranger)
  • Ari Boyland (“Flynn”, Power Rangers RPM Blue Ranger)
  • Mark Richardson (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Art Department)

But the more delicious information came straight from the mouth of the head guy in charge of Power Morphicon at his other convention, Robo Toy Fest. Our friends at Dan’s Toku Rants had a chance to talk to Scott Zillner. During the conversation, he mentioned that they’re proud to have three complete teams of Power Rangers in attendance – Power Rangers Wild Force, Power Rangers SPD, and Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue. Fans who have paid close attention to the show know that half the Rangers from Lightspeed Rescue have yet to be officially announced – does this mean that in the coming weeks we will have announcements for the Lightspeed Rescue Yellow Ranger, Blue Ranger, and Titanium Ranger? Stay tuned…

Scott Zillner also went on to describe some changes in this year’s show from the previous show. For starters, the venue has more than doubled in size – from 24,000 square feet to over 50,000 square feet. There will be 3 on-going panel rooms throughout the show. And he teased some “big surprises”, and to quote, “If you miss Saturday, you will be very sad”. He also announced that the next Robo Toy Fest (December 20th, 2014) will be a Robotech Reunion and have a very heavy focus on Robotech. To get the whole scoop, check out the episode from Dan’s Toku Rants.

If you haven’t registered for Power Morphicon yet, you’re missing out. Head on over to the Official Power Morphicon website and get your registration set up! TokuNation.com is proud to be attending as a Platinum Member, giving us early access and front-row seats for all the panels and events. We cannot wait to cover the event, and we cannot wait to meet all of you! We will see you at the show!

TokuNation.com’s Fruit Henshin Contest

Posted on May 7, 2014 at 11:38 pm by Chris under Contests and Giveaways, Kamen Rider, TokuNation

It’s time for another TokuNation.com contest/give-away! As we’ve teased on both our Facebook page as well as our @TokuNation twitter feed, we’re giving away some stuff from the Kamen Rider Gaim Arms Change toy line as well as the Lockseed toy line! This contest starts RIGHT NOW and lasts until Sunday, May 25th 2014.

The contest is simple – take a picture of yourself (or have someone else do it for you) in a henshin/morphing pose (your favorite pose, or your own pose) while holding a piece of fruit! Feel free to add special effects to your picture, just please note that the entire concept of the contest is for you to be holding an actual piece of fruit (ie: don’t digitally edit a fruit in to your picture, it must be included in the picture to begin with). If you cosplay, you can get some bonus points from our judges if you include yourself in costume. Once finished, send your picture in an E-mail to contest@tokunation.com. Include your full name, TokuNation.com forum name (if applicable), and Twitter handle (if applicable). Deadline to enter is Sunday, May 25th 2014. Winners to be announced on or near Sunday, June 1st 2014.

The grand-prize winner will have their choice of one of two prize packages – either the package containing the Arms Change Kamen Rider Baron and Arms Change Kamen Rider Zangetsu Shin, or the package containing the Gashapon Kamen Rider Agito Lockseed and Fresh Orange Lockseed. The runner-up will receive the package the grand-prize winner did not select.

YOU MUST BE 18 YEARS OR OLDER TO ENTER. CONTEST IS OPEN TO RESIDENTS WORLD-WIDE.

For a full list of rules and such, simply click the discussion thread for the contest here. Questions about the contest should also be posted in that thread. Best of luck to everyone who enters!

Banpresto Kamen Rider Gaim Statue Gallery

Posted on May 5, 2014 at 12:07 pm by Chris under Kamen Rider

As a self-proclaimed giant Kamen Rider Gaim fan, I had no qualms with purchasing this statue from Banpresto! What I didn’t expect was just how amazing this statue is – both with the details and the overall quality – and it is now become a centerpiece for my Kamen Rider Gaim collection!

Standing at over a foot tall with the stand, the statue is hallow making it light weight. The paint is, for the most part, perfectly applied (there’s some smearing on the leg paint where there’s gold on the criss-cross pattern of his suit). But the details on everything from the visor, the Sengoku Driver, the Pine and Ichigo Lockseeds, the Musou Saber, and the armor itself makes this statue a must-own for any die-hard fan of Kamen Rider Gaim.

Click the title of the story to see more pictures, and to see all 30+ images, click on the discussion link on the bottom of the thread! This thing is beautiful and very affordable – what are you waiting for? Sound off and share your thoughts!
