The biannual Power Morphicon has come and gone but we’re still sharing images from the event! There were so many things to take pictures of and so little time to do it that we’re still catching up! Hasbro pulled out all the stops in their first-ever Power Morphicon by cracking open the vaults and showing off some Legendary Rangers goodness in a number of costumes and props from the last 25 years.

Today is Sunday, August 19th and it is the FINAL DAY of this year’s official Power Morphicon convention! It has been a wild ride to say the least and we’re sad to see it go – but there’s still a full day of activities to enjoy! We will have comic news with a BOOM! It is time to morph in to action Power Rangers fans! It is Saturday, August 18th which means we are now in DAY TWO of the official Power Morphicon convention! If you’re a fan of Power Rangers – you should be here! Today is the big day with TWO Hasbro panels happening back to back, right near the start of the show! Obviously leaving us plenty of time to foam at the mouth for the rest of the day. Will we see the Beast Morphers cast reveal? Our Magic 8-Ball says “Yes!”.

This weekend is the Official Power Morphicon convention! On Friday, the show opened and fans of Power Rangers enjoyed quite a treat from the Hasbro booth – a number of show-used costumes and props from 25 years of the history. One item in particular that had a lot of interest was the prop from the series Power Rangers In Space, the Astro Megaship prop.

An older prop that has some wear and tear (missing some turrets) it is still in great condition. We took a number of photos from different angles – click the title of the story to see all the images!

Attention fans of the Power Rangers! The bi-annual official Power Morphicon is officially UNDER WAY here at Anaheim, California! Today is Friday, August 17th 2018 which means it is day one for Power Morphicon and the biggest celebration of the Power Rangers and its 25th Anniversary. So what is happening today?

You can begin checking in to the convention (if you pre-registered) at 12pm! Use a photo ID and/or your printed invoice to receive all of your swag and head down to the official convention store to pick up all your pre-ordered merchandise. After that – you wait! The fun begins at 4pm PDT.

Fans of the Legacy Power Rangers toys are well aware of the massive restock coming this winter to online retailers of all the older Legacy roleplay items and Megazords. There is currently no ETA on when these will be released but our assumption is sometime this winter if not very early in 2019. It is important to note that just because these items are listed in the system does NOT mean that they will be releasing, only that the manufacturer has solicited the items to retailers in preparation to begin taking orders for fulfillment.

With no listing for Psycho Pink or Psycho Yellow, the fears that those figures never made it past the early prototype stage before Bandai America pulled the plug are beginning to rise. Our fingers are crossed that they show up eventually, sometime, in someone’s system. But with the clock ticking until Hasbro’s official release date of product, the chances are growing slimmer.

The biggest event in Power Rangers history – the Shattered Grid in the BOOM! Studios comic books – is getting a live show at this year’s Power Morphicon! Kyle Higgins, writer of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, has assembled an all-star cast of Power Rangers alumni to take part in a live-reading of key comic book scenes from the entirety of the Shattered Grid story! Today, in Japan, the Kamen Rider Zi-O cast was announced. The series will begin airing on September 2nd 2018. The following are our main characters for the next Kamen Rider series:

– Kamen Rider Zi-O is played by Sou Okuna (奥野壮)
– Kamen Rider Geiz is played by Gaku Oshida (押田岳)
– Tsukuyomi is played by Shieri Ohata

The first few episodes will feature Kamen Rider Zi-O and Kamen Rider Geiz traveling back in time, meeting up with Kamen Rider Build, Kamen Rider Cross-Z, Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, and Kamen Rider Brave. The premises of Kamen Rider Zi-O is that he travels through time using the powers of previous Kamen Riders throughout the Heisei era.

For years upon years, the S.H. Figuarts line of figures from Bandai Japan have been considered the ultimate visual form of our favorite spandex-clad superheroes from Japan. Featuring heavy articulation, show-accurate paint and details, as well as a variety of weapons and accessories, you really cannot beat a S.H. Figuart in terms of feeling you have a “complete” figure. Then something called “Rider Kick Figures“, or RKF, emerged recently.

Bandai Japan would like to appeal to those who cannot always afford a solid $50 for a figure.

Releasing in September is the brand new action figure line “Rider Kick Figures” which literally, and I quote, has the catchphrase “It’s cheap and it moves!”. Consider our interests piqued. The first figure to release will be Kamen Rider Build in his Rabbit/Tank form. Following his release will be Kamen Rider Cross-Z and Kamen Rider Grease (shown in pictures attached to the article), and announced or teased figures include Kamen Rider Zi-O, Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, Kamen Rider Evolt, and Kamen Rider Build Dragon/Rabbit form.
