In a rather bizarre turn of events, the company behind the Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends toy-line has announced a cross brand promotion with Saban’s Power Rangers.
Thomas trains themed after characters from the first and second season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers will see release though currently, there’s no word on release date and price point but stay tuned and we’ll bring more up to date information as it’s made available.
Awhile back, we heard rumours that a brand new Mighty Morphin Power Rangers video game was in the works. A press release has gone out, giving us not only a handful of screenshots but also a trailer coming courtesy of Powerrangersnow and Youtube.
The game appears to be a standard action brawler with local multiplayer that allows for up to four players siamotainously on the screen with a secondary fighting game style mode for Megazord combat, the press release promises a deep, intuitive fighting system . Levels will be based on episodes from the TV show with Tommy Oliver being a hidden unlockable character as both the Green and White Rangers in addition to Adam, Rocky, Kat, and Aisha.
No word on price point or release date, though a demo will be avalaible for those attending New York Comic Con 2016 this weekend, but for those that couldn’t go the trailer for the game can be seen below:
The hits just keep coming tonight, with the latest announcement of a new Premium Bandai Kamen Rider Converge set!
This particular page includes PB05, PB06, and PB07 all in one package, which will contain all nine of Kamen Rider OOO’s main Combos, going in order of the image:
Each figure will have a separate gimmick that will allow for the more random Combo changes. The Kamen Rider Converge OOO Combo Change set will be released in January 2017, retailing for 8100 yen.
Bandai’s official Youtube page just released the first preview video to the up coming Kamen Rider Ex-Aid update to their Ganbarizing game, which not only adds new characters and cards to the roster but also changes the arcade machines themselves to accommodates the Gashats.
In addition to all these updates, the video shows Ex-Aid’s transformation sequence into his Action Gamer LV-2 form along with demonstrating noises from the Gamer Driver itself:
Our first round of Kamen Rider Ex-Aid toy reviews and demonstrations are beginning to come in, starting with the DX Sharakiri Spirts Gashat coming courtesy of Youtube reviewer toyhappy whom managed to get one early ahead of everyone else.

It seems the rumour mill is beginning to churn for the 41st Super Sentai series following Zyuohger, with Toei seemingly having filled out a trade mark application for a show translated as Uchuu Sentai Kyuranger as the title suggests: next year’s show could be heading for an outer space theme. The trademark appeared via @trademark_bot on Twitter whom in the past was responsible for revealing the currently airing Dobutsu Sentai Zyuohger’s title.
Keep in mind that Toei has yet to make any sort of official statement or announcement on this title, for all we know this trademark could end up being nothing or for another unrelated project all together. So for now take this announcement with a heavy dosage of salt and as always: we’ll bring more up to date information on this subject as it becomes readily avalaible.
With the launch of Kamen Rider Ex-Aid’s first wave of toys hitting next month, Bandai’s finally gone ahead and released official images of this year’s transforming gimmick based action figure line.
Of course, the Level Up Rider series starts off with none other than Ex-Aid himself, the package well include a way for him to turn into both his Action Gamer and LV-1 form.
There’s no clear indication on how the two pieces will interact, though the various plugs and ports all over the figure’s body suggests that there will be some sort of armour on gimmick ala the Cast Off Rider series from Kamen Rider Kabuto’s line.
LVUR01 Ex Aid Action Gamer will be hitting shelves in October, with an asking price of 4200 yen.
With the debut of Kamen Rider Ex-Aid looming overhead, Toei’s finally released the first full length preview for next year’s show online, giving us a glimpse of not only how the characters interact with one another but a few scenes with Kamen Rider Brave, Kamen Rider Snipe, and Kamen Rider Ex-Aid in action.

Bandai’s next instalment of the Kamen Rider Converge series is here. Kamen Rider Converge Vol.4 will contain Kamen Rider OOO TaToBa Combo, Ankh in his completed Greed Form, Kamen Rider Kiva Kiva Form, Kamen Rider IXA Burst Mode, and finally Kamen Rider Another Agito.
Much like W from the previous set, OOO will be able to split apart for a Combo Change gimmick, which likely means that we should be getting his other Combos somewhere down the line.
Kamen Rider Converge Vol 4 will be released sometime this December.
It seems that a brand new Power Rangers video game is currently in the works, with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle having been given a rating in Europe. At the moment, not much is known about the project other than the fact that it will be made avalaible for the Sony Playstation 4 console, Bandai Namco has yet to announce a publisher. This will mark the first Mighty Morphin Power Rangers game we’ve gotten since the SNES–Genesis console era!
