Bandai Japan has revealed some new entries in the 46th Super Sentai toyline!

The series Avataro Sentai DonBrothers marks a break in tradition for Super Sentai- instead of the regular DX Mecha releases the DonBrothers will instead have new forms released as part of the Change Heroes subline.

First up in the series is Change Heroes Don Momotaro Alter– the leader of the DonBrothers transforms from metal peach to giant robot to fight off dangerous enemies using the Don Momotaro Alter Gear. This figure will be cross-compatible with releases from the Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger Change Heroes Line. Change Heroes Don Momotaro Alter is priced at 2200 Yen.

The Alter Gears can also awaken the powers of past Super Sentai- with the first release being Ressha Sentai ToQGer! Using the ToQGer Avataro Alter Gear Don Momotaro can combine with the ToQGer Mecha- creating Don ToQ Momotaro Alter! This Change Hero ToQGer will be sold separately for 2200 Yen or in a set with Don Momotaro Alter for 4400 Yen.

Both Change Hero DonBrother Alters are set for release in March 2022!

Toei has completed their annual Super Sentai press conference, introducing the world to the 46th Super Sentai Series Avataro Sentai DonBrothers!

The DonBrothers team consists of:

*Don Momotaro (Momoi Taro) played by Kohei Higuchi is a young man who arrived on Earth in a peach-shaped capsule as a child. He is a competent swordsman who cannot tell a lie.

*Saru Brother (Shinichi Saruhara) played by Yuki Beppu is known as “The Professor” for his analytical mindset. He fights with brute strength and can quickly spot an opponents’ weakness.

*Oni Sister (Kito Haruka) played by Shida Kohaku is the youngest of the team, an aspiring manga artist with a combat style built on tricking enemies.

*Inu Brother (Tsubasa Inuzuka) played by Totaro is a wanted fugitive at the start of the series, hunting down the one who committed the crime he is accused of. Upon transforming he becomes much shorter and faster.

*Kiji Brother (Tsuyoshi Kijino) played by Hirofumi Suzuki is the oldest of the team; as the series begins he lives a normal life compared to the others. He specializes in aerial combat attacks.

And one familiar face remains in the DonBrothers cast: Kita Komagine, currently playing Kaito Goshikida in Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger! Kaito returns in this series as the owner of a coffee shop named DonBro and with a new set of powers- transforming into ZenKaiger Black!

Rounding out the DonBrothers supporting cast is Sohkoh Wada as Jin Momoi– Don Momotaro’s foster parent. Jin found the peach-shaped capsule containing Momoi Taro as a child; after coming into contact with the child Jin stopped aging. As the series begins Jin is in prison but can appear to the others using a holographic projection of himself.

The enemies of the Avataro Sentai DonBrothers are a group known as the Brain Persons! This villain team has three core members:

*Sonoi (played by Yuya Tominaga) is the calm-headed leader who loves painting.
*Sononi (played by Amisa Miyazaki) is a woman obsessed with human affairs.
*Sonoza (played by Shinnosuke Takahashi) is a man fascinated by human emotions since he cannot control his own.

The opening theme to DonBrothers is I Am The Only One! performed by MORISAKI WIN and features a dance sequence demonstrated by the cast:

Bandai Japan has a special surprise on the horizon for Metal Hero fans!

A Complete Edition of the B-Commander device used by the Juukou B-Fighther team (known to Western audiences as the Big Bad Beetleborgs) has been announced! Pricing & release dates are not confirmed at time of writing.

Orders will officially open on February 3 2022.

One more special release for the Hyakuju Sentai Gaoranger Shodo SUPER series has just been announced!

The Gaorangers’ iconic villain, the Wolf Demon Duke Org Rouki will join the SUPER lineup. Rouki is recreated in exquisite detail, with this release including his signature Flute Knife and Crescent Moon Wave.

Shodo SUPER Duke Org Rouki is scheduled for premium release in June 2022. His price is a modest 2500 Yen before shipping and fees!

Power Rangers Dino Fury brings another historic first to the Power Rangers franchise!

The Dino Fury series has been nominated for a GLAAD Media award- a celebration of representation & inclusion in media for LGBTQ persons or issues- in the category of Outstanding Kids & Family Programming.

This GLAAD nomination for the character of Izzy Garcia, the first confirmed LGBT+ character in Power Rangers, hopefully represents the beginning of a more open & inclusive Ranger era.

It appears the fan-favorite Shogukan Modeling Project is not done with the Hyakuju Sentai Gaoranger series just yet!

A teaser from the recent SMP release of GaoHunter confirms the next release in the line: the mightiest combination, GaoIcarus!

Sadly, no other information about the SMP GaoIcarus release has been confirmed at time of writing. Stay tuned to TokuNation for further details!

Bandai Japan has published a set of images for the first Kamen Rider Revice entries in the SH Figuarts toyline!

*Kamen Rider Revi is perfectly recreated in his Rex Genome form, and includes the Rex VSTamp and the OniBuster 50 weapon. SH Figuarts Kamen Rider Revi is scheduled for release in February 2022 with an initial price of 3850 Yen.

*Kamen Rider Vice features his own Rex Genome form but also includes the Mammoth VSTamp and a separate OniBuster 50 accessory. SH Figuarts Kamen Rider Vice is also scheduled for a February 2022 release priced at 4950 Yen.

Netflix has published a teaser trailer for the upcoming second season of their Ultraman anime project!

This new seasons features Ultraman son Shinjiro Hayata uniting with five other Ultras: SEVEN, ZOFFY, ACE, JACK & TARO. Together they must defeat a threat of cosmic proportions!

Netflix Ultraman Season 2 will consist of six episodes. The season is expected to begin streaming on April 14 2022!

Toei has confirmed some more returning cast members for the upcoming Kamen Rider OOO tenth anniversary project!

All four of the iconic Greeed will return in their human forms-

*Yusuke Yamada, playing Uva
*Taito Hashimoto, playing Kazari
*Honoka Yahagi, playing Mezool
*Hiroyuki Matsumoto playing Gamel

In addition, a FIFTH Greeed will join the cast for this film: the character Gouda will be portrayed by actor Satoshi Hino. However, the character design has not been revealed at time of writing.

Kamen Rider OOO: 10th Core Medal Resurrection will officially be released on August 24 2022!

A new Super Sentai means new merchandise!

Today we have our first official images for the first quarter of the 46th Super Sentai series, Avataro Sentai DonBrothers! This quarters’ releases will include:

*A Change Hero set of action figures for each of the DonBrothers- Don Momotaro, Saru Brother, Oni Sister, Kiji Brother & Inu Brother– with special weapons. Each Change Hero figure is sold individually for 1650 Yen and a boxset of all five will be available for 8250 Yen.

*The DX DonBlaster! This is the signature weapon & henshin device of the Avataro Sentai. The DonBlaster draws power from the unique Avataro Gears. The DX DonBlasters’ release will include 2 Avataro Gears- Don Momotaro & ZenKaiser. This release will cost 5280 Yen.

*The DX Donbra Buckle acts as a carrying case for the Avataro Gears. This release includes the Gears for Saru Brother, Oni Sister, Kiji Brother & Inu Brother. The DX Donbra Buckle will cost 2970 Yen.

*The DX Zangla Sword– signature weapon of Don Momotaro! This weapon is priced at 4950 Yen.

*The DX Enya Ridon– Don Momotaro’s personal vehicle! First Mecha in the DonBrothers line, the Enya Ridon will cost 4950 Yen.

*And finally, the DX Don ZenkaiOh! This special set is a release of the Enya Ridon bundled with a repack of Zenkaigers’ DX Zenkai Zyuran to complete the double-sided combination. DX Don ZenkaiOh is priced at 8250 Yen.
