The biggest and most exciting news prior to this year’s Power Morphicon was the Kickstarter launch for the Renegade Games project Power Rangers Heroes of the Grid. Renegade Games was in full attendance at Power Morphicon pulling in quite a large crowd to demo the game first hand and to check out all the proposed and upcoming game pieces thanks to continued support of the Kickstarter.

The biannual Power Morphicon has come and gone sending many Power Rangers fans home happy and poor. At the convention were our friends from Bluefin Tamashii Nations showcasing their current upcoming product. On display was the Soul of Chogokin Titanus (many claim it is simply a Legacy Titanus), their convention circuit exclusives Soul of Chogokin Black Megazord, Green and Red Ranger S.H. Figuarts with human heads, as well as the upcoming S.H. Figuarts Mighty Morphin White Ranger with human head.

Thanks to some fresh scans floating around from this month’s Figure Oh we have release information on a selection of new S.H. Figuarts, but more on that in a minute. In the mean time this issue has just confirmed official release information for Soul of Chogokin GX-85 King Brachion! This figure was just revealed to be in the works at this weekend’s Power Morphicon 2018 under it’s western release as Soul of Chogokin Titanus.

Figure Oh confirms that King Brachion is headed for a February 2019 release at 29,160 yen. Which seems to be a bit under most people’s expectations on price. Brachion also appears to be a general retail release, likely because of it’s western distribution as Titanus. With these confirmations we can expect official images of the figure to be released in the new future. When they are, we’ll be sure to update our ongoing discussion thread.

The biannual Power Morphicon has come and gone but we’re still sharing images from the event! There were so many things to take pictures of and so little time to do it that we’re still catching up! Hasbro pulled out all the stops in their first-ever Power Morphicon by cracking open the vaults and showing off some Legendary Rangers goodness in a number of costumes and props from the last 25 years.

Today the good people at BOOM! Studios take center stage at Power Morphicon to offer fans a quick look at the future adventures of their fan-favorite Power Rangers comic book series.

*With the much-hyped SHATTERED GRID winding down, the time has come to look Beyond The Grid! This new phase of the story begins in Issue #32 of the comic.

*A major character in this new story will be a comic original- the Solar Ranger! This purple & gold female Ranger is a BOOM! original creation! Her story will begin in January 2019.

*Backing up the new Power Ranger team in Beyond The Grid is the Dark Ranger! This new character (a previously-unused concept from Power Rangers Dino Charge) is at last revealed in full, but out of respect for those who wish to go in unspoiled we will NOT be revealing his true identity here. PLEASE TAG ALL SPOILERS WHEN DISCUSSING!

*Outside the grid, new adventures are coming to Go Go Power Rangers! This series will explore the story of Rita Repulsa and reveal at last how the Green Power Coin was obtained.

*The original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers team goes through some unique changes in Go Go Power Rangers- including unpredictable color swaps and a VERY unexpected romance! These are currently scheduled for release in Fall 2018.

Today is Sunday, August 19th and it is the FINAL DAY of this year’s official Power Morphicon convention! It has been a wild ride to say the least and we’re sad to see it go – but there’s still a full day of activities to enjoy! We will have comic news with a BOOM! Studios panel and some fun convention staff run panels.

Rounding out an exciting day of Power Morphicon reveals, we now have the first full trailer for the next Power Rangers series!

Power Rangers Beast Morphers is set in the near-future, where scientists have learned to channel the powers of the legendary Morphing Grid to create technology far beyond anything seen before. But when the EVOX computer virus gains sentience & wants the Grid for himself, a team of warriors must unite to stop him- by combining Morphing Grid energy with animal DNA to become the newest team of Power Rangers!

Power Rangers Beast Morphers will be airing on Nickelodeon in 2019! Stay tuned to TokuNation as we keep you up to date on this remarkable new adventure in Ranger history!

We’re back, with even more photos of today’s biggest announcement from Power Morphicon 2018. The Lightning Collection Mighty Morphin White Ranger! Which has absolutely been the talk of the con since it’s debut.

Our very own @TokuChris has been struggling to get a signal to send us photos and videos. But it seems he’s finally found the sweet spot of the convention center to get us a new smattering of up close looks at the Lighting Collection White Ranger! We’ll be back a bit later one with super hi-res shots of this display prototype, as well as a massive gallery of all the props, helmets, and full ranger suits on display at Power Morphicon 2018!

“It’s Morphin’ Time!

Announced at Hasbro’s Power Morphicon panel earlier today, the new Lightning Collection is already shaping up to be a fantastic replacement for Bandai’s now defunct Legacy 6.5″ line of figures. This amazing new line of 6″ scale, show accurate, accessorized, and affordable ($19.99) figures is a welcome addition for collectors worldwide.

Via the official Power Rangers Twitter account, we also now have access to the video shown announcing the line at said panel. This video breakdown gives us a look at the entire construction and production process of the prototype seen at the Con today. Which was then displayed publicly by Hasbro after the show.

Our old friend @JmannDX has provided us with some new higher-res shots of the Lightning Collection White Ranger as well, attached to the story after the jump. For now, see the video above for a fantastic first look at this line and what we can hope for in the future!

Perhaps the biggest event at Power Morphicon today is the reveal of the next generation of Power Rangers!

At long last we get to meet the faces behind Power Rangers Beast Morphers– an adaptation of the 2012 Super Sentai series Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters.

This new Ranger team consists of:

*Rorrie Travid as the Red Ranger
*Jasmeet Baduwalia as the Blue Ranger
*Jacqueline Scislowski as the Yellow Ranger
