59 years ago today, the birth of one of the most recognized icon in Tokusatsu was born.

Since 1954, Toho Co.. Ltd. has produced over 28 films, he also appeared in video games, novels, TV series and now leads the Tamashii Nation’s S.H. MonsterArts for Bandai. A force to be reckoned with, Godzilla has roared his way to a legendary status in the world of pop culture.

Let’s take a moment and wish Godzilla a well deserved happy birthday, and with another film to bear his namesake is on the horizon, let’s recall your first Godzilla experience.

The Legendary Godzilla film coming next summer has many, many kaiju fans excited, and both kids and kids-at-heart alike are almost as eager for the new toys that will come of Godzilla 2014 and his unnamed new foes.

Earlier today, courtesy of online store Urban Collector, we now know a little more about the main toyline coming next year, to be released by Bandai America. Four different preorders are currently known of assortments (cases) of Godzilla products, with a continuation of the Chibi Figure line as two-packs, a new Deluxe action figure price point, smaller gimmicky action figures, and the return of a smaller style playset similar to the Crumble Zone released many years ago.

Do note that no pictures of the lines are currently available and that there are spoilers relating to Godzilla’s opponents given in these descriptions. Read on to learn more!

After what seems like an ages long wait we finally have our first look at the action in Legendary Pictures 2014 Godzilla movie! This footage was shown at the Legendary panel during SDCC 2013. Watch this video NOW, it’s been taken down left and right all over by Legendary’s legal team. It’s truly a monstrous sight to behold.
