With Gaim unfortunately winding down its excellent run, new rumors regarding the next Kamen Rider installment have come online!

An impressive new vehicle concept photo has been circulating through various news outlets but at the time no sources have confirmed if this car is indeed connected to Kamen Rider Drive (though if true, this would prove the fan theory that Kamen Rider Drive uses a car instead of the traditional motorcycle).

In addition, Bandai of Japan has apparently filed a trademark for the name Drive Driver in relation to the upcoming series- presumably the name of next seasons’ henshin device.

Can you tell that the convention season is in full swing? Every weekend there’s another show with another toku-related guest appearing! And we’re struggling to keep up! But for those of you who are planning to attend this year’s Anime Expo you’re in for a special treat!

For starters – fans of Kamen Rider Gaim will have a chance to meet the man responsible for this incredible series. The writer of the series, Gen Urobuchi, will be in attendance at this year’s show. He will be hosting his own panel to discuss his current and upcoming projects, and will be appearing at the Good Smile Company booth to sign autographs on Friday and Saturday starting at 11:00am.

And for you Power Rangers fans, you too have reason to rejoice! Alex Heartman, known better as Jayden the Power Rangers Samurai Red Ranger, as well as Hector David Jr. also known as Mike the Power Rangers Samurai Green Ranger will be in attendance on both Saturday and Sunday at the Power Morphicon/Robo Toy Fest booth. Exact times and autograph opportunities have yet to be listed.

Anime Expo 2014 is THIS weekend. In fact, it technically starts Thursday, July 3rd and runs through Sunday, July 6th. We are pleased to state that TokuNation.com will be in attendance (simply as fans), but will share any and all information with you that’s made available – especially anything Kamen Rider Gaim related that Gen Urobuchi reveals! Did you bring your ticket? Because it’s officially Let’s Watch Wednesdays again here at TokuNation! And Kamen Rider Den-O is on the tracks!

The strain of 4 Imagin has finally begun to set in on Ryutarou. At the same time an old friend returns to town, of course a new character means a new Imagin is here to ruin the past! Specifically a past tied to Ryutarou’s own. And the revelation of the hooded man, of his past with Airi. The man known as Sakurai Yuuto. A watch, a solemn lake, the hooded man, and a stranger with a Ticket,  the past present & future are all colliding.

Fun Fact #6
Kintaros, is the 3rd Imagin to join the Den-Liner crew. And his incredible strength and kind heart are based on the legend of the Golden Boy, Kintaro! Kintaro is known to have a few minor differences in his origin, but they generally wind up with the young boy in the forests of Mount Kintoko.

It’s undisputed however that he was strong, fierce, large (or rather plump), and carried a hatchet from a very young age. He befriended the animals of the forests, some say he even learned their languages, he fought demons, sumo wrestled bears, cut trees, and generally was a rambunctious child. Tales of his strength have been spoken of for years since. Kintaros the Imagin bears the motif of a strong golden bear and carries the type of hatchet that Kintaro is most popularly thought to have had.

Kamen Rider Gaim toys just continue to flood the market! And today is no different, in this weeks installment of Toy Tuesdays @ TokuNation we’re bringing you a gallery of another of these recent releases in the form of S.H. Figuarts Sakura Hurricane!

Sakura Hurricane is of course the sweet sweet trans-dimensional hopping bike of our titular hero. Previously a “DX” lock seed style Lock Vehicle of this bike had been released by Bandai of Japan as a part of the Gaim main line of toys. But now collector’s finally have this wonderful addition for their collections. Though it doesn’t feature the spiffy transformation gimmick of the Lock Vehicles line, it does have a fantastic sculpt and a premium paint job. Though commonly for an SHF vehicle it’s lacking in the accessories department.

Just about a week ahead of it’s actual retail release, Bandai has released official images of Arms Change AC13 Kamen Rider Gaim Kiwami Arms!

We already knew the figure could utilize the Arms of other AC figures by simply removing the shoulder pads and cape.  But these new images show us that not only can the included dummy Kachidoki Armor be used to replicate the “cast off” style transformation to this form, but it actually appears to be a dial turn/spring loaded gimmick! By turning the dial the forward pieces will shoot off the figure! Weapons included with this figure are the DJ Gun in gun mode and it’s combined form, Taiken Mode.

This figure will be released in Japan on July 5th, that’s this weekend, for 3500 yen. For what’s expected to be the final retail release in the Arms Change line, it’s certainly going out with a bang!

A fresh new trailer for Gaim’s upcoming summer movie has hit the Net. The new trailer reveals a few interesting scenes, with a battle between Bravo’s army of mercanaries and Takatora’s Kurokage forces.

In addition, the trailer reveals Kamen Rider Mars’ henshin tune as well as giving us a preview of the theme song “Your Song” performed by none other than Gaim No Kaze.

Magazine scan time has come around once again for Kamen Riders this month! And it looks like this months’ main focus is the Kamen Rider Gaim movie, The Great Soccer Match! The Golden Fruit Cup! 

This newest set of scans from the film reveals some in action shots of new comer fighters Kamen Rider’s Mars & Kamuro. Also shown is Gaim’s Dark Jinba Arms in action, a selection of some of the new Arms Changes Gaim will be trying out in the film, and a team-up or two you may not ever have expected to see.

Overshadowing this though is one bombshell scan from from an upcoming episode of  Kamen Rider Gaim. MAJOR SPOILERS below so read on at your own risk:

These scans show us the return of Takatora with his original Sengoku Driver, utilizing the Original Kamen Rider Zangetsu suit! He goes toe to toe in these scans with his brother Micchy still posing as Shin Zangetsu. Upcoming episode rumors say the outcome of this battle will see the elder Kureshima brother on top.

And we’re back with more Kamen Rider Den-O! 3 Imagin now possess Ryutaro. As the weight of that continues to bear on his body and soul, what will he do when a hidden 4th awakens within him? Ryutaros unveils himself! This dragon themed, break dancing, trouble maker is here for one reason. To Defeat Ryutarou. But before he can do that, Den-O Gun Form will rise!

Meanwhile the memories in Airi’s heart begin to surface. Memories of a telescope, of stars once seen, and a love once loved. A familiar watch is in her possession as well, one that a mystery man still holds as well. Inscribed within are the words “the past should give us hope”. What does this mean for Airi? Why does this man continue to appear? Time will tell.

Fun Fact #5

Urataros was the 2nd Imagin to join the Den-Liner crew. As such we explore his origins in myth next! Urataros is based on the legend of Urashimataro. Dating back to nearly the 8th century this legend centers around the fisherman Urashimataro who’s act of kindness, saving a small turtle from violent children, earned him the respect of the sea emperor Ryujin. Urashimataro had coincidentally just saved Ryujin’s daughter.

Given gills to breath water and taken to the bottom of the sea Urashimatro was welcomed by Ryujin and his daughter, now a lovely princess named Otohime. Despite his pleasurable stay in the palace of Ryugu-Jo he asks to retun home mere days after his arrival. given a box that will protect, but instructed by Otohime not to open it, Urashimataro returns to the surface. In his absence what felt like mere days to him had actually been 300 years. His family and life as he knew it were gone, in a panic he opened the Tamatebako box given to him by Otohime. Which unleashed the ravages of 300 years of rapid age upon him….
