The second Lock Seed/Accessory set for the CSM Kamen Rider Gaim series is here – Team Baron!  The details have also been shared as we get our first official look at the redesigned Energy Lock Seeds.  Of note is the inclusion of the “Power Down” sound effect in the Energy Lock Seeds which was included in the original DX toys but was incredibly difficult to get to activate.

The set includes:

  • Banana Lock Seed
  • Mango Lock Seed
  • Walnut Lock Seed
  • Maron Energy Lock Seed
  • Matsubokkuri Energy Lock Seed
  • Baron Face Plate
  • Black Baron / Proto Baron Face Plate
  • Blank Face Plate (Knuckle ver.)

The designer blog of this set mentions that while the blank face plate is virtually the same as included int he Project Ark version, this one specifically is for Kamen Rider Knuckle and will have sound effects for his Rider whereas the one in Project Ark is designed for the Kurokage Trooper and will have different sound effects.  Check out the designer blog here.

Toei has announced a number of new casting details for the upcoming streaming projects Rider Time: Kamen Rider Zi-O VS Kamen Rider Decade!

In addition to Masahiro Inoue reprising his role as Kamen Rider Decade (for possibly the last time), this project will see the return of fellow world-traveler Onodera Yūsuke– the AU Kamen Rider Kuuga played once again by Ryouta Murai.

A number of other Rider alumni will be making cameos in this streaming special- including Kamen Rider Gaims own Metal Yoshida as a Yakuza housewife.

The most interesting reveal concerns a pair of new Rider forms for the lead characters-

*Kamen Rider Zi-O will receive a new RideWatch for the current hero, Kamen Rider Saber– unlocking the power of Kamen Rider Zi-O Decade Armor Saber Form.

*Kamen Rider Decade activates a new model K-TOUCH to channel the powers of all Kamen Rider Final Forms- creating Kamen Rider Decade Complete Form 21!

The two part Rider Time specials are currently scheduled for release on the Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club streaming service beginning February 9 2021.

The crew of the Den-Liner is starting to come together, with the latest addition to join the Shinkocchou Seihou line up from Kamen Rider Den-O: S.H.Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Zeronos Altair Form!

We first caught wind of this figure at the last Tamaashii Nations event and after that showcasing, Bandai is finally gearing up to release this bad boy with a plethora of photos having been uploaded on the Tamashii Nations Blog just now. The figure will include signature items such as the Zeronos Card and ZeroGasher weapons, the ZeroGasher can be converted into both sword and crossbow modes!

No price or release date was given at the time of this update, but we do know that pre-orders for this figure will begin January 22nd so be sure to check back with us then for further updates.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Kamen Rider, the Toei Tokusatsu World YouTube Channel is uploading select episodes of the Kamen Rider franchise on YouTube.  These episodes have English subtitles (via the “Closed Caption” option) and is available to everyone around the world to watch (some rare exclusions may apply).

Remember way back when Tamashii Nations had that big old vote to determine which limited release S.H. Figuart Kamen Rider figure should get a re-release?  Well the results are in and according to Figsoku after 50,000 total votes we have a winner!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Ohma Zi-O will be re-released.  Orders will open via Tamashii Web Shop on February 12th, 2021.  This will be your final chance at obtaining this figure.  Maybe.  Probably.

2021 marks the 50th anniversary of the legendary Kamen Rider franchise, and a big anniversary calls for a big celebration!

Toei has officially announced that they will be uploading episodes of Kamen Rider to the Toei Tokusatsu World channel on YouTube with official English subtitles. The current plan is to release 1-2 episodes a week, encompassing EVERY Kamen Rider series!

This is a monumental opportunity for Kamen Rider fans to view the franchise in full official detail.

Kamen Rider will be added to Toei Tokusatsu World beginning January 16, 2021!

A new challenger has appeared in the world of Kamen Rider Saber and our latest round of Magazine scans showcases a brand new Rider that will be entering the fray: say hello to Saikou, the Swordsman of Light!

The main gimmick with Kamen Rider Saikou is that the sword itself is sentient. The suit is just a shadow, conjured up for the purposes of wielding the sword itself while in battle but can be wielded by other Riders as demonstrated by Saber in the magazine scans. Further details pending, but we’ll be sure to notify you once any more updates become available.

Continually hunted by 4C, Haruka Mizusawa stumbles onto the darkest secret yet in the history of the Amazon Cells. In a quiet mountain village children are cared for until they can find new homes. At least, that’s the cover story. In reality this is a farm for growing meat. Young Amazons are grown and sold to wealthy humans as livestock, eaten as a delicacy. Darker still, these children are bred from the blood of Jin Takayama, miraculously still alive. This horrific new iteration of the Sigma Project brings Amazon Alpha & Amazon Omega together for their final climactic battle. The Final Judgement is here.

It’s been a long time coming for me to review this set. Having collected every other release from Kamen Rider Amazons, I simply couldn’t pass up on this one any longer. Based on the Amazons film The Last Judgement, this set recreates Kamen Rider’s Amazon Alpha & Amazon Omega in their final blood splattered appearances. Remolded and repainted with copious battle damage, these two look live they’ve been through hell, and they really have. While they may seem like superfluous releases to many, they’re absolutely necessary to me. Toei has announced two new Kamen Rider projects for the Japanese streaming services TELASA & Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club– featuring the King of Time Kamen Rider Zi-O and the Destroyer of Worlds, Kamen Rider Decade!

The new specials are officially titled-
*Rider Time- Kamen Rider Zi-O VS Kamen Rider Decade: The Seven Zi-Os
*Rider Time- Kamen Rider Decade VS Kamen Rider Zi-O: The Decade House Death Game

Actors So Okuno and Masahiro Inoue will reprise their iconic roles of Kamen Rider Zi-O & Kamen Rider Decade respectively. Legendary tokusatsu writer Toshiki Inoue will develop the script while Kamen Rider veteran Satoshi Morota will serve as director.

Both new Rider Time specials are scheduled for release on February 9 2021.
