It’s that time of the month again! time for the Tamashii Nations Akiba Showroom to change out display for upcoming figures! On display right now are several recent reveals, these are the first actual non-official images we’ve seen for most of them as well.

Additional scans of the up coming Heisei VS Showa Kamen Rider movie have surfaced. The new images reveals the villain for the film...Kamen Rider Fifteen! While Fifteen is a Gaim Rider, the interesting thing is that his Lock Seed doesn’t seem to be based on any kind of fruit but instead resembling a skeleton.

Other scans have revealed new Decade Arms for Gaim and a Fourze Arms for Fifteen based on whom seems to be holding a weapon based on the Barizun Sword of Cosmic States.

Additionally, the scan finally reveals some details about the Super Sentai portion of the movie, show casing that Tokkyuger and Kyoryuger will be making an appearance

Another unfortunate passing for the tokusatsu community today. Ichiro Nagai, at age 82, has passed away. Currently his cause of death is unknown as police investigate. Possibly best known to tokusatsu fans for his role as GekiJyuKen Master ShaFu in Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger, Mr. Nagai had many notable anime voice acting credits through out his career. His toku roles included:

  • Basebal Mask (Himitsu Sentai Goranger)
  • Devil Batter (J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai)
  • Master ShaFu (Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger)
  • Narrator (Kamen Rider G)

Ichiro Nagai will be truly missed by many. On behalf of all TokuNation staff and members we’d like to give our condolences to Mr. Nagai’s family.

This weekend we got our first looks at the supporting cast of the 38th Super Sentai Series. And now thanks to some updated news reports we have some more details about the faces & voices behind these new cast members!

*The ToQGers’ team mentor Shashou is played by Sekine Tsutomu, a well-known comedic performer.

*His assistant, Ticket, is voiced by Yamaguchi Kappei a long-time anime veteran with an extensive voiceover resume, perhaps best known as the voice of “Ranma” in the iconic anime Ranma 1/2.

*Their robot helper, Wagon, will be voiced by Horie Yui another veteran voice actor & also a well-known singer. We may be in for some musical performances during ToQGer!

Finally, the villains voices were also announced by Japanese news outlets. Again, all four are long-time veterans:

*Nero Danshaku- performed by Fukuyama Jun (Lelouch Lamperouge of Code Geass)

* Noir Fujin- voiced by Hisakawa Aya (original anime voice of Sailor Mercury)

*Scwarz Shogun- voiced by Jou Haruhiko(Mastermind in X-Men Animeverse)

*Gritta Jou- voiced by Hidaka Noriko (Belle-Mère from One Piece)

No doubt an impressive staff that should give us some very entertaining performances this year!

More information about the 38th Super Sentai Series is slowly but surely rolling down the tracks!

In this latest round of magazine scans we learn that the ToQGers are actually childhood friends & have been together for many years. They fight to regain lost memories (though that particular story element has not been explained in full detail).

The ToQGers are guided by the mysterious “Shashou” (literally Conductor) who speaks to the team through his hand puppet, a monkey named “Ticket.” In addition the ToQGers receive help from a robotic character called “Wagon” who serves food & drink on their train voyages.

Ressha Sentai ToQGer is set to premiere February 16, 2014 so stay tuned to TokuNation as we keep you up to date with all new details!

When the 38th Super Sentai, Ressha Sentai Toqger, premieres we’ll be following the adventures of 5 heroes who protect the Rainbow Line from the recently revealed members of the Shadow Line! 

The image we have here shows us what appears to be 4 aristocratic commanders/generals in the Shadow Line organization, yet another evil underground empire. From left to right we have General Schwartz, Baron Nero, Madame Noa & Miss Greeta.

With the Ressha Sentai Toqger official unveiling press conference happening right now, you can expect plenty more images & information in the next couple of days. All aboard!

Toei’s official press conference for the 38th Super Sentai Series takes place this weekend in Japan, so we should have lots of new details about Ressha Sentai ToQGer very soon!

To kick things off on the right track, some minor music samples have been released for the series. This is our first chance to hear the introduction theme and ending theme for ToQGer so tune in and check them out!

History’s strongest braves are back! Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger’s V Cinema special has been announced as Kyoryuger 100 Years After!

The Blueray/DVD will be released on June 20th 2014 and the main cast will be returning  for this one. The DVD/Blu Ray will come with a special program book and Zyudenchi.

As the name suggests, the story will take place far into the future. Interestingly, the uniforms suggest that this new team will consist of Deathryuger, Kyoryuviolet, Cyan, Grey, Blue, and Silver. But whether or not these will be direct decedents or entirely new characters isn’t really known at the time. There’s no trailer as of yet, but you can watch the video officially announcing the project in the box below:
