Our long awaited cast reveal for the much-anticipated Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger is finally here! Thanks to a press conference which was held in Japan earlier today, the 43rd Super Sentai will comprise of:

  • Kou, RyusoulRed played by actor Hayate Ichinose.
    Towa RyusoulGreen played by actor Yuito Obara
  • Banba, RyusoulBlack played by actor Tatsuya Kishida and is the oldest of the group.
  • Asuna, RyusoulPink portrayed by actress Ichika Osaki
  • And last but not least, Melt Ryusoul Blue portrayed by Keito Tsuna.

Tyamigo, the dinosaur partner of Ryusoul Red will be voiced by Masaki Terasoma whose past roles include Kintaros from Kamen Rider Den -O and Shadow Moon of Kamen Rider Black fame.

To coincide with this, a second trailer for the show went live giving us a glimpse at the team’s personalities through roll call. While there isn’t a Youtube link at the time of this writing, you can view that trailer by making the jump here

The end of an era has arrived for Super Sentai.

Long-time suit actor Hideaki Kusaka has announced that this weekends’ finale of Kaitou Sentai LupinRanger VS Keisatsu Sentai PatRanger will be his final performance in tokusatsu.

Kusaka has been a mainstay in Super Sentai since 1980’s Denshi Sentai Denziman and has been the performer inside virtually all major Super Sentai Mecha costumes- he is currently portraying both LupinKaiser & PatKaiser in LupinRanger VS PatRanger.

In addition, Kusaka has been the performer for several Super Sentai heroes- including DekaMaster from DekaRanger and Shou Ronpo in KyuRanger.

Another new image has surfaced online for the 43rd Super Sentai Series, Kishiryu Sentai RyuSoulger!

This is our first proper look at the members of the series’ villains- the Druidon Tribe! According to the early story details, these monsters attacked Earth during the time of dinosaurs but fought against the KishiRyu and the Knights, finally fleeing before the great extinction. But now in modern times they have returned to finish what they started!

*The heavily-armored general is named Tankjou and he commands the series’ foot soldiers- known as Dorun Soldiers.

*The smaller green general is known as Creon and has the power to create monsters (known in-series as Mynasaurs to battle the RyuSoulgers.

Keep in mind, official English spellings for these names have not been confirmed at time of writing.

Some official images have been released for the first merchandise for the upcoming Super Sentai series, Kishiryu Sentai RyuSoulger!

This is our best look yet at the series’ Mecha, KishiRyuOh! This Mecha starts off as Ryusoul Red’s personal KishiRyu partner, Tyramigo. Thanks to the power of a unique RyuSoul (the mysterious devices that power the RyuSoulgers, resembling dinosaur heads that transform into knights), Tyramigo is able to transform into the gigantic robotic knight KishiRyuOh! This DX release will include a special Red RyuSoul for collectors.

As will all Super Sentai Mecha, true strength comes from combination! Uniting with the other KishiRyu creates brand new forms for KishiRyuOh. By combining with Ryusoul Pink’s Ankylose and Ryusoul Blue’s TriKen they create the all-powerful KishiRyuOh Three Knights!

The DX KishiRyu can be purchased in a set for all Three Knights (priced at 7800 Yen) or separately (which would cost 2600 Yen apiece for Blue & Pink; 5200 Yen for Red). All are currently scheduled for release in March 2019!

The first proper round of magazine scans for the 43rd Super Sentai Series has finally been released, giving us the best look yet at Kishiryu Sentai RyuSoulger!

For the first time we have learned some information about the Ryusoulgers themselves! The heroes are known as Knights in-universe and each one has been given a brief character bio:

*Ryusoul Red is The Brave Knight and is described as “a hot-blooded Leader.”
*Ryusoul Blue is The Wise Knight who thinks twice before making a single move.
*Ryusoul Pink is The Robust Knight and the strongest member of the team.
*Ryusoul Green is The Gale Knight who uses speedy attacks to win battles.
*Ryusoul Black is The Majestic Knight referred to as having splendid techniques.

But the most remarkable member of the RyuSoulger team is Tyramigo, Ryusoul Red’s personal Kishiryu partner. Tyramigo’s power is unlocked when he transforms into the Giant Mecha Knight, KishiRyuOh! Tyramigo gains extra powers from the other Kishiryus shown combining with Ryusoul Blue’s TriKen and Ryusoul Pink’s Ankylose to form KishiRyuOh Three Knights!

While the RyuSoulgers can use RyuSouls to power their weapons and attacks, they will confront enemies using a corrupted form of this ability called MinuSouls. In these scans, the RyuSoulgers are shown fighting off a squadron of enemy soldiers- known as the Dorun.

The RyuSoulgers are scheduled to make their first appearance in the Super Sentai Strongest Battle event, and the series itself is currently scheduled to begin on March 17 2019! Stay tuned to TokuNation as we keep you up to date on all RyuSoulger reveals!

A new face has been revealed for the upcoming Super Sentai series Kishiryu Sentai RyuSoulger!

This is the mysterious purple Knight first glimpsed in a preview for the crossover event Super Sentai: Strongest Battle.

The character in question is known as Gaizorg (official spelling may vary). At the moment the story of this new character remains unknown at time of writing- they may be a fellow hero to the RyoSoulgers, an antagonist who uses similar powers, or something entirely unknown.

The face behind the armor remains a mystery as well, but Gaizorg will be voiced by tokusatsu alumni Tomokazu Seki (perhaps best known as the voice of the Mobirates in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger.)

The new returning heroes include:

The latest entries in the fan-favorite Super Minipla collector series have been revealed in full!

First up is the main Mecha from 1991’s Super Sentai series Chojin Sentai Jetman! The Celestial Fusion Jet Icarus is recreated in exquisite detail- with all five Jet Machines able to combine into either Jet Icarus or the attack craft Icarus Hawken. All of Jet Icarus’ weapons will be included with this release- the Birdonic Sabre, Wing Shield, Icarus Axe, Icarus Crusher, & Icarus Magna!

Not to be outdone, the second Jetman Mecha will also be included in Super Minipla. This is our first look at the Minipla Jet Garuda! The powerful craft is able to switch from Bird Garuda airship mode to Jet Garuda Robot Mode. In addition, the Garuda can combine with Jet Icarus in two forms- first in vehicle mode to create the Hyper Hawken or in Robot Mode to create the Great Icarus!

While price & release dates have not been confirmed at time of writing, it appears that the Jet Icarus is a standard retail release while Jet Garuda is a Premium Bandai item.

Toei has released the first preview for the upcoming Super Sentai crossover special, the Super Sentai Strongest Battle!

This four-week special will feature a number of Super Sentai heroes assembled for a tournament on a faraway planet, to determine the strongest hero in the universe.

Of particular note, this preview features the first appearance of the 43rd Super Sentai Series- Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger!

A very strange figure can be spotted fighting the Ryusoulger team- a knight, in purple armor, wielding the same RyuSoulKen sword weapon used by the rest of this team. Could this be our first hint at the SIXTH member of the Ryusoulger team? Or perhaps the signature opponent of the legendary Knights? Only time will tell!
