The first official scans from the upcoming 43rd Super Sentai series have been posted online! This is our best look yet at Kishiryu Sentai Ryusouger!

The Ryusougers are described as legendary Knights who fight using the power of the dinosaur- the strongest creatures on Earth! Each Ryusouger has a partner dinosaur- a KishiRyu. Through special devices known as RyuSouls (which resemble dinosaur heads but also transform into smaller figures resembling medieval knights) the Ryusougers can activate new weapons, armor and abilities.

Some brief character details are included with these new scans:

*Ryuso Red is the mightiest warrior who possesses the strongest KishiRyu- his Tyrannosaurus, nicknamed Tyramigo.
*Ryuso Pink has remarkable senses and can see through situations with ease.
*Ryuso Blue is the most intelligent member of the team, a dedicated swordsman.
*Ryuso Green is the youngest teammate, a speedy fighter who hates to lose.
*Ryuso Black is the teams’ heavy-hitter, who does all he can to protect the others.

Kishiryu Sentai Ryusouger will officially begin on March 17 2019 at the conclusion of the Super Sentai Strongest Battle tournament! Stay tuned to TokuNation between now & then as we keep you up to date on this remarkable new series!

The Super Sentai franchise is taking an unusual turn!

Following the conclusion of the current series Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger a special commemorative series known as the Super Sentai Strongest Battle will air in the normal timeslot, featuring 160 Sentai heroes facing off in a unique tournament to determine the strongest warrior in all of Super Sentai!

The tournament will be arranged into 35 teams with 5 members each. And a number of familiar faces will be returning for the featured team:


*Zyuoh Eagle/Yamato
*Gokai Red/Captain Marvelous
*Akaninger/Takaharu
*Sasori Orange/Stinger
*Toq 5/Kagura

And perhaps more Super Sentai veterans will drop in for the occasion!

NINPUU, SHINOBI CHANGE!

Our friends at Shout! Factory’s confirmed the next Super Sentai series that will be released in North America. Following Hyakujuu Sentai GaoRanger, it will be of course Ninpuu Sentai Hurricanger. The official pre-order page on Shout’s website confirms that the DVD set will be released March 26th 2019 to North America and Canada retailing for 59.97 USD.

Ninpuu Sentai Hurricanger first aired in 2002 in it, a trio of ninja pupil become the legendary Hurricanger to fight off the Jakanja. Footage from the show was used as the basis for Power Rangers Ninja Storm and the series was later followed by Hurricanger 10 Years After to commemorate the show’s 10th anniversary.

For those of us that are just tuning in and missed the big announcement: Kishiryu Sentai Ryusouger was announced  as the 43rd Super Sentai series proceeding the currently airing Kaitou Sentai LupinRanger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger. Clearer versions of the initial toy catalog scans have been trickling out since then, and thanks to some new pages that have been uncovered we have some new details regarding this forthcoming series.

It’s been rumored for quite some time now that Super Sentai will be going on a bit of a break in February, that rumored break is now confirmed via these new scans. Kishiryu Sentai Ryusouger won’t be airing till March until then Toei will be releasing historical Super Sentai videos throughout February on YouTube. Rumour has it that Captain Marvelous/Ryota Ozawa of Gokaiger will be hosting hese videos, though nothing official has been confirmed regarding these videos, so please do take this with a grain of salt. 

In addition to that, clearer scans of both the roleplay toys and mecha were also released. The scan shows us a glimpse at how Ryusouger will transform and it seems like the team will perform some sort of dance before initiating the change, an element very reminiscent of Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger.

New details are emerging about the 43rd Super Sentai series, Kishiryu Sentai Ryusouger!

An official logo has been released for the series, giving us the best look yet at the new suits and the full appearance of the main Mecha, Kishi RyuOh.

In addition, some extra information about the series’ collectible gimmick- the RyuSouls has been revealed. The Souls are small figures resembling dinosaur heads that can transform into medieval-knight styled figures. Each Soul unlocks a different power for the Ryusougers-along with special armor forms.

A brief story outline for the new series is also available:

“Before… There were knights who fought their archenemy ‘Druidon” using the powers of ancient dinosaurs. They were called Ryusouger. They rode their partner dinosaurs, the Kishiryu, and the days of their fierce fight using the Ryusouls that house their souls unraveled.
Now, in a peaceful world, the tremendous power of the Kishiryu has been sleeping, sealed away, but Druidon’s return draws near and the time to awaken is close… Now the curtain of a never before seen Super Sentai is cut down!”

No release date has been confirmed at time of writing but if Super Sentai patterns hold, we can expect to see Kishiryu Sentai Ryusouger in late January/early February 2019! Stay tuned to TokuNation as we keep you up to date on this remarkable new series!

At long last we have the first images of the 43rd Super Sentai team- Kishiryu Sentai Ryusouger!

Digging back into the Toei well, this series appears to be DINOSAUR themed!

*This new team will consist of five members- Red T-Rex, Blue Triceratops, Pink Ankylosaurus Green Sabertooth, & Black Stegosaurus. Each Ranger is referred to as a “Knight” in the listings.

*The Ryusougers’ powers come from Ryu Souls– miniature device resembling dinosaur heads that transform into knights & can fit into their henshin device (the Ryusou Changer! This device activates with the phrase “RyuSou Cool!” Extra Ryu Souls are stored in the Ryu Soul Buckle.

*Each Ranger is armed with the Ryu SouKen– a Gun/Sword sidearm.

*The teams’ main Mecha will be Red’s T-Rex- which has a unique form, KishiRyuOh! Other Ryusougers can form weapons & armor for KishiRyuOh- when the first three Knights come together, a combination known as KishiRyuOh Three Knights! Additional combos are shown based on the other Knights- KishiRyuOh TigerLance and KishiRyuOh MiNeedle!

At long last, Toei has revived the Super Sentai crossover special!

Current Super Sentai double-bill Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger will be teaming up with the previous Sentai team, Uchu Sentai KyuRanger! All 12 members of the KyuRanger team are returning for this V-Cinext special film- which means a total of NINETEEN Super Sentai heroes will be fighting together!

A brief story outline has been revealed, along with a short teaser. The adventure will begin when the PatRangers are assigned to investigate the sudden disappearance of the LupinRangers- and then encounter the KyuRangers along the way.

LupinRanger VS PatRanger VS KyuRanger is currently scheduled for release on August 21 2019!

The upcoming release of the Super Sentai Artisan Degitaizer and Battleraizer from Denji Sentai Megaranger, better known as Power Rangers In Space for those of us who grew up with the Power Rangers, was originally scheduled to release in December of 2018. Unfortunately, due to what Bandai is calling a “production delay”, the item has been delayed with no current timetable for release.

It should be noted that the previous Super Sentai Artisan releases – specifically the SP License from Dekaranger and before that the Aura Changer from Dairanger – have suffered from quality control issues resulting in entire production run replacements.

The Super Sentai Artisan Degitaizer and Battleraizer had recently had payment requests go out. This is the first time an item this close to release has been delayed.

An epic Super Sentai team-up is in the works!

A new photograph taken behind-the-scenes during filming of Kaitou Sentai LupinRanger VS Keisatsu Sentai PatRanger features two other Sentai heroes- Chameleon Green & Kouguma SkyBlue of the Uchu Sentai KyuRanger!

At the moment it is not yet known if the KyuRangers will be making a quick cameo in the current Super Sentai series or if a full movie will be released in the future- although the latter is the more likely option based on past Sentai history.
