Ultra Seven: S.H. Figuarts Alien Metron Gallery

Posted on August 22, 2017 at 12:49 pm by Den-O under TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights, Ultraman

The golden age of poseable Kaiju figures is upon us! Ever since Tamashii Nations made the line transition for Ultraman figures Ultra-Act to S.H. Figuarts the biggest benefactors of that have been Kaiju. Long forgotten in the Ultra-Act line, we now have some really great functional figure alternatives to Bandai’s long line of Ultra Kaiju vinyls. In the spirit of the lines success it’s time to look at an often forgotten Kaiju from Ultra Seven with S.H. Figuarts Alien Metron!

Do you like deadly sci-fi cigarettes? Interested in squid like alien monsters? Well then, Bandai’s got you covered on both counts with Alien Metron. This iconic Kaiju faced off against Ultra Seven in the 8th episode of his own series culminating in the classic table scene with the one and only Dan Moroboshi! This figuart of Metron is probably my favorite of the Kaiju released so far. A figure with tons of personality and display options, Alien Metron will be a great addition to any Ultraman collection.

We’ve attached the full 40 image gallery to this post, but you can check out the full review thread as well by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. We’ll be back next time with a Kamen Rider Amazons gallery of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Amazon Sigma!

S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Geed On the Way?

Posted on August 10, 2017 at 4:03 pm by Kiryu under Ultraman

If you’ve been enjoying Ultraman Geed and are itching for some S.H.Figuarts, we got some good news for you.

With the recent release of the S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Orb figures, it’s manual does mention something about an S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Geed Primitive Form currently being in development.

Of course, with no actual prototype, there’s no way for us to confirm or deny this. For now, take this with a grain of salt and we’ll provide more info as it becomes available.

Tamashii Nations Shanghai: S.H.Figuarts Juggulus Juggler and More Revealed

Posted on July 6, 2017 at 12:48 am by Kiryu under Ultraman

FUSION UP!

Tamashii Nations World Tour makes its next stop in Shanghai China,  and a plethora of new S.H.Figuarts releases from Ultraman Orb have been revealed at the event, with photos courtesy of users from Weibo.

Kicking us off, we have S.H.Figuarts Juggulus Juggler and Spacium Zeprion being the only two that have a confirmed price and release date: Juggulus Juggler will retail for 6500 yen slated to come out in January 2018, while Spacium Zeperion will come out in December for 5500 yen. It is unclear whether or not the pair will be mass retail release, or some exclusive to some site or storefront.

In addition, Ultraman Orb’s other forms: Burnmite, Hurricane Slash, and Thunder Breaster were also on display but with display only labels, so it is unclear if those three will ever see release to the public.

S.H. Figuarts Drive Type Special & Dada Release Details

Posted on June 21, 2017 at 1:30 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, Ultraman

We’ve seen both on display recently at the Tamashii Nations Akiba showroom as well as the Tamashii Nations World Tour. Now both of these new figures are slated for actual release! Thanks to a handful of new magazine scans we can confirm both.

S.H. Figuarts kamen Rider Drive Type Special, Drives unique movie from from Surprise Future, is set for release in November. Type Special will be a Tamashii Web Exclusive and retail for 6264 yen.

S.H. Figuarts Dada or as he was originally known Agent #271, is an infamously weird villain from the original Ultraman TV series. While not as prolific as Baltan this Kaiju is definitely looking good as Bandai continues their productive line of Kaiju figuarts. Dada will be released in November for 7344 yen.

Kaiju Survival Game City Shrouded in Shadow Famitsu Update

Posted on May 30, 2017 at 5:45 pm by Kiryu under Godzilla, Ultraman

Last year, Bandai Namco Games announced City Shrouded in Shadow: a  game where you survive a giant monster attack was in development and we’ve finally been given an update thanks to Famitsu magazine with translation courtesy of Silconera.

City Shrouded in Shadow will feature characters from Ultraman, Godzilla, and Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise and while we won’t see them crossover the game will generate scenarios based on one of those series each will be generated one stage at a time. Here’s a list of who we know will be in the game thus far:

Giant Shadow 1

Ultraman
NisUltraman
Alien Zarab
Giant Shadow 2
Godzilla
King Ghidorah

Giant Shadow 3
Evangelion Unit-01
The Fourth Angel

Giant Shadow 4
Gamera
Soldier Legion

Players will be able to choose between a male or female protagonist everything from clothes, hairstyle, and even job title can be changed.  The game will also have multiple dialogue choices, some of which can affect your relationship with your significant other.

While no solid release date was given as of yet, we do know that the game is currently 75% completed and will come out Fall 2017 in Japan for PS4 and PS3 consoles The Vita version has sadly been reported as canceled.

S.H. Figuarts Dan Moroboshi (Ultra Seven’s human form) Revealed

Posted on May 22, 2017 at 5:41 pm by Den-O under Ultraman

In a surprising bit of news this month’s Figure Oh scans have revealed a previously unknown figuart from the Ultraman franchise. None other than S.H. Figuarts Dan Moroboshi!

The human form of Ultra Seven, Dan is looking pretty magnificent in figure form. Recreated here in his signature Ultra Garrison uniform, Dan is looking pretty sharp. He includes an alternate helmetless head, the Ultra Eye transformation device, and the Ultra Gun, as well as presumably several sets of hands.  Dan is set for an October release, seemingly at retail, for 6264 yen.

We’ll update this story as more information becomes available. The biggest question raised by this surprise reveal though, what does this mean for the prototypes of Retsu Ichijouji (Gavan) & Takeshi Hongo (Rider 1) that we’ve seen previously? Let’s hope it’s something good.
