Just displayed late last week at Wonderfest 2016, the Tamashii Web Shop has just updated with official info and images for Ultra-Act X S.H. Figuarts Ultra Seven!

Looking every bit as good as the displayed prototype, Ultra Seven (Ultraman Suit Ver 7.2) includes 2 sets of hands, his Specium Sword & sheath, and his Eye Slugger. Ultra Seven has also been confirmed for release as a Tamashii Web Exclusive releasing in August for 6480 yen.

While Winter Wonderfest doesn’t always yield a ton of new toku reveals we have our first so far for the show. Just teased earlier in the week and now on display is Ultra-Act X S.H. Figuarts Manga Ultra Seven!

Ultra Seven AKA Ultraman ver 7.2, is set for release as a Tamashii Web Exclusive for August & will retail for 6480 yen. Though currently the total breakdown of his accessories is unknown, Seven will at least include his signature Specium Sword & scabbard.

Courtesy of @T_features, the official Bandai Collector’s Division twitter account we’ve just gotten word that an Ultra-Act X S.H.Figuarts Ultraseven based on the armour design from the Manga is currently in the works.

There’s no word yet as to when he’ll be released or for how much, though supposedly a prototype will be display at the upcoming Winter Wonder Festival event. Stay tuned and we’ll bring you more information as it’s made avalaible.

Just over 1 month ago TokuNation began the countdown to January 4th 2016, which marked our official 4 year anniversary!  And as with every year to honor our anniversary, we hosted the massive Toku Toy Box giveaway! 2015 is officially coming to a close tonight for those of us in the US, and for many of our users around the world 2016 has already dawned! But before we can ring in the new year we wanted to find out what YOU thought about the toy releases of this past year. What were your Top Toku Toys of 2015?

Some of the staff got together recently to share their thoughts on what exactly the top toku toys of this year were. Our answers ranged from the inexpensive and fun 66Action figures, to S.H. Figuarts like Drive & Mach, all the way up the other end of the spectrum with S.H. Figuarts Tridoron!

Once again we’ve come upon the time of year we love most. Time for the members and staff of TokuNation.com to celebrate their respective holidays with their loved ones. This has been one great show this year! However the absence of Super Sentai figuarts & the smaller presence of Metal Heroes & other offbeat toku heroes is noticeable. The first day of the show has wound down but Tamashii Nations 2015 will go on through this weekend. We’ve had a ton of reveals up to this point but a LOT more are apparently on the way as more sections of the show are made available to the general public. A portion of the rumored figures list comes from The Ghouly News, but still take it with a bit of salt as we can’t confirm some of these figures yet. A sad bit of news to report today. Noriyoshi Ohrai, who has contributed countless pieces of amazing pop culture art work to the tokusatsu fandom and various others through out his career, passed away today. He was 79.

Though his name may not be immediately recognizable to many, you’ve undoubtedbly encountered the work of Noriyoshi Ohrai in various forms. Whether it be his renditions of the original Star Wars Trilogy theatrical posters, his Metal Gear Solid illustrations, or the eight separate Godzilla film posters he did from 1980 onward. You have encountered the legacy of this legendary artist in one form or another.

We’ve attached a small selection of his various works to this story but we encourage you to head on over to the Noriyoshi Ohrai Exhibition Facebook page to see a multitude of his various works. Please take a moment to enjoy his amazing contributions as we remember him and appreciate the work that has touched so many of the fandoms that we’re all part of.
