NOTE – We have left out any spoilers for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 25. Our spoiler review will happen at 12:00am EST on Wednesday, March 28th. We will mark the title with spoilers. The rest of our coverage for the Power Rangers Shattered Grid panel from WonderCon 2018 is below.

At WonderCon 2018 BOOM! Studios held a special panel for the Power Rangers Shattered Grid event which officially kicked off in Go Go Power Rangers 08 this past week, and continues THIS week with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 25. During the panel, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comic writer Kyle Higgins selected one lucky fan to read the issue first. It was simply a ploy – every member in attendance received an early copy of an exclusive cover, specifically for this panel, to read DURING the panel. There are now a large number of fans who know what happens in the comic and most of them have exclaimed the same reaction – BUY THIS ISSUE and YOU ARE NOT READY FOR THIS ISSUE.

Here are some spoiler-y tidbits of information from the panel. Go Go Power Rangers 08 spoilers included without spoiler tag – we do not believe something that’s already released is a spoiler at this point.

– The Ranger Slayer, who premiered in Go Go Power Rangers Issue 08, is indeed the Lord Drakkon universe Kimberly Hart, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Pink Ranger
– – She wields the Bow of Darkness
– The Gravezord is officially named in this design image, made up of various pieces of the fallen Power Rangers from Lord Drakkon‘s universe
– Due to a huge, spoiler event in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 25, the final cover for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 26 has not been fully revealed

“Appear Daizyujin!”

We know this one’s been out for a while, but when you’re dealing with something this incredible, it takes a bit of time to do the job right. So we’ve taken our time and shot an in depth gallery of nearly 200 images, with a full length 7 part review of this fantastic release. It’s well past time we share with you our in depth look at the Soul of Chogokin SOC GX-76 Daizyujin! Of course for the western collectors out there this is none other than the MMPR Megazord!

Daizyujin is that most iconic of Sentai mecha to those of us in the west. It’s gone through various toylines, updates, and revisions over the years, and finally Tamashii Nations has tackled it with an entry in their long line of SOC’s. This figure sat out to recreate the iconic designs of the 5 Guardian Beasts and their two combined forms using modern engineering. The results are near flawless. We have a die-cast laden, poseable, proportionate, and imposing figure to add to our collections. Special note, our review piece today (provided by the infinitely generous TokuChris) features the western Bluefin distribution exclusive packaging. Consisting of new MMPR themed box art.

We’ve attached the MASSIVE 195 image gallery of SOC Daizyujin to this post. But you can also read our lengthy review of this set by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. This gallery & review were a labor of love for me. And if you’re a fan of Zyuranger or MMPR, I hope it does the job of making you want this set.

As Power Rangers: Shattered Grid draws ever closer, the anticipation for Boom! Studios’ forthcoming comic book event grows higher and higher and thanks to IGN, we have a number of new covers and concept art pieces to tease what the story has in store for fans.

First up are the latest sentries to join the evil Lord Drakkon’s growing army – the Zeo and Samurai Sentries! Much like the previously seen sentries these soldiers have augmented versions of preexisting ranger powers. The Green Zeo Sentry is equipped with a mech suit that can use a variety of weapons, whilst the Blue Samurai Sentry sports a more armoured version of the costume together with twin arm blades and red eyes glowing through their visor.

The third piece of concept art for the event is of a new villain from Drakkon’s timeline – Finster Five. Go Go Power Rangers writer Ryan Parrott pitched the character as a version of a cyborg version of Rita’s chief monster maker that has been augmented using parts from Alpha 5.

Rounding off the images are the covers for Power Rangers #27 and Go Go Power Rangers #9, each of which show off some new faces to the Power Rangers comic universe. Power Rangers #27 shows the Mighty Morphin Red Ranger protecting RPM’s Dr K from Grinders alongside the female Red Samurai Rangers, while Go Go Power Rangers #9 has an even bigger surprise in store. This issue is set to debut a brand new Power Ranger, who writers Ryan Parrot and Kyle Higgins tease is a “new ranger with a familiar face”.

Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Power Rangers franchise, Power Rangers: Shattered Grid kicks off in issue #25 of the main Power Rangers comic, which will be released on March 21st. Great news for you Legacy Mighty Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Flip Head Figures collectors! The assortment has been released at Target stores. Found by Jaime M on the Power Rangers Buyers Sellers Traders group on Facebook and shared with us via @BigMike8109, we can report that this assortment does include the Mighty Morphin Pink Ranger.

These figures were originally found at Game Stop stores and did not include the Mighty Morphin Pink Ranger. The case assortment at Target is as follows:

4x Mighty Morphin Red Ranger
1x Mighty Morphin Green Ranger
1x Mighty Morpin Pink Ranger

This is the third different case assortment as Game Stop contains 3x Red and 3x Green, while Entertainment Earth has a pre-order available for 4x Green Ranger, 1x Red Ranger, and 1x Pink Ranger. It would appear that the Mighty Morpin Pink Ranger will be the hardest figure in this assortment to find. Happy hunting!

For those of you interested in a little bit of nostalgia the Power Rangers Legacy Fliphead figures have been released at GameStop. Found at a GameStop in Texas by Mike of the Facebook group Power Rangers Traders, Buyers, and Sellers, he was able to purchase both the Red Ranger and Green Ranger figures.

The GameStop location he visited had two brand new cases and not a single Pink Ranger fliphead figure was included in the initial shipment. It would appear, much like other Late Fall assortments of Power Rangers toys, there isn’t a female to be found in the initial shipments.

If you’re interested in picking up these figures be sure to check your local GameStop!
