Our coverage of Toy Fair 2018 continues with a look at the offerings for Imaginext Power Rangers. Unfortunately there was not much to be seen from the folks at Imaginext. On display was a brand new repaint of the Megazord playset in a new color scheme – black and red – with no release information available. Shown with it was a Mighty Morphin Red Ranger with black highlights and a repainted Rita Repulsa figure in purple and blue. Two power coins and a purely red staff accompanied as accessories.

What is the future of Imaginext Power Rangers with the master toy license going to Hasbro? We’re not quite sure. Hasbro has it’s own preschool aged faction of toys under the PlaySkool banner. We’ll update you with any further information regarding the future of Imaginext Power Rangers.

Thanks to @VintageJakksBCA on Twitter we have our first look at some new Fisher Price Power Rangers Imaginext toys revealed through listings at WalMart.com. The full listings of what was discovered is listed below.

Well we certainly do! And it would seem that Mattel does as well! The inaugural releases in the company’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Imaginext line have begun to hit retail in recent weeks and we’ve gotten our hands on one such set for gallery & review. Imaginext Goldar & Rita Repulsa!

This set takes the mighty Sorceress Rita Repulsa and shrinks her down while taking her most famous general and making that monster grow! Goldar is a simplistic but large and imposing toy. Featuring the pattented Imaginext Power Pad gimmick, Goldar can unleash his mighty wings or swing his sword! While Rita can mount behind Goldar’s head with her Magical Staff. 

While aimed at children (ages 3-8) this set will undoubtedly appeal to adult collectors and fans of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers for it’s big play value. Though it slipped by during our coverage of New York Toy Fair, Fisher-Price had an impressive Migthy Morphin Power Rangers Imaginext Playset on display. And now thanks to Action Figure Insider we can share some information and images of this upcoming set!

A sizable toy, this Morphin Megazord playset looks to be an all-in-one adventure for children of all ages and includes Armored Red & Armored Black Ranger figures to helm the mighty robot. Additionally Fisher-Price revealed information about the functionality of the Megazord and the rest of their upcoming Mighty Morphin toyline for 2015!

  • Power Ranger Figure Pack Assortment: Add might to every Power Rangers battle with the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers figure packs.
