Power Rangers Super Megaforce Mystic Dragon Zord Gallery

Posted on December 29, 2013 at 1:06 am by Den-O under Power Rangers

And we’re back with another gallery from Bandai of America’s Power Rangers Super Megaforce toy line!

Todays offering is the Mystic Dragon Zord, a tribute to Power Rangers Mystic Force. The basis for this figure is the DX Gokai Machine Magi Dragon[/URL] from Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, itself an homage to Mahou Sentai Magiranger. Check out both galleries to see the similarities and differences between these two figures,

The Mystic Dragon Zord and the other auxiliary zord builder compatible vehicles/sets have literally just begun to hit regular retail. So be sure to keep your eyes peeled for them in the coming weeks! The Mystic Dragon used for this gallery was purchased at a local Walmart in Lexington KY.

Click “Discuss on the TokuNation Fourms”  to access our full image gallery of this figure.

Big Bad 6″ Blue Stinger Beetleborg Gallery by conundrum

Posted on December 28, 2013 at 9:15 pm by Den-O under General Tokusatsu News, Metal Heroes

Photo & Content contributor conundrum is back yet again with a new gallery from Big Bad Beetleborgs! Today he takes a look at the 6″ Blue Stinger Beetleborg!

The figure is an import of the Blue Beet figure from Bandai of Japan’s Juukou B-Fighter toy line, released by Bandai of America in 1998.All in all, it is still a solid figure, even by today’s standards. The articulation for the most part is decent, but the fantastic metallic blue and chrome paint job the figure has more than makes up for it. The paint is a double-edged sword though as it is almost impossible to find a used Beetleborgs figure without any wear to the metallic paint or chrome.

No one knows if the B-Fighters/Beetleborgs will ever get the S.H. Figuarts treatment, but in the meantime, the figures from Bandai of America’s 6 inch line are an excellent placeholder in any collection.

Check out the full gallery by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” to see theentire gallery for this figure. And why not have a look at conundrum’s previous gallery of the 12″ Special Edition Blue Stinger Beetleborg as well to get your fix for the Big Bad Beetleborgs!

Power Rangers Super Megaforce Being Found at WalMart Stores

Posted on December 26, 2013 at 10:58 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

For those of you with disposable cash or gift cards from Christmas, great/sad news – Power Rangers Super Megaforce toys have been spotted around the country at WalMart stores! Our own uchihabro shared an image that he took at a local Walmart where he found the basic sized Super Mega Saber and Super Mega Blaster, along with the Battle Action figures released in the initial Toys’R’Us pallet.

Also, our friend @Morphin_K on Twitter found the first batch of auxiliary zords – the Red Zeo Racer, the Delta Runner Zord and the Magi Dragon Zord – at his local WalMart. It’s time to unlock the power and go buy some Super Megaforce toys!

Have you found new toys in your area? Let your fellow fans know by posting in our Sightings forum! The forum is listed by state in alphabetical order, making it easier for you to quickly browse the area you live in and to connect with other local fans as well as sharing pictures of what you found! In the past, at our sister site TFW2005.COM, the same system helped thousands of Transformers fans get hard to find figures and even set up local meet and greets that have been running for years and years now. Check it out!

Full List of Power Rangers Super Megaforce Keys from Key Scanner App

Posted on December 26, 2013 at 12:31 am by Chris under Power Rangers

As our faithful Power Rangers fans know by now – one of the features that come with the Power Rangers Super Megaforce Ranger Keys is a symbol to scan with your Key Scanner App, which then allows you to morph in to that Power Ranger as well as unlock an image or sound through the app. An update went out to the app (available on both Android and iPhones) on Christmas day and our very own raz checked out the installation file … and discovered the entire list of Ranger Keys currently installed on the app.

Rather than post every single Ranger Key that is included in the app, it’ll be easier to list the ones that do NOT have any type of listing in this file. That does NOT mean they aren’t getting a key … it just means the information isn’t in the file. But I will admit it doesn’t look promising … because just about every other Power Ranger is listed. So the following characters ARE NOT LISTED IN THE APPLICATION. This would lean one to assume that they are NOT receiving the Ranger Key treatment. But we cannot confirm that 100% at this time.

NOT GETTING A KEY?
– Auric the Conqueror (Power Rangers Zeo)
– Phantom Ranger (Power Rangers Turbo)
– Blue Senturion (Power Rangers Turbo but has art assets in the app)
– Magna Defender (Power Rangers Lost Galaxy but has art assets in the app)
– Kat Ranger (Power Rangers S.P.D.)
– Nova Ranger (Power Rangers S.P.D.)
– Sentinel Knight (Power Rangers Operation Overdrive)
– Shark Spirit Ranger (Power Rangers Jungle Fury)
– Elephant Spirit Ranger (Power Rangers Jungle Fury)
– Bat Spirit Ranger (Power Rangers Jungle Fury)

However, if you recall, our friend Fury Diamond ripped the entire art assets out of this application when it first released. If you browse through those images, you’ll see that both Blue Senturion as well as Magna Defender have art assets, but no artwork for an actual key asset. What does that mean? Hard to say. But it would appear that we are getting closer to saying that at least a solid majority of the names we listed above are NOT getting keys (Blue Senturion and Magna Defender looking to still be possible). On the plus side … Titanium Ranger looks to be getting a key!

Chime in with your thoughts in our on-going discussion. Big thanks to raz for the heads up!

Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog: Rohan, Knight of Fire Gallery by conundrum

Posted on December 24, 2013 at 1:18 am by Den-O under General Tokusatsu News

Did you know that 2013 actually marked the 15th anniversary of the very awesome Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog? Well Photo & Content contributor conundrum is certainly here to remind us with this gallery of the Mystic Knight of Fire, Rohan!

Mystic Knights was a rare breed of tokusatsu indeed. An American/Irish co-production created by Saban Entertainment based loosely on Irish myths and aimed at the same audience that watched such shows as Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers and Masked Rider. The show itself only lasted a single 50 episode season as it’s second season budget was instead allocated to Power Rangers Lost Galaxy. The show however is still special for many fans because of it’s unique take on the genre and the toyline itself is really pretty great and still affordable to collect even now.

Check out conundrum’s full selection of images by clicking this link or “Discuss on the TokuNation forums” at the bottom of this post! We’ll be bringing you at least a couple more Mystic Knights galleries this month, and next up will be the Mystic Knight of Air, Deirdre!

Legacy Dragon Dagger In Hand Images!

Posted on December 15, 2013 at 2:53 pm by DaiRiderRX under Conventions, Other Conventions, Power Rangers

At RoboToyFest in Pasadena, California some lucky folks were finally able to get some hands on experience with the Legacy Dragon Dagger! Here you can see some images of the completed box, a size comparison with the vintage Japanese dagger and a shot of a lucky fan weilding the dagger, finally showing us just how big this thing will be in hand.

Finally my friend Kim Chi Williams, the awesome person who took these images, took a video of the sound effects the dagger makes, which you can view by clicking this link:

New Info on Power Rangers Action Card Game Series 5 and Series 6

Posted on December 14, 2013 at 12:56 am by Chris under Power Rangers

A number of fans have been collecting the Power Rangers Action Card Game by Bandai Cards which feature nearly every single Power Ranger as well as various villains, Megazords, and special moments in the history of Power Rangers.  And thanks to our friend Fury Diamond at the Samurai Cast Blog, we have some new details about the soon-to-be-released Series 5 and our first details about Series 6!

The Series 5 cards will be released, tentatively, in February 2014.  The title and the first preview image will not be released until closer to the end of the month.  Be sure to watch the official Facebook page for the preview (and we will bring you the news here as well!).  Series 5 is the largest “Booster” set to date, with over 180 cards.  You will find some reprints of earlier series cards with new numbers, and this series boasts being able to unlock every single sound phrase in the Power Rangers Megaforce Gosei Morpher, which utilizes the cards.  This series of cards does NOT contain anything Super Megaforce related.

Series 6 has been teased as well – the acronym of the title is KoP and DOES feature Power Rangers Super Megaforce, but it is hinted that the word “Key” is not part of the acronym.  However the title is stated to be influenced by Super Megaforce.  Pretty snazzy!

Do you collect the Power Rangers Action Card Game cards?  What’s your favorite, or what card are you struggling to get a hold of?  Let us know!  Thanks again to Samurai Cast Blog, and a special thanks to Henshin Grid Blog for the super-awesome Zeo Gold Ranger card image for me to use in this story.

In Hand Images and Review of Super Megaforce Toys by Fury Diamond

Posted on December 10, 2013 at 11:21 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

Our good friend Fury Diamond of Samurai Cast Blog took some images and did some reviews on some of the other Power Rangers Super Megaforce toys and accessories that were made available online last week through Amazon.com.

Specifically, he received and did reviews for the Super Megaforce Cycles, which have the ability to combine with the Legendary Megazord, the Red and Green Super Megaforce Ranger Masks, and the Deluxe Super Mega Blaster.  We have mirrored a small number of images here with his permission, but we suggest you head on over to Samurai Cast Blog to see all the images and to check out his review of the products and whether or not they’re worth your time!

What do you think?  Are you going to pick up these items when they’re available in stores?  Let us know!
