Kamen Rider Black RX S.H. Figuarts Rideron Release Details

Posted on June 25, 2015 at 11:36 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

After a long wait magazine scans from Figure Oh have finally confirmed release details for S.H. Figuarts Rideron!

The first non-bike vehicle used by a rider, Rideron dates back to 1988’s Kamen Rider Black RX. We didn’t see another true car for a rider until the current Kamen Rider Drive began. And it’s the release of S.H. Figuarts Tridoron for Drive that’s finally made Rideron’s release possible!

And what’s the even better news you might ask? Rideron will be a retail release! Shockingly it is NOT a web exclusive! However as with Tridoron, S.H. Figuarts Rideron will be rather pricey at 19440 yen, and is scheduled for November release.

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Drive Type Formula Official Images

Posted on June 24, 2015 at 10:37 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Recently revealed at the Tamashii Nations Summer Collection event, and now up and open for order is S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Drive Type Formula!

Type Formula, Drive’s penultimate form, splits people pretty evenly. You either love it or hate. This figure looks to be doing much of the same. While it undoubtedly captures the look of Type Formula and even includes the signature Trailer Cannon weapon, you may be put off by the fact that ALL of the Shift Car “sponsor labels” must be manually applied. No paint applications just an included decal sheet.

Regardless of this odd choice S.H. Figuarts Drive Type Formula looks to be another solid release. It retails for 5940 yen and will be released in November!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Knuckle Official Images

Posted on June 23, 2015 at 9:30 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Revealed via a magazine scan mere days ago, Bandai of Japan has just thrown up an item page for S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Knuckle!

The second Kamen Rider of Team Baron from Kamen Rider Gaim, S.H. Figuarts Knuckle is presented here in glorious fashion. However it appears that Kamen Rider Knuckle will be fairly lite on the accessories. Including only one extra set of hands and his two Kurumi Bomber gauntlet weapons. so for the moment at least there doesn’t appear to be much else included with Knuckle.

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Knuckle will be released as a Tamashii Web Exclusive for 5184 yen in November. Orders open on June 25th!

S.H. Figuarts Ride Chaser & Midnight Shadow Effect Parts Gallery

Posted on June 22, 2015 at 10:38 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

The grim reaper, Mashin Chaser, is a force to be reckoned with in the world of Kamen Rider Drive. But even an evil mechanized life form needs a sweet ride. So today we’re taking a look at his vehicle of choice, the S.H. Figuarts Ride Chaser!

The Ride Chaser was the machine Chase used in his original Proto-Drive Identity and what he continues to use to this day even as the heroic Kamen Rider Chaser. A pretty slick and evil looking bike the Ride Chaser is a bit larger than many figuarts bikes and a bit more of a laid back ride in the same vein as the much older Machine Decader. Lite on the accessories but magnificent looking the Ride Chaser will be right at home with the rest of your Drive collection.

Check out over 30 images of the Ride Chaser & Midnight Shadow Effect Parts by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. I’ll be back soon with galleries of Kamen Rider Mach & the Ride Macher!

S.H. Figuarts Hakaider’s White Crow Gallery

Posted on June 18, 2015 at 11:39 pm by Den-O under General Tokusatsu News

“I will take your life.”

The evil Hakaider is one of the most memorable villains in tokusatsu history. A villainous foil in one form or another to every version of Kikaider ever, Hakaider simply wouldn’t be complete with out an awesome ride at his disposal. So today we’re taking a look back at a recent Tamashii Web Exclusive release with the S.H. Figuarts White Crow!

As Hakaider’s personal machine, White Crow is emblazoned with his emblem. However the rest of the bike is very much like the vehicle it’s based on, a 1972 Kawasaki H1 Mach III. But that doesn’t diminish just how gorgeous it looks in silver paint, or how awesome Hakaider looks while riding. As with the previous Kikaider vehicle release in this line, Side Machine, the White Crow include licensed decals, in this case a set of fully licensed Kawsaki labels!

Check out a full gallery & review of S.H. Figuarts White Crow after the jump. And check back in for our next exciting kikaider themed gallery with S.H. Figuarts Kikaider 01!

Yet another previously revealed item is being displayed to the public for the first time at the Tokyo Toy Show! In this case it’s the Super Sentai Artisan Chogokin Rodeomaru!

Just as with the upcoming Artisan Shinobimaru, Rodeomaru is a fully articulated replacement for his DX counterpart. Capable of combing with DX Bison King or Shurikenjin this figure also features metal/gokin parts and just as with Shinobimaru will be released as a Premium Bandai exclusive.

Orders open for this figure in July and retail price is 5500 yen!

Super Sentai Artisan Chogokin Shinken Oh at Tokyo Toy Show

Posted on June 18, 2015 at 11:06 am by Den-O under Super Sentai

Bandai of Japan just teased this figure last night when reports of it being on display at the Tokyo Toy Show came in. While some small thumbnail sized images trickled in over night, this morning brings us multiple up close full size shots of the Super Sentai Artisan Chogokin Shinken Oh!

This release follows in the footsteps of last years Artisan ToQ-Oh by replacing key elements of the design with metal/gokin parts. In this display prototype the metal parts are denoted as being unpainted silver. So the thighs, thigh guards, belt emblem, knee caps, sword, head crest, & fists are ALL metal parts!

S.H. Figuarts Nasca Dopant Gallery

Posted on June 13, 2015 at 5:56 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Our resident Kamen Rider W fanatic, Photo & Content contributor Ryan is back with another new gallery! This time it’s of W’s arch rival from the first half of the series, S.H. Figuarts Nasca Dopant! As excited as he was for this one I’ll let him take it from here!

Ah, Kirihiko Suda! From the smug, superior attitude he carried at the beginning, as the top Gaia Memory dealer, to the way he became a rival of Kamen Rider W, in his form as the Nasca Dopant, and then even a bit of an ally at the end, Kirihiko was a favorite character of mine. And no lie, I still get a bit teary-eyed when I think of his transition and demise (spoilers!).

SH Figuarts Nasca is a figure I looked forward to getting for quite a while, so let’s see how he compares to the W Figuarts (of which I have previously reviewed Heat Metal, Luna Trigger, and of course Cyclone Joker), shall we? – Ryan

Check out the full gallery of S.H. Figuarts Nasca Dopant by clicking “discuss on the TokuNation forums” at the bottom of this post!

S.H. Figuarts Mashin Chaser & Midnight Shadow Bonus Gallery

Posted on June 11, 2015 at 1:48 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Brake, Up.

And you thought Kamen Rider Drive Type Speed Gallery was cool? Now it’s time for something a little more wicked! The grim reaper himself, the Roidmude hitman, the fallen hero, S.H. Figuarts Mashin Chaser! And as a 2-for-1 this gallery also includes the Midnight Shadow Tire 1st Run Bonus!

S.H. Figuarts Mashin Chaser, once the heroic rider Proto-Drive, is presented here in absolutely glorious chaotic detail. Chaser includes 3 sets of additional heads as well as his trademark Brake Gunner, which can accept Shift Cars! Sadly Chaser isn’t compatible with Drive’s Tires as he is now. But I’ve worked out a temporary fix for that with some spare stage parts, which you can view in this gallery!

The Midnight Shadow 1st Run Bonuses included give you the Tire, Mr Belt Readout, and flipped shift car needed to replicate Drive’s Midnight Shadow combo as well!

We’ve attached a selection of images to this post but the full 80 images as well as a comprehensive review are posted in the gallery thread attached. Click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to see it in it’s entirety! We’ll back next week with the S.H. FIguarts Rider Chaser & Effect Part Bonus gallery!

DX Tridoron Shift Car & Drive Type Tridoron Vinyl Official Images

Posted on May 31, 2015 at 11:34 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

With an impending release this month Bandai has just released official images for a pair of upcoming Kamen Rider Drive Releases!

The DX Tridoron Shift Car allows Drive to access his final form, Type Tridoron! This massively powerful form can be controlled by Shinnosuke or by Mr Belt, marked by the visor turning red when he does. The DX toy of this shift car of course features it’s own electronic light and sound gimmick as well as compatibility with the DX Drive Driver! And while the Kamen Rider Drive Type Tridoron vinyl may not be that detailed, it does give us one of the finest looks we’ve had at this suit before it’s official debut.

Both of these items will be released this month, for 2700 yen & 864 yen respectively!
