Figure Oh S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Scans for December

Posted on July 22, 2015 at 1:16 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

The time of the month for blurry magazine scans has rolled around again! Although we’ve known about this pair of items for a bit some clear release info has popped up from this month’s Figure Oh.

S.H. Figuarts Mach Dead heat
Tamashii Web Exclusive
December, 5184 yen
– This image also reveals a special Aeon Store exclusive bonus part for S.H. Figuarts Drive Type Dead Heat. In the same fashion as the Blade Turn Up effect part released several years ago, buying Drive Dead Heat via Aeon will net you the Highway Effect.  It’s actually perfectly to scale with the Shift Cars and Shift Bikes that come with the various Drive Figuarts!

S.H. Figuarts Kabutolaw & Stronger 2-Pack
Tamashii Web Exclusive
December, 8424 Yen
– This set includes a slightly recolored Kamen Rider Stronger in same way as the Rider 1/Cyclone & Rider 2/Remodeled Cyclone sets. Just different enough to set it apart from your standard releases.

S.H. Figuarts Kabutolaw Single Release
Tamashii Web Exclusive
December, 4860 yen
– As with many Showa Era rider machines released recently you also have the option to buy the vehicle separately. We’ll update you as more scans and information from this months Figure Oh become available!

Kamen Rider Ghost- Iguana Ghostriker, Kamen Rider Specter, Logo & Eyecon Images!

Posted on July 17, 2015 at 8:40 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

More news for the 17th Heisei Kamen Rider series is rolling in and now we have concrete pictures and info! The following images give us our first clear look at Kamen Rider Ghost’s series logo. One which looks to incorporate further the overall Eye gimmick of the Ghost Eyecons.

Additionally we have some first looks at Ghost’s toyline. Up first is a silhouetted image of the secondary rider for the series, Kamen Rider Specter! This image also confirms the name of this series gimmick line (ala Arms Change or Tire Koukan). Ghost’s line is known as Ghost Change! Specter is labelled as GC03 which is telling. Kamen Rider Ghost Ore Soul and at least one of his alternate forms will be released first with Specter up after that!

Which speaking of we also get a look at GC01 Ghost Orel Soul while riding his VERY unorthodox Rider Machine. That’s right, a multi-piece combining machine, this year we have the Iguana Ghostriker! The combination of a black and very skeletal horse-like bike and a literal ghost ship! When the 2 combine together it’s clear where this machine get’s it’s name, as combined they form a giant robot Iguana! These images also offer a clear look at the very first DX Ghost Icon! The DX Ore Eyecon is Ghost’s default Eyecon that allows him to access his standard Ore Soul form.

Let’s go-go-go-Ghost!

Kamen Rider Ghost Design Revealed via Toy Scan!

Posted on July 16, 2015 at 11:56 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

And here we are folks, the first look at 17th Heisei rider, Kamen Rider Ghost! After months of speculation and false information we have our very first look at the character thanks to a toy catalog scan!

Kamen Rider Ghost uses the Ghost Driver to transform. When inserting a Ghost Eyecon into the driver the spirit of a ghost is absorbed and projected onto the users body in the form of a hood/jacket. This construct with a face mask covers the suit from behind to create the primary look of the rider. An orange and black with a horn, a hero fit to premiere around October. Though if translations are correct not only will Ghost appear first in Kamen Drive: Surprise Future, but his show will premiere in late september!

These images also give us our first look at the Ghost Driver and Eyecons themselves. The Ghost Driver features a lever on the right side that needs to be pulled back to accept an Eyecon then pushed back into to activate the gimmick. And the Gangan Saber is Ghost’s primary weapon.

So what do you think of the reveal of the 17th Heisei Kamen Rider? Let us know what you think of Kamen Rider Ghost in the comments!

Super Sentai Artisan Chouzetsu Akaninger Teased

Posted on July 10, 2015 at 12:42 pm by Den-O under Super Sentai

Following up from the 2nd Premium Bandai release for Shuriken Sentai Ninninger we’ve been teased for at least one more! Revealed via Artisan Rodeomaru’s order page are teaser images of Super Sentai Artisan Chouzetsu Akaninger!

Artisan Chouzetsu Akaninger will be a high end replacement for the small DX figure included with DX Lion Ha Oh as it’s pilot. The new Artisan figure will be fully posable and includes Takaharu’s Ichibantou as well. True to being in proper scale this figure stands at a diminutive 65mm when compared to the 125mm of Shinobi & Rodemarus. So although this is a high end chogokin release this figure will be far too small to scale well with S.H. Figuarts or any other 1/12 scale collection of figures.

Pricing has yet to be announced at this time, however as soon as more information becomes available we’ll update you!

Ninninger Q4 Mecha, DX Gekiatsu Dai Oh Officially Revealed!

Posted on July 9, 2015 at 2:56 pm by Den-O under Super Sentai

Taking a break from our San Diego Comic Con 2015 coverage we’ve gotten an update to another story from a few days ago. Rumored only days ago, today we have confirmation on the final mecha for Shuriken Sentai Ninninger. Releasing in October is the DX Gekiatsu Dai Oh!

As reported Gekiatsu Dai Oh is a brand new 6-piece combiner for the entire team. Each of the animals it’s composed of feature a hybrid vehicle motif as well as molded in flame details. Consdering Takaharu’s constant state of being “Fired Up” this is totally appropriate! Also as reported Gekiatsu will feature a chest missle launcher activated by a dial gimmick on it’s back. Each of the missles is actually the Ninningers themselves!

So what do you think of this bizarre new mecha? It’s been many years since a full team mecha upgrade like this has happened and it may very well be the first time a 6th ranger has received one and been incorporated in this fashion.

FINAL Ninninger Mecha Rumor, Gekiatsu Dai Oh for Q4

Posted on July 8, 2015 at 2:51 am by Den-O under Super Sentai

Though many have speculated since this the early reveal of the upcoming DX Lion Ha Oh, we may have some information regarding Shuriken Sentai Ninninger’s Q4 toys!

Lion Ha Oh, set for release in about a week, is the largest toy in the line and being that it’s a Q3 release many fans suspected a final mecha for Q4 to be revealed after it. Well if rumors posted by the reputable Dukemon22 of Rangerboard are to be believed then we’re actually about to get a brand new 6 piece combiner in October to finish out the year! DX Shuriken Gattai Gekiatsu Dai Oh!

Gekiatsu Dai Oh as stated above will be a 6 piece set of new mecha for the Ninningers. Composed of HouhouMaru (Phoenix), GenbuMaru (Turtle), SeiryuuMaru (Dragon), ByakkoMaru (White Tiger), PandaMaru (Panda), and MagoiMaru (Black Carp) each will have a hybrid vehicle motif. Able to form it’s own independent combination this robot is said to be primarily blue & orange with a fire theme. It’s also capable of substituting for Shurikenjin when combined with Lion Ha Oh to form Ha Oh Gekiatsu Dai Oh! It also apparently it has a chest missile firing gimmick!

What do you think about these rumors? We haven’t had a series regular full set of new machines for each individual of a sentai in quite some time, so this could be very unique indeed. Check back with us as time for release of this proposed set approaches!

Ninninger DX Lion Ha Oh New Images

Posted on July 4, 2015 at 9:09 pm by Den-O under Super Sentai

The behemoth and seemingly final (?) mecha of Shuriken Sentai Ninninger is due for a July 18th official release at Japanese retail. Priced at a whopping 9980 yen this big figure has been quite divisive with collectors. DX Lion Ha Oh’s large size and semi-simplistic design has put many off, but perhaps these new display images could change your mind.

Thanks to twitter user @soilu we have some great looks at DX Lion Ha Oh on display at a local Japanese retail shop! These new shots give us a look the impressive scale of Ha Oh confirming that the size is indeed worth the price, for some at least. Will you be picking this figure up? Sound off in our pre-existing Ninninger toy thread and let us know what you think of DX Lion Ha Oh in the comments below!

S.H. Figuarts Kikaider 01 Gallery

Posted on June 29, 2015 at 10:27 pm by Den-O under General Tokusatsu News

Change! Kikaider 01!

We’re back, with yet another figure from a toku classic! We’ve slowly been working our way through S.H. Figuarts released from the Kikaider franchise, and today we’re taking a look at yet another. Kikaider 01’s titular hero, S.H. Figuarts Kikaider 01!

Kikaider 01, Ichiro, is the older brother of the original Kikaider Jiro. Dr. Komyoji’s original prototype, 01 is a bit more emotional as his conscience circuit was actually completed. He’s also unique in that he was solar powered. The figuart sets itself apart from the first Kikaider by actually being a well made toy. Seriously, Kikaider 01 is a vast improvement over Kikaider with some solid articulation & much better QC. Overall it’s just a much better release and shows that Bandai finally found their footing with this subline.

We’ve attached a selection of images to this post but check out a full 40 image gallery as well as a complete review after the jump! And check in with us next time as we take a look at another classic from the Kikaider franchise with Kikaider 01’s nemesis, S.H. Figuarts Gill Hakaider!

Kamen Rider Black: S.H. Figuarts Rideron Official Images

Posted on June 29, 2015 at 2:43 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Release details were just revealed for this figure a few days ago and now Bandai of Japan has just released official images of S.H. Figuarts Rideron! Fans of Saban’s Masked Rider will undoubtedly recognize this vehicle as Magno, Dex’s trusty vehicle & ally.

Rideron, like the upcoming S.H. Figuarts Tridoron, is another large scale vehicle release from Bandai. However unlike Tridoron, Rideron is indeed a retail release! Priced at 19,440 yen this massive machine will set you back but it also completes a Black/Black RX Figuarts collection for many collectors as the final vehicle in that subline. S.H. Figuarts Rideron will be released this November.
