S.H. Figuarts Ptera Ranger Gallery

Posted on November 18, 2013 at 8:18 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers, Super Sentai

Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger and Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers, two shows that will forever be remembered in the tokusatsu community. One for the innovation and originality it brought to a well established franchise, and the other for it’s meteoric start to one of the most popular children’s entertainment franchises in western media. Both of these beloved shows continue to receive attention as Power Rangers reaches it’s 20th Anniversary, and the Zyurangers are set to appear in the Kyoryuger VS. Go-Busters film!

Of course Bandai can’t resist making dreams come true for fans of both of these franchises. So today we take a look at their latest release with an extensive gallery of S.H. Figuarts Ptera Ranger or as we also know her the Mighty Morphin’ Pink Ranger! Ptera comes with her Ranger Slinger, Ranger Stick, Ptera Bow & Arrow, and 3 extra sets of hands.

This exquisite figure captures the essence of the 3 amazing women to don the costume in both franchises. Be sure to follow Reiko Chiba/Mei & Amy Jo Johnson/Kimberly on twitter, and Catherine Sutherland/Kat on facebook!

S.H. Figuarts Powers Ranger Overdrive Black and Blue Ranger Gallery

Posted on October 23, 2013 at 1:13 am by Sentai Tamashii under Power Rangers, Super Sentai

The first of many two pack Figuarts to come from Bandai Tamashii Nations: Overdrive Black Ranger and Blue Ranger!

Based on the Japanese web exclusive Boukenger two pack set, this set features a packaging that features the US Power Ranger Overdrive logo and name, even on the clear blister window. The interior content is same as their Japanese counterparts though.

This two pack set comes with many accessories for both rangers but strangely the accessories did not include the guns without the nubs that connects the gun to the belt like Bouken Red/Overdrive Red did.

Overdrive Blue’s fan weapon comes with a removable strap that makes it easy to equip. Overdrive Black’s hands are a little loose around the hammer, so wield it with both hand is almost necessary.

The same neck issue that was present in Bouken Red/Overdrive Red still exists in this set as well.

S.H. Figuarts Kiba Ranger Gallery

Posted on October 20, 2013 at 2:17 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers, Super Sentai

KiRyoku Tenshin!

This figure has been long awaited by both Super Sentai & Power Rangers fans but the time is finally here. Today’s gallery is of S.H. Figuarts Kiba Ranger from Gosei Sentai Dairanger or for Power Rangers fans the original White Ranger!

Kiba Ranger is none other than the young boy Kou, grown to adult size after using his Aura Changer. His trusty partner and weapon the Byako Shinken (Saba) is included with holstered and extended blades. And though the choice of hands for this figure is limited this Japanese market Tamashii Web Exclusive release includes an alternate chest plate. This represents Kiba Ranger’s temporary stint as the cancelled “4th member” of the Akibarangers from Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger Season 2 and it’s alternate timeline where the Dairangers never existed!

Ironically the same young actor who played a young Burai/Dragon Ranger in Zyuranger also happened to play Kou in Dairanger. Thus sharing a rather odd connection to Tommy Oliver and his dual roles as both the Green and White Rangers in Power Rangers!

And how many of our fans remember our contest and were waiting for the chance to win the S.H. Figuarts Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Green Ranger signed by Jason David Frank? Well, this seems like the right piece to do that with! So let’s do this! Three different ways to enter, each giving you an entry to win!

Bluefin Hints at SDCC 2014 Exclusive – SH Figuarts MMPR Armored Black Ranger

Posted on October 17, 2013 at 1:36 pm by Chris under San Diego Comic Con

Internet personality Vangelus interviewed Bluefin Tamashii Nations regarding their business and how exactly SH Figuarts Mighty Morphin Power Rangers happened. He asked if we could ever see an armored Black Ranger, based on the Season 1 episode of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers where the Black Ranger took the Dragon Armor from the Green Ranger to battle the Oysterizer.

At around the 4:34 mark, Adam Newman and Xaiver Lim from Bluefin have what is can only be described as a scripted banter back and forth about “Hey, we should do that as a SDCC exclusive and package it with this!”.

Check out the interview below.

What do you think? Do you want an SH Figuarts Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Armored Black Ranger?

**It should be noted that the Armored Black Ranger and Shieldless Green Ranger these particular figures would be based on only appear in the Zyu2 footage created by Toei, for Saban, to increase the episode count of MMPR. Though Dragon/Green Ranger has appeared at other times without the shield he still included his arm bands. Technically speaking this would make these the first ever US exclusive rangers or variations on a standard costume to be made into SH Figuarts! A small step in the direction of Battlizers, Spirit Rangers, Titanium, and more!

S.H.Figuarts Power Blaster/Howling Cannon Accessory in Hand

Posted on October 9, 2013 at 1:27 pm by Kiryu under Power Rangers, Super Sentai

The photo gallery for S.H.Figuarts Black Ranger previewed a complete Power Blaster/Howling Cannon accessory for the up coming MMPR/Zyuranger S.H.Figuarts.

While it’s still unclear how Bandai will be releasing this accessory Bluefin did give us a quick preview of this little accessory and it will be on display at NYCC this weekend.

The 2nd image seems to indicate that the individual accessories will be able to combine in some way.

Thanks to Tokunation Member xSkullheartx for giving us the heads up!
