Dispatched to Earth’s moon on a mission to free Rita Repulsa by the mighty Dark Spector, was the original Psycho Ranger. When the NASA moon landing inadvertently woke this slumbering villain in 1969, Alpha 5 & Zordon had no choice but to assemble a team, the original Power Rangers!  Inexperienced, isolated, caught off guard, the Power Rangers would have to contend with, Psycho Green! 

Released as an SDCC 2018 Exclusive, the Legacy Psycho Green Ranger is (simultaneously with Psycho Silver) the first release of this mold in North America. Though the Psycho Red & Blue Rangers have turned up internationally, Green & Silver mark the domestic debut for this new mold. If you have experience with the Legacy 6.5″ line at all, then you know exactly what you’re in for here. Throw in the premium-style con packaging and Psycho Green’s signature Psycho Dagger, and you get a solid release and introduction of what to expect from his mold mates. I’ve done my best to recreate some panels from Green’s debut issue so I hope that comes across. Enjoy!

This year one of the biggest things for the Power Rangers brand has been both what BOOM! Studios continues to put out with the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comics as well as the Twitch.TV Power Rangers HyperForce series. At this year’s San Diego Comic Con, BOOM! Studios is celebrating both of those things with these awesome exclusives!

First up is the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 28 Psycho Green Ranger cover. You can purchase this as a bundle with the exclusive Power Rangers In Space Legacy Psycho Green Ranger figure. NOTE! The Legacy Psycho Green Ranger figure is limited to 1500 pieces so good luck!

Second, we have an exclusive Power Rangers HyperForce cover for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Issue 29. This features the team, helmetless, taking in a moment under a starry sky drawn by Jordan Gibson. This, as the previous Power Rangers HyperForce cover, is going to be a quick sell!

IT’S MORPHIN TIME!

Our friends at Boom! Studios via PowerRangersNow just released a new set of pages previewing the upcoming issue of the on going comic: Go Go Power Rangers Issue #11!

The Shattered Grid event continues in Go Go Power Rangers Issue #11,  we explore the Ranger Slayer’s past in this volume. Issue#11 is set to hit store shelves sometime in July.

As always, the pages will contain spoilers for the comic so hit the jump at your own risk.

Another new special release from Boom! Studios has just been announced!

Go Go Power Rangers: Back To School will feature the five teenagers with attitude going on their first vacation since obtaining the Power Coins. Each Ranger’s story will be explored from a different perspective, and feature situations where morphing may not be the answer to saving the day.

This new 40-page one-shot comic will be written by Marguerite Bennett and will feature artwork from Jim Towe (Youngblood), Derek Charm (Star Wars: Adventures, Powerpuff Girls), Jordan Gibson (The Amazing Spider-Man), Xiao Tong Kong (Adventure Time Comics) and Ilaria Catalani (Rugrats: R is for Reptar).

Go Go Power Rangers: Back To School has a pricetag of $7.99 USD! An exact release date has not been confirmed at time of writing, so stay tuned to TokuNation as we keep you up to date on all Power Rangers comic news!

Following the conclusion of the Shattered Grid event in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Issue 31 (releasing in September) will showcase a BRAND NEW team of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers!

– The Ranger Slayer
– Magna Defender
– Zeo Ranger II, Yellow
– Green Samurai Ranger (Power Rangers Ninja Storm)
– Red In Space Ranger
– “Deathryuger”, the unused hero/villain from Power Rangers Dino Charge who is now officially known as The Dark Ranger!

There are no real details about how this new team comes together – or what happens to the team we know and love – except that all will be revealed by the time the team takes center stage! The Shattered Grid event in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comic has claimed it’s final two victims – Kyle Higgins and Daniele Di Nicuolo are leaving the book, passing the torch to Marguerite Bennett and Simone Di Meo as writer and artist, respectively. Starting in Issue 31, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Comic will Change Creative Team at Shattered Grid Conclusion.

This new team will be continuing on from the after-effects of the conclusion of the Shattered Grid comic event. Kyle Higgins states in an exclusive article with ComicBook.com that there is no giant reset button for the event – the changes that happen in the book are, for the time being, permanent and change everything (just look at the new team!).

The final issue featuring Kyle Higgins and Daniele Di Nicuolo will be Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 30, which releases this August. The last work featuring Kyle Higgins as writer for Power Rangers will be the Soul of the Dragon graphic novel, which releases near the end of the year.

Thank you for taking Power Rangers seriously, showing the comic book world that our favorite spandex heroes can have awesome, gritty stories with heart and soul. Power Rangers: Soul of the Dragon will be an all-new story featuring the legendary Tommy Oliver during his retirement life who sets out to find his missing son while the SPD Rangers take charge of defending the Earth.

Power Rangers: Soul of the Dragon will be written by Kyle Higgens, author of the fan favorite Mighty Morphin Power Rangers ongoing series. You can look forward to reading Power Rangers: Soul of the Dragon in September 2018. You can find the official synopsis below: 

As a young adult, Tommy Oliver set upon a journey that would inspire hundreds of Power Rangers that would come afterward, thwarting evils like Empress Rita Repulsa, Lord Zedd, and King Mondo of the Machine Empire.
