The next issue of Figure Oh has just been teased with a censored cover. With the cover feature being the next S.H. Figuarts reveal for the Heisei Riders Rising Project.

While we’ve been let down many times before, the timing, secrecy, the unseen 20th Rider Kicks ride watch stage that was teased, the massive build up of anticipation, and frankly what is clearly the moon on the background of this cover, would imply that this could very well be the long awaited Kamen Rider Kiva.

There has been no confirmation of this figure’s identity yet, and this is purely speculation based. Your guess will be as good as ours, but our money is on Kiva. Confirmation one way or the other will be made officially on 10/24, when this cover is finally revealed in full.

“A-MA-ZOOOOOONNNNNNNNNN!”

7 years ago, the original S.H. Figuarts Amazon was released, we reviewed it in 2016. Looking back now, that Amazon is an extremely dated figure. Even though for it’s time it was a fantastic addition to any collection, today Bandai spoils us with so much more. Just released this month is the long awaited modern update for Amazon, S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Amazon!

The Shinkocchou Seihou subline has thus far been excellent, there’s no way to diminish how truly wonderful it’s been. But Amazon really ratchets things up. This is by far my favorite release in the line thus far, and one that really goes the distance to recreating the suit and character to near perfect detail. An excellent looking figure at the very least, Amazon also has a wealth of articulation that the original figuart lacked. While it may lack something in the accessories department, there’s no doubt that this is the definitive figure of Kamen Rider Amazon!

The end of that battle forever left fans of the show with tears in their eyes. Releasing in April of 2019 for 6,264 yen via Premium Bandai, you too can own your own Kamen Rider Grease Blizzard figure! The secondhand man to Kamen Rider Evol, the villain of the fan-favorite series Kamen Rider Build, is getting his own S.H. Figuarts figure! Coming in April 2019 is S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Mad Rogue! He comes with all the accessories you would expect (Nebula Steam Gun, Bat Full Bottle, Steam Blade, and different hands).

He is a Premium Bandai release at 6,264 yen. Orders open October 12th so contact your middle man! Click the title of the story for all the images!

NYCC 2018 is well under way as of this morning. Thanks to our usual news crew roaming the show floor we have some new Power Rangers images from the Tamashii Nations Booth! While there aren’t any new reveals at this years show, Tamashii Nations has still got quite the display set up for attendees:

“We need Megazord power, NOW!”

SDCC had some powerful exclusives for Power Rangers collector’s this year. Exclusives that are now making the rounds at a number of North American conventions such as Fan Expo Canada and New York Comic Con. Today, we’re taking a look at by far the most spectacular of these exclusives with the SOC Soul of Chogokin GX-72B Black Megazord! 

The Black Megazord/Daizyujin is an elaborate repaint of the original SOC release, primarily in black, with a plethora of gorgeous gold trim, green accents, and silver chrome. This color scheme is directly inspired by and meant to compliment the Soul of Chogokin Dragonzord/Dragon Caesar, which is a bit of a different take on the black repaint tradition than we usually get for MMPR or Zyuranger. Each of the Zords functions identically to the first release, but they look so spectacular in these new colors. We’ve included a number of comparison shots with the first release, with some fun mix & match possibilities as well.

“Evol Match! Bat! Engine!”

Bandai Tamashii Nations’ Akiba Showroom has updated its display with a first look at S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Mad Rogue! The Evol Driver powered form of Nariaki Utsumi currently has no price or release details to report, however given the pattern of releases so far it seems that a Tamashii web exclusive release seems most likely. However from the display we can see that Mad Rogue will include both the Steam Blade and NebulaSteam Gun as accessories.

You’re 20,000 years too early to preorder me!”

Tamashii Nations’ steady stream of Ultraman S.H. Figuarts releases continues on into 2019 with the announcement of S.H. Figuarts Ultraman Zero! Not to be confused with the S.H. Figuarts Ultraman Zero Beyond figure due out in November, this standard version of the dimension-hopping son of Ultraseven is due out in February 2019 with a price tag of 5940 yen. It also looks as though the figure will be a standard retail release, though this is yet to be confirmed.

The magazine scans also reveal that the figure will include his Zero Sluggers (which can fit both on his head and chest to replicate his “Zero Twin Shoot” attack) and Zero Twin Sword weapon.

S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Joker is yet another lavish do-over from Bandai. Chipping away at the forms and variations of Kamen Rider W in their premium renewal line, Joker was released as a Tamashii Nations event exclusive last year. It was also made available in mid-2018 via the Tamashii Web Shop. While it’s undoubtedly an easy repaint, and definitely has a dearth of accessories, it’s certainly a form that brings it’s style A-game.
