Surprise! Revealed via magazine scans less than 24 hours ago to be Banjou’s next form in Kamen Rider Build, Bandai has done quite the turn around and revealed a figure of this new form as well!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Great Cross-Z! Gaining control over the Dragon Evol Bottle, Cross-Z gains this new form based on his original. While no release details are available yet, for now this is only a display prototype, we’ll be sure to update you when and if more information becomes available.

Tamashii Comic-Con: Robot Spirits Final Battle Gipsy Avenger & Drone Jaegers

Posted on May 25, 2018 at 10:02 am by Den-O under Conventions, General Tokusatsu News, Other Conventions

As Tamashii Comic-Con continues there have been a huge number of reveals and display prototypes on shown for various western properties like Marvel, Star Wars, & DC. If you’d like to check out all of these, we highly suggest you head over to our sister site, Toyark.com to see their reporting. For us though, the con has provided more display prototypes from Pacific Rim Uprising!

For starters we have Robot Spirits Gispy Avenger Tokyo Final Battle Version! This remold/repaint of the original Avenger release features the left arm Plasma Caster, and rocket booster used  for the decisive battle near and above Mount Fuji. It also appears to include the Plasma Chainsaws taken from Obsidian Fury for the same battle. Second, we have our first look at the Robot Spirits Drone Jaegers. These are their pre-Kaiju Hybrid forms which are actually only seen quite briefly in the film.

For now we don’t have any release information for this pair of figures, but we’ll be sure to update you when and if it does. Images come courtesy of Figsoku.

S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider W Fang Joker Gallery

Posted on May 24, 2018 at 3:55 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“Fang! Joker!”

The incident known as Begins Night heralded the birth of Kamen Rider W’s first and most ferocious form. One so powerful that, for a time, Phillip & Shotaro purposefully avoided using it or they’d risk losing control entirely. Eventually mastered, this form was a force to be reckoned. And now, after nearly a decade stuck with the original figuarts release, Bandai has recreated this powerhouse form in S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider W Fang Joker!

Fang Joker is yet another excellent release for the Kamen Rider W line. Another reuse of the excellent Seihou body type first introduced with W Cyclone Joker, Fang Joker is also another brilliant addition to your collection. Adding a little more ferocity to the base W body, Fang Joker also includes a plethora of hands as well as all 3 versions of the Saber he’s equipped with (Arm, Shoulder, & Maximum). If you’ve had any experience with Seihou releases for this series already, you know you’re in for a treat with this one.

We’ve attached the full 60 image gallery to this post, but you can also read our full review of S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider W Fang Joker! by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. We’ll see you again soon with another brand new gallery!

Tamashii Comic-Con: Soul of Chogokin Crimson Typhoon Images

Posted on May 24, 2018 at 9:25 am by Den-O under General Tokusatsu News

The newest event on Tamahii Nations toy show circuit, Tamashii Comic-Con, is currently happening this weekend. While the show seems primarily geared towards some more mainstream non-toku properties like Stars Wars, Marvel, DC, and even the newly announced Harry Potter license, there are going to be a handful of new and upcoming releases relevant to us as well.

First up, Bandai Tamashii Nations has on display the 2nd release in their Pacific Rim Soul of Chogokin line, Crimson Typhoon! You may recall, we saw this figure first back at Toy Fair 2018. This is our first solid look at it since then, and it looks absolutely incredible. These new images come courtesy of Amiami Hobby News, and while the placard seen in them doesn’t confirm any release information, we can only assume that such info will drop in the near future.

We’ll keep you up to date with any other new reveals or upcoming releases that are at Tamashii Comic-Con through out the weekend.

Tamashii Pickup: S.I.C. Kamen Rider Amazon Alpha Images

Posted on May 24, 2018 at 9:07 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

With images released at the same time as Gamera (1999), we also have our first set of official images for S.I.C. Kamen Rider Amazon Alpha from the Tamashii Pickup webpage!

Revealed for the first time last week, S.I.C. Amazon Alpha joins the long legacy of the S.I.C. toyline and even calls back to the original basis for the Amazon Alpha design. Originally based on a S.I.C. figure itself, the Pre-Amazon S.I.C. Hero Saga figure, this new figure captures the wild spirit and ferocity of Takeyama Jin.

S.I.C. Amazon Alpha will be released in October 2018, as a retail release, for 8640 yen.

Tamashii Pick-Up: S.H. Monsterarts Gamera (1999) Images

Posted on May 24, 2018 at 9:01 am by Den-O under General Tokusatsu News

It’s that time of month again, for a release of Tamashii Picup images for upcoming products from Tamashii Nations! This week sees the release of preview images for two very different monsters.

S.H. Monsterarts Gamera (1999), as we reported on yesterday, is based on the creatures’ appearance in the third film of the Heisei trilogy, Gamera 3: The Revenge of Iris. The biggest draw of this release of course being the new translucent orange arm from the climax of the film. Gamera (1999) will be released in October 2018, as a retail release, for 10,800 yen.

S.H. MonsterArts Gamera [1999] Revealed

Posted on May 23, 2018 at 3:52 pm by ZeoRangerV under General Tokusatsu News

Although the S.H. MonsterArts line has remained a strictly Godzilla-affair for sometime now, it looks like everyone’s favourite child-friendly turtle will be joining the line once again with the announcement of S.H. MonsterArts Gamera [1999]!

Based on the monster’s appearance from the third film in the Heisei Gamera trilogy, Gamera 3: The Revenge of Iris, Gamera [1999] is a remould of the original MonsterArts Gamera figure featuring a new spiked shell to match the movie suit. The magazine images confirm that the alternate flight parts from the previous release will be carried over, together with a brand new alternate translucent orange right arm – recreating the final scenes of the movie where Gamera defeats Iris with a fiery plasma fist.

S.H. MonsterArts Gamera [1999] will be a mass release item released in October 2018 for the price of 10800 yen. Be sure to check out the full-sized image and let us know your thoughts after the jump!

S.H.Figuarts Ultraman X Official Photos Revealed

Posted on May 23, 2018 at 12:19 pm by Kiryu under Ultraman

“X, united!”

Seen only yesterday for the first time, Tamashii Nations has today released a full set of official images for S.H. Figuarts Ultraman X!

X has been a long demanded figure by fans, and it looks like Tamashii is pulling out all the stops to please them. A strikingly good likeness to the show suit, Ultraman X goes the extra mile by including actual usable Cyber Gomora Armor! This marks to return of full form changing gimmicks to the S.H. FIguarts line after a long hiatus and is indeed welcome to see.

S.H. Figuarts Ultraman X will be a retail release in October 2018 and retails for 7560 yen.

Posted on May 21, 2018 at 11:05 am by Den-O under Conventions, General Tokusatsu News, San Diego Comic Con

Following up Bluefin Tamashii’s other excellent exclusives for this year’s San Diego Comic Con, they are also teasing an exclusive 2-pack exclusive from Pacific Rim Uprising!

While Bluefin promises more information is coming soon, we can already see from the preview image of this set, that it features re-releases of the popular Robot Spirits Obsidian Fury & Gypsy Avenger. However this go around they appear to be repainted in far more accurate detail, calling back to the Premium Color repaints other Tamashii lines  (like Dragonball) have received over the years.

We don’t have information on the pricing of this set yet, but it will most certainly be available at the Bluefin Brands booth as with their other exclusives, the SOC Black Megazord & Helmetless MMPR Figuarts.
