Two Giant Monsters Attack Tokyo!

Bandai Tamashii Nations continue their journey into The Return of Ultraman with the release of S.H. Figuarts Gudon! Appearing in episodes 5 and 6 of the 1971 series, Gudon is a prehistoric kaiju that preyed upon Twin Tail. When a Twin Tail egg was discovered and hatched in modern day, a Gudon also appeared to hunt its eternal rival – prompting a three way battle between the two monsters and Ultraman Jack.

S.H. Figuarts Gudon is a Tamashii web exclusive due for release in December, at the price of 7560 yen. It comes with a single accessory – an alternate damaged head for the soon-to-be-released S.H. Figuarts Twin Tail figure.

Will you be adding this ancient monster to your collection? Check out the images and let us know after the jump!

However the newest wave of magazine scans also confirms that the figure will be a Tamashii web exclusive, releasing in November for the price of 5940 yen. So far the only confirmed accessory is his Beyond Twin Edge weapon, but expect more to be confirmed next week when the official images surface!

Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Zero! Zero joins Garo (releasing this month) as so far the only other non-Kamen Rider character in the Seihou line. Given that both of these Makai Knights have been Web Exclusive releases, we’ll just have to wait and see when or if more Knights will eventually joins the line.

Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Wizard Flame Style Confirmed for Release

Posted on June 21, 2018 at 9:38 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

“Shabadoobie touch to henshin!”

It’s been years since the original Figuart for Wizard was released. However in recent months, Tamashii Nations has been displaying a prototype for a renewal of the figure. After a lot of speculation, and plenty of hope, we finally have confirmation on the release of S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Wizard Flame Style!

Wizard’s original S.H. Figuarts toyline was plagued by horrendous QC and wonky proportions. Of most modern figuarts lines, Wizard was certainly one that needed the Seihou renewal treatment. Now confirmed for release, Shinkocchou Seihou Wizard will be out in November 2018, it will be a retail release, and will be 7884 yen.

Amazon Listings Up for Legacy 6.5″ Psycho Pink , In Space Silver, & Ninja Steel Rangers!

Posted on June 19, 2018 at 3:54 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers

I imagine it went something like this. Bandai: “The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.

Despite popular thinking to the contrary, a new wave of Power Rangers Legacy 6.5″ figures has actually made it’s way up for order by way of Amazon! The image we’ve used for this article comes from the original reveal that these figures were possibly being developed, back in October 2017. There are no official stock images for any of these figures currently.

Legacy Psycho Pink

Legacy In Space Silver Ranger

Legacy Ninja Steel Red Ranger

Legacy Ninja Steel Yellow Ranger

Legacy Ninja Steel Blue Ranger

These listings have surfaced seemingly out of the blue. But it likely confirms the line is quite far from dead before Hasbro begins releasing it’s Power Rangers product next year. Curiously absent for now are the Psycho Yellow & Black Rangers to complete that team, as well as a Pink Ninja Steel Ranger. For now the listings are not active, but they can be added to a wish list if you’d like to keep track of them.

When these listings go live we’ll be sure to update you!

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers – Ninja Megazord and Falconzord Super Mini-Pla See US Release

Posted on June 15, 2018 at 5:00 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

Recently, Premium Bandai and Bandai Japan announced the next Super Mini-Pla figures to see release in Japan (the Muteki Shogun, Kakure Daishogun, and Tsubasamaru). Fans speculated whether or not they would see a release in the United States – and today Bluefin Tamashii Nations announced that the Ninja Megazord and Falconzord will see a US release!

The retail price tag for this set will be $99 and will release this November. This is great because the Japanese version, Kakure Daishogun and Tsubasamaru, were Premium Bandai exclusives and were demanding a pretty penny for import.

Super Mini-Pla are model kits that you put together. The end result is a mecha that is more articulated than the full size toy. The closest way to describe them is think Gundam model kits but of your favorite Power Rangers and Super Sentai mechs.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Comic Will Change Creative Team at Shattered Grid Conclusion

Posted on June 15, 2018 at 1:15 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

The Shattered Grid event in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comic has claimed it’s final two victims – Kyle Higgins and Daniele Di Nicuolo are leaving the book, passing the torch to Marguerite Bennett and Simone Di Meo as writer and artist, respectively. Starting in Issue 31, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Comic will Change Creative Team at Shattered Grid Conclusion.

This new team will be continuing on from the after-effects of the conclusion of the Shattered Grid comic event. Kyle Higgins states in an exclusive article with ComicBook.com that there is no giant reset button for the event – the changes that happen in the book are, for the time being, permanent and change everything (just look at the new team!).

The final issue featuring Kyle Higgins and Daniele Di Nicuolo will be Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 30, which releases this August. The last work featuring Kyle Higgins as writer for Power Rangers will be the Soul of the Dragon graphic novel, which releases near the end of the year.

To Kyle Higgins and Daniele Di Nicuolo – THANK YOU. Thank you for taking a property known for being 100% kids oriented and telling real stories with real consequences. Thank you for taking Power Rangers seriously, showing the comic book world that our favorite spandex heroes can have awesome, gritty stories with heart and soul. You will both go down as creative legends in the Power Rangers universe.

To Marguerite Bennett and Simone Di Meo – WELCOME! We cannot wait to see what you have in store for the Power Rangers universe and we are excited to be able to take the journey with you!
