S.H. Monsterarts Shin Godzilla 2016 2nd & 3rd Forms Revealed

Posted on August 25, 2016 at 12:07 am by Den-O under Godzilla

We’ve known for quite some time that the Shin Godzilla film (or as it’s known in the west Godzilla Resurgence) would feature a creature with mutating forms and abilities. But it wasn’t until last month, when images of vinyls for some of these forms surfaced, that we had any idea what they’d look like. Now thanks to a pair of Figure Oh magazine scans hosted over at Steven’s Toy Blog, we have our first looks at S.H. MonsterArts Shin Godzilla’s 2nd & 3rd Forms!

These seemingly diminutive and oddly colored forms look like very different interpretations of Godzilla than we’ve ever seen. Both are very squat and plump, one featuring a mostly beige color scheme while the others’ red coloration seems to be influenced by the “Poster Art Version” of the 2014 Godzilla Monsterarts figure.

What do you think of these bizarre new forms for the 2016 Godzilla? Right now there’s no concrete release information for either of them, but would you be interested in picking such unique forms up? Let us know in the discussion thread below.

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider J Official Images & Info

Posted on August 24, 2016 at 9:38 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

At long last the FINAL Showa Kamen Rider has finally been scheduled for release! Arriving in January 2017 as a Tamashii Web Exclusive is the long waited S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider J!

Not only completing the trio of Showa Movie Riders from the mid 90’s, Kamen Rider J is also the last of the Showa riders overall to be released as a figuart. Which is really fitting when you consider he was featured in the last Showa Rider production.  J will include two full sets of hands, an additional right hand featuring his signature “J” pose, J’s sidekick grasshopper Berry, and an alternate set of wings for Berry!

Kamen Rider J finally rounds out the Showa era of riders but we’re still missing two Heisei Riders right now (G & Kiva). We wonder how long it will be before those gaps are filled as well. Does J’s release bode well for either of them? What do you think? Time will tell. And be sure to get in touch with your preferred middleman or Tamashii Web Exclusive service when orders open to secure one. You can find a list of some such sites here.

Space Sheriff Gavan: Tamashii Lab Laser Blade Revealed!

Posted on August 24, 2016 at 1:24 pm by Den-O under Metal Heroes

Legacy Collection what? It looks like Tamashii Nations is getting in on premium 1:1 scale replicas for a whole new subset of fans, specifically Metal Heroes. We’ve just gotten our first look at the upcoming Tamashii Lab Laser Blade! A lifesize replica of Space Sheriff Gavan’s signature weapon.

This surprising piece looks to be one of the most complex replica weapons Bandai has produced to date. Featuring an IR sensor, the Laser Blade allows you to slide your hand up the blade to “charge” it in the same way that Gavan does for his Gavan Dynamic attack. Whilst doing so the Blade lights up in sequence and plays the appropriate sound effects while also playing the series’ BGM!

The Tamashii Lab Laser Blade is set for January 2017 release for a whopping 16,200 yen. Currently it’s believed to be a Premium Bandai exclusive releases but we don’t have confirmation on that as of yet.
