Eyes Open!

There’s no time like the present! And before the full high resolution reveal of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Ghost takes place at this weekends’  Tamashii Nations event, we figured it would be the perfect time to share our gallery of the Ghost Change GC-01 Kamen Rider Ghost Ore Damashii!

Kamen Rider Ghost is about a month into it’s run and several of the initial gimmick figures have already made there way out to retail. As a starter GC-01 Ghost does an admirable job of recreating the series gimmick, the transforming “Damashiis”.  Ghost includes his default Ore Damashii as well as a non-transforming version of his Gan Gun Saber. And while it’s not too bad for gimmick line toy, it does leave much to be desired. GC-01 Ghost Ore Damashii seems to be channeling a little bit of Arms Change in it’s design but doesn’t quite nail it. I’ll give them credit though, I just wish it could have been a little bit better overall. Check out the full review for more details.

And dropping the final piece of casting news for Saban and Lionsgates 2017 Power Rangers Movie has just been revealed! Becky Gomez has been cast as the Yellow Ranger!

As with the other members of the team, Becky Gomez has a relatively short list of credits to her acting resume. But is well known as a singer & songwriter on social media. Another special reveal comes in the forms of S.I.C. Heart Roidmude! Joining the likes of the recently revealed S.I.C. Drive and the core 4 Gaim Riders, Heart is an incredible looking figure. And a unique one too! The man behind the monsters of Drive, the designer of the Roidmudes was Takeyuki Takeya, whom if you haven’t realized it by now has been the man behind the entire S.I.C. toyline for well over a decade!

A renowned sculptor Mr. Takeya has crafted some truly gorgeous and detailed figures over the years. His Roidmude designs have begged to be done up as S.I.C.s since their first on screen appearance and now he’s gotten his chace with S.I.C. Heart! This figure takes the design form the show and pushes it a step further, or rather a step backward, more in line with the original line-art but with some new flares to the design improvised by Takeya.

We don’t have release details for S.I.C. Heart Roidmude yet, like many figures at this years’ Tamashii Nations show. But this one is a bit of special case we felt needed to be spotlighted. Well done Mr. Takeya, well done.

And another round of new figures is about to be officially revealed at Tamashii Nations 2015! For now we have the usual set of shaky images floating around twitter. But these images give us our first look yet at the various S.H. Figuarts releases lined up for Kamen Rider Ghost! On display (on a giant pike of Eyecons no less) are:

On top of the incredible looking S.I.C. Kamen Rider Gaim Orange Arms revealed earlier today we have new images showcasing 3 more S.I.C. Gaim Riders! No other information is available currently but we have initial images of:

These 3 are already looking just as impressive as Gaim himself. Time will tell if these figures, or even Gaim, see an actual release. But for now enjoy these images as our coverage of Tamashii Nations 2015 continues!

The first day of the show has wound down but Tamashii Nations 2015 will go on through this weekend. We’ve had a ton of reveals up to this point but a LOT more are apparently on the way as more sections of the show are made available to the general public. A portion of the rumored figures list comes from The Ghouly News, but still take it with a bit of salt as we can’t confirm some of these figures yet. Thanks to some teaser images released by Bandai we have at least a few confirmed things to look forward to:

A new 4 minute trailer for the upcoming Kamen Rider Battle Ride War Genesis game was just released online, and in this new trailer the first episode stages are shown off along with a handful of new playable characters!

The trailer confirms that the following Riders will be playable:

Ichigo


In addition to showcasing Ghost and Drive in action.

Battle Ride War Genesis will be released Febuary 25th 2016 for PS3, PS4(7000 yen each) and PS Vita (6100 yen) consoles. Like previous games, a TV Sound Edition will be avalaible for 10,200 yen.

A new full-length trailer for the upcoming film Kamen Rider Ghost & Kamen Rider Drive: Movie War Genesis has been posted online!

This gives us some excellent shots of both Riders fighting against new enemies, including the Leonardo Ganma. In addition, we have our first look at Shinnosuke’s latest form- known as Kamen Rider Zero Drive.

Movie War Genesis premieres in theaters on December 12, 2015!

That time of year has rolled around once more! It’s the third annual Titanium Ranger Day! October 28th 2013 started it all when our colleagues at Rangercrew got together with Bandai Cards to help promote the Titanium Ranger with the official reveal of his Power Rangers ACG Card and a live chat with his actor Rhett Fisher! 

What began as a simple day of appreciation for the character has grown to be much more than that. Not only did Titanium Ranger make his way into the ACG that year, but he was 1 of the final 5 rangers selected in Morphin Madness,  became part of the exclusive Power Morphicon 2014 Ranger Key Pack, had a 5″ Super Megaforce Legendary Ranger figure, AND made it into the finale of Power Ranger Super Megaforce!

As the first ranger ever to be solely featured in Power Rangers (Lightspeed Rescue) with no sentai counterpart for his basis, Titanium Ranger is one of the most unique creations in the entire Power Rangers franchise. Appreciation for the Titanium Ranger & Rhett Fisher himself has been on the rise for years. It’s no coincidence that the last few years have been very kind to the character. We here at TokuNation are proud to celebrate another Titanium Ranger Day!
