The release of PS3’s Godzilla game is just around the corner, and while we wait another title: Godzilla VS was just announced in the latest issue of Famitsu magazine.
Godzilla VS will is an action game reminiscent to the Gundam VS series, at the moment only a Playstation 4 version has been announced and will a feature competitive online versus mode.
Godzilla VS will see a release sometime in this summer in Japan while a western release remains to be seen.
The first images of the third-quarter toys for Shuriken Sentai Ninninger have come online! While the images are low-quality, the details for these new releases correspond perfectly with the rumors we began hearing this week!
*First up is the Chozetsu Changer! This wrist brace allows the Ninningers to transform into a new heavily-armored Chozetsu– meaning transcendent– form! Current rumors suggest only one Ninninger at a time may use this upgrade, but that detail is unconfirmed.
*Next, the new Mecha- Lion HaOh! A gigantic black lion controlled by Akaninger Chozetsu, armed with twin shurikens. The Lion can combine with ShurikenJin and Bison King to create HaOh ShurikenJin– a MASSIVE combination with ShurikenJin controlling an even larger robot from the front seat!
*Last but certainly not least is a special new release for the Ninningers’ summer movie (title and release details still unconfirmed at the time of writing). This new Otomo-nin is DinoMaru, an orange Tyrannosaurus that creates a drill-sword for ShurikenJin!
Definitely some exciting new elements coming soon for the 39th Super Sentai Series!
Courtesy of Viacom, the parent company of Nickelodeon, an array of high resolution images of the cast of Power Rangers Dino Charge in costume have been released. These images gives us a couple of standard team shots but we also have the welcome addition of helmetless ranger images.
It’s always nice to see these types of HD photos and even better when they’re provided directly by the source. As the season continues we can probably expect more such photo dumps, especially as new rangers appear!
As is usual these rumors come from the reliable dukemon22, currently posted up over at Rangerboard.com. We can’t yet confirm the validity of this info at this time so take this information as rumor, but this sound very very promising.
DX LionHaOh (9800 yen): A large castle type mecha with a Lion motif piloted by Akaninger Chouzetsu (see below for that one). When Shurikenjin & Bison King combine with it Shurikenjin indeed sits in the throne like the Otomonin! Combined form is named HaOh Shurikenjin.
Shoubu Chozetsu Changer (Battle Transcendance Changer): Allows Akaninger to become Akaninger Chouzetsu. A fully armored soldier form with castle like features as well. Aoninger & Kininger can also access this form. The changer is wrist worn & apparently includes a Lion type Shuriken and another with the kanji for “Shoubu” on it. The Changer can combine with the Ichibantou to form the Ichiban Shoubu Gatana.
Otomin Series EX DinoMaru (3800 yen): And orange Dinosaur type remold of Paonmaru with a drill for a tail. Exclusive to the Ninninger summer movie, it combines to form Dino Shurikenjin.

EMERGENCY, DEKARANGER!
Toei has just recently announced that 2004’s Tokusou Sentai DekaRanger will be receiving the HD BluRay treatment!
The first of three sets containing episodes 1-16 will be released in August. With 2 more sets following in October & December. Each set will be available for a rather pricey 19,800 yen according to the Toei Video for this release.
To commemorate the release, Toei released a video featuring the returning actors from DekaRanger:

TokuNation returns to the team of ninjas that refuses to hide with Shuriken Sentai Ninninger! And today we’re taking a look at the second release in the Otomonin series of additional mecha, DX UFOmaru!
Apparently the original Otomonin, UFOmaru is the being which all of the Ninninger’s mecha technology is based on. Rather interestingly UFOmaru is also the first and so far only literal UFO based mecha in Super Sentai. We’ve had spaceships in the past but this one takes the cake. An interesting design, UFOmaru can alternate between the traditional “saucer” mode and his own unique robot form that stands tall with Paonmaru & Shinobimaru. When used in place of Shinobimaru, Shurikenjin UFO is formed! Armed with the 3-barrelled UFOmaru Launcher, Shurikenjin UFO succeeds in being another new and unique combination that’s a welcome breath of fresh air.

The name Ultraman X appears in recent copyright filing, suggesting a new series in the near future!

Paon! Paon! Paon! Wasshoi!
Shuriken Sentai Ninninger is moving right along in both show & toyline. The first release in the DX Otomonin series for Ninninger recently hit Japanese retail and we’ve finally gotten our copy in hand for review. Today we’re taking a look at DX Paonmaru!
Paonmaru made it’s first appearance a matter of weeks ago on Ninninger and as the name implies Paonmaru is an elephant. It came to the aid of the Ninningers as the first of the restored Sealing Shurikens. Not only does it have a role as a beast, but it can also be reconfigured into a small robot formation that’s very similar to Shinobimaru at a basic level. Though Paonmaru has a bit more bulk to it. The real star of the show however is this machine’s combination with Shurikenjin, Shurikenjin Paon! Wielding the Paon Axes Shurikenjin Paon benefits from the inherently awesome articulation of the primary figure.

TOHO has revealed two members of the production staff for their upcoming new Godzilla project:
*The film will be written by Hideaki Anno, a long-time animator best known for the series Neon Genesis Evangalion.
*The film’s director (and special effects expert) is Shinji Higuchi, a veteran of several previous project- including the 1990’s GAMERA trilogy.
The new Godzilla film is currently scheduled for release in 2016. Stay tuned to TokuNation for further details!
Though they aren’t quite as clear as the high quality scans we’ve gotten used to, a fresh batch of Detail of Heroes scans have popped up online showcasing the next rider for Drive, Kamen Rider Chaser!
Chaser of course is the former Proto-Drive & Mashin Chaser of the series and with his new status as a rider comes the equipment of one as well. A Mach Driver & Chaser Shift Bike of his own as well as the massive Signal Axe weapon. Look for Kamen Rider Chaser to debut on Kamen Rider Drive in the coming month!
