S.H. MonsterArts Godzilla (2014) Official Images

Posted on May 30, 2014 at 3:38 am by ZeoRangerV under Godzilla

The Bandai Tamashii Nations website has uploaded full galleries of its forthcoming September releases, and kicking things off is S.H. MonsterArts Godzilla (2014), based off of the King of Monsters’ appearance in the brand new Godzilla film from Legendary Pictures.

Stomping in for a price of 7344 yen, according to his official page Godzilla sadly features no additional accessories. While he is scheduled for a September release in Japan, Bluefin Tamashii Nations will likely follow with an October release in the US. We’ll keep you updated when this is confirmed.

In the meantime, check out the official images after the jump!

S.H. Figuarts Gaim & Baron Released, Video & Photo Reviews Online!

Posted on May 29, 2014 at 3:06 pm by Paladin under Kamen Rider

The first members of the Zawame City Rider War have finally made their way to out! S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Gaim & Baron are released in stores at last!

The Hacchaka Blog gives us an excellent photo gallery of Gaim, revealing that his release uses the older-style Figuart hand instead of the new “storage-tray” models first seen in the recent Kamen Rider Kabuto Renewal.

Meanwhile, Youtube reviewer k2eizo has put up two brief video reviews of these excellent new figures! Check them both out:

Arms Change AC13 Kiwami Arms Gaim Image!

Posted on May 29, 2014 at 11:01 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

After the reveal of Kamen Rider Gaim Kiwami Arms via Magazine scans this week, we knew inevitably toy reveals were coming soon. But there’s also a bit of a shocker in this image.

In the magazine scans which have surfaced in the last few days we see that by using the Kiwami Key Gaim can unlock a secondary mode of the Kachidoki Lock Seed. Also seen in scans his Kachidoki Armor then “casts off“, Kamen Rider Kabuto style, to reveal Kiwami Arms beneath it. It appears this has been carried over to the Arms Change figure as well!

AC13 Kiwami Arms Gaim includes cast off Kachidoki Armor to reveal Kiwami beneath it! For what is speculated to be the last retail release of the Arms Change line it’s certainly going out with a bang!

LOCK ON!

The latest Premum Bandai Lock Seed set to go up for pre order features the main villain from the Heisei VS Showa movie: Armored Rider Fifteen and the official images of this set have finally gone up.

Rather than being based on a fruit, this unique Lock Seed appears to borrow more of a skeletal motif and the set itself which includes both Lock Seed and Face Plate is scheduled to ship out this August 2014 for a surprisingly wallet friendly price of of 2160 yen.

Talkin Toku Podcast Episode 010 Released – Mighty Morphin Gojira Reboot

Posted on May 28, 2014 at 4:00 pm by Chris under Godzilla, Power Rangers, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates

Before the epic crossover with our friends at RangerCommand comes out, we have some movie stuff to talk about!  Join Chris (@rankal), Jordan (@DenO_TokuNation), and Tom (@SoulInkChu) as they discuss the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie reboot that was announced a couple weeks back, and then stick around as they discuss everything about the blockbuster hit Godzilla.

NOTE!  If you haven’t seen the new Godzilla movie, this podcast episode contains INCREDIBLY DETAILED SPOILERS!  If you do not wish to be spoiled, do not listen to this episode.  Or at least turn the Godzilla portion on mute!

Episode details – the boys talk Mighty Morphin Power Rangers reboot, and two of the three podcasters think the movie will be a blockbuster flop.  Hear their reasons as to why and as the lone podcaster who is hopeful tries his best to defend the franchise and the possible success of the movie.  The boys then talk Godzilla – including the overall story of the movie, what worked and didn’t work, their favorite parts, and what monsters they’d like to see Godzilla take on in a sequel.  There’s also a moment where Tom gets a little too excited about his trip to Japan and … well … you just have to hear it for yourself.

Once you’ve listened to the episode, feel free to discuss it here on the TokuNation.com forums.  And stay till the end of the episode to hear a special promo for the upcoming crossover with Ranger Command Power Hour.  Part 1 will focus discussion on the pro’s and con’s of American tokusatsu, namely Power Rangers, while part 2 (the next episode of Talkin Toku) will feature the pro’s and con’s of Japanese tokusatsu, namely Super Sentai and Kamen Rider.  See you then, and take a listen to the episode below!

Let’s Watch Wednesdays Week 1 Kamen Rider Den-O 1-3

Posted on May 28, 2014 at 10:02 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

Ore Sanjou!

Let’s Watch Wednesdays has arrived at a new station. No this isn’t ToQger, but there are plenty of trains and heroes involved. This week we begin our journey through time with Kamen Rider Den-O! Will the next station be the past or future?

Meet Ryutarto Nogami, just a lighthearted accident prone guy with a streak of bad luck. But one whose destined to be special after he encounters a mysterious pass to the train of time, Den-Liner. This chance encounter will give birth to Kamen Rider Den-O! The Imagin, invaders from the future, have appeared. Beings which force contracts with those they posses. Their goal? To grant one wish to those they posses, but in return the hosts’ time and past are stolen.

But at least one of these guys is here for another reason. He just doesn’t care. Give him what he wants or not, he’s here for a good fight. Momotaros is here to posses Den-O and give him his true power! The first (or second) of Den-O’s many forms is born, Sword Form! Join Momotaros, Ryutaro, Naomi, Hana, Owner, and all the rest on this crazy trip through time with Kamen Rider Den-O!

And starting with this week, we’ll try to drop fun facts in for our viewings based on the episodes given. Den-O Fun Fact #1, the actor who would later go on to portray Sid/Kamen Rider Sigurd, Kazuki Namioka, in Kamen Rider Gaim made his first appearance in a Kamen Rider series in episode 3 of Den-O!

So grab your pass and come on over to our weekly discussion thread by clicking “Discuss on The TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. This is going to be one wild ride, with more time travelling twists than you can think of! Kamen Rider Den-O has arrived!
