Tsuburaya Productions has released a trailer for the next entry in the Ultraman! franchise!

This is our introduction to Ultraman Arc–

When a Kaiju horn falls to Earth, monsters begin appearing across the world. Following this K-DAY event a group called the Scientific Kaiju Investigation & Prevention Center does their best to prevent more disasters. An imaginative man named Yuma (who survived a kaiju encounter at a young age) joins SKIP out of a desire to protect the people. Armed with the Arc Cube & Arc Ariser Yuma becomes the Giant of Light– Ultraman Arc!

Ultra veteran Takanori Tsujimoto will direct this series, with Jun Tsugita serving as head writer.

Ultraman Arc begins July 6 2024!

under Kamen Rider

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of Kamen Rider Gaim, Bandai and Tamashii Nations have selected the next entries in their Shinkocchou Seihou series of S.H. Figuarts and it is none other than the two main characters of Kamen Rider Gaim!

Featuring all new molds with pinless joints, the Shinkocchou Seihou series of S.H. Figuarts allows your favorite characters to reach new levels of realism and posability like never before!  Unique to this release (but similar features in previous Shinkocchou Seihou releases as well as the Kamen Rider Geats series of S.H. Figuarts) is the ability for the figures to swap their armor, similar to the gimmick of Kamen Rider Gaim which was “Arms Change”, where each character would receive the armor of the Lock Seed they used on their Sengoku Driver.

Official listings have yet to go up as of the time of this posting, but Kamen Rider Gaim looks to be 9900 yen and Kamen Rider Baron looks to be 11,000 yen with an August 2024 pending release.

Tonight was Toei’s annual Super Sentai press conference- introducing the world to the 48th Super Sentai team, the Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger!

The initial Boonboomger team consists of:

*BunRed/Taiya Hando portrayed by Haruhi Iuchi– a young man with a burning heart and a passion for cars; he has a hobby of rebuilding and customizing his special vehicle.

*BunBlue/Ishiro Meita played by Yuki Hayama is the teams’ technical expert with a wide array of knowledge who always acts in a professional manner.

*BunPink/Mirai Shifuto portrayed by Suzuki Miu– she is described as a bright and intelligent woman with a tendency to drive off anywhere she finds interesting.

At least two more members will join as the series goes on:

*BunBlack/Jou Akuse played by Saito Ryu– a rookie cop with a serious nature and a history of “comedic” incidents.

*BunOrange/Gemba Bureki portrayed by Satoru Soma described as a gentle but elusive man able to obtain anything he wants from others.

The lives of the Boonboomgers are changed forever thanks to the intervention of Boondorio Boonderas– a strange car shaped alien who crash-landed on Earth and now lives in BunRed’s garage supplying the team with weapons and gear. In combat, Boondorio becomes the main body of Boonboomger Robo. The character will be voiced by veteran VA Rica Matsumoto– who will also perform the ending theme song for the series.

The Boonboomgers will fight against the Space Mafia Hishiriyan! Three Generals from the group were introduced-

*Decotrade (voiced by Junichi Suwabe) is the aggressive troublesome warrior who dreams of advancing in the organization.

*Itasha (voiced by Nana Mizuki is another ambitious soldier.

*Yaiyai Yarker (voiced by Sumire Morohoshi may be the strangest member of the Generals, lacking a humanoid frame & instead appearing as a vehicular body.

The next Kamen Rider Complete Series by the good people at Shout Factory! has been announced!

2022’s Kamen Rider Geats will be receiving a full Blu-Ray release with official English subtitles.

Kamen Rider Geats: The Complete Series is currently scheduled for release on April 23 2024. The price is currently $79.99 before shipping and handling!

under Power Rangers

ThreeZero is going stronger than before with their latest announcement – the upcoming release of the Power Rangers Zeo team as part of their FigZero collection!  FigZero releases from ThreeZero are roughly 12 inch figures with plenty of articulation and accessories.  This is the first release of an official Power Rangers figure outside of Mighty Morphin from ThreeZero.

The FigZero Power Rangers Zeo Five Pack will include a set of hand accessories only available in the five pack.  On top of that, each Zeo Ranger will come with their signature weapon as well as six swappable hands.  This five pack will open for pre-order on January 16th.  Because of the exclusivity of an accessory with the five pack, we imagine the Zeo Rangers will also see individual release.

The FigZero Power Rangers Zeo Five Pack will release sometime in Q2 of 2024 (roughly May through July).

under Power Rangers

The term “third party” may be something foreign to a lot of Power Rangers fans but for fans of other popular properties (like Transformers) it is a window into a different side of collecting, receiving toys or figures that likely are never created for mass market by the official companies.  However, third party companies are UNLICENSED, meaning the figures you’re about to see are NOT sanctioned by Hasbro.  However, due to the lack of any official product releasing from Hasbro for Power Rangers now or in the foreseeable future, we’re showcasing these upcoming items.

Third party toy company SoosooToys has announced their first four figures in 1:6 scale (so roughly 12 inches) for Power Rangers.  And to the surprise of everybody, these are figures NOT based on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, but arguably some of the most popular “sixth” or “extra” Power Rangers over the 30 years of the franchise.  These figures are all expected in the 2nd quarter of 2024 (so between May 2024 and July 2024).

– Son of Triforia (Zeo Gold Ranger)
– Green Shuriken Warrior (Ninja Storm Green Samurai Ranger)
– Black Aba Warrior (Dino Thunder Black Ranger)
– Aba Assassin (Dino Thunder White Ranger)

Another entry in to the Mezco One:12 Collective series for Power Rangers is upon us.  Announced today via Mezco is their upcoming One:12 Collective Mighty Morphin Power Rangers White Ranger figure.  Similar to their previous Mighty Morphin Power Rangers One:12 Collective releases, this figure is in 1:12 scale (or roughly 6 inches), has a soft-goods costume, tons of articulation, and tons of accessories.  Those accessories include:

– 5+ swappable sets of hands
– 2 variations of Saba (short, extended) as well as laser-beam eyes Saba and a removable holster
– 4 effects pieces for Saba
– The Sword of Light (to help swap powers during those pesky peace conferences)
– 4 Sword of Light effects pieces

We have the first scans of the 48th Super Sentai series Bakuage Sentai BoonBoomger!

These early images depict three heroes from this new team:

*BoonRed is a positive hero with a passionate heart and a strong competitive side.
*BoonBlue is a reliable fighter whose skills increase as he faces new challenges
*BoonPink is perpetually curious and energized with a determination to boost everyone’s morale.

The BoonBoomgers will face off against the evil group Hashiryan– which translates to Street Racers.

Two pieces of the BoonBoomgers’ arsenal are on display in the scans:

*The BoonBoom Changer– a wrist mounted henshin device
*The BoonBoom Handle– a wheel shaped weapon with Gun and Rod configurations.

In case you missed it, we first caught wind of the next Super Sentai series via trade mark bot listing not that long ago, and finally now have our first official look at next year’s series via a new promotional image for Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger courtesy of this official promotional poster via tv-asahi‘s official web site which just recently went live, the poster offers us our first looks at the Red, Blue, and Pink rangers of the group as well as a bit of casting info via the official portal;

Atsuhiro Tomioka will be handling the script work for the series, while Shojiro Nakazawa will be in charge of directing, and Jun Watanabe will be responsible for action sequences.

Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger is set to premire on Sunday, March 3 2024 with its main themes being cars and creation. Additional casting info is currently not known at the time of this writing, though we’ll be sure to update you once this information becomes available.

under Power Rangers, Super Sentai

Arguably one of the most exciting accessories to a Super Sentai/Power Rangers character in the last twenty years is getting released as part of the Memorial Edition subline for Super Sentai.  The D-Sword Vega, weapon of Deka Master from Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger – or the Shadow Saber for the Shadow Ranger from Power Rangers SPD – has been officially announced by Bandai along with a price and release date.

The Memorial D-Sword Vega features a blade roughly three feet in length, working LEDs, and sounds and music from Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger.  The price is listed for 19,800 yen with a release date tentatively set or August 2024.  Pre-orders begin December 1st in Japan.  Due to Hasbro’s copyrights, this item will NOT see a domestic release, so you will have to import if you want to add it to your collection.
