Tokkei Winspector: S.H. Figuarts Fire Gallery

Posted on January 25, 2016 at 10:15 am by Den-O under Metal Heroes

Mayday, mayday, SOS!

It’s been a long time coming but Tamashii Nations is finally back with a brand new Metal Hero release with S.H. Figuarts Fire! The primary hero of the series Tokkei Winspector, Fire is scaled down here in all his glory. While the figure may be a bit light on accessories, he does still included his signature Max Calibur arm blade and the standard sidearm of the Winspector trio, the transforming Daytric M2! Luckily Fire is also the perfect size to work with any vintage Winspector toys you may have lying around like those featured in our gallery. Bikel’s Winchaser & the DX Winsquad/Firesquad!

We’ve attached a small selection of images to this post. But feel free to click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to be taken to a full gallery of over 75 images of S.H. Figuarts Fire! And don’t forget to speak with your Tamashii Web Exclusive middleman soon as well about getting orders in for S.H. Figuarts Bikel!

While you’re at it please do yourself a favor and give Tokkei Winspector a watch. Friend of the site and all around great person @WeeabooShogun on twitter has been blazing through subbing the series for the first time ever for the last year. Until recently Metal Heroes weren’t picked by sub-groups very often so it’s truly a treat to see this one given the proper attention it deserves. Head on over to the Sailor Otaku Weablog for links to episodes!

Power Rangers Dino Supercharge Purple Ranger 5 Inch Gallery

Posted on January 11, 2016 at 10:00 am by Chris under Power Rangers

It’s a new year and thus a new toy line is available for your favorite Power Rangers series! That’s right – Power Rangers Dino Charge is now Power Rangers Dino Supercharge and the toys are hitting all major retailers across the country (in various assortments that are causing collectors headaches … but we’ll touch on that at a later time!).

One of the sought after figures from the first wave is none other than the Purple Ranger, who made her debut in the season finale of Power Rangers Dino Charge. With thanks to our friend @doughwatchin on Twitter for helping us locate this figure (again, distribution and assortment selection is killing us), we present to you 40 images of some serious girl power!

How does she fare when compared to her mold counterpart the Pink Dino Charge Ranger? Check out our full review, along with the gallery, by either clicking here or clicking on the “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” link at the bottom of the post! Share your thoughts on this new figure!

BOOM! Studios’ Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Issue 00 – Full Review

Posted on January 7, 2016 at 11:35 am by Chris under Power Rangers

It’s almost here! The very first issue of the new on-going Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comic book, published by BOOM! Studios, releases on January 13th, 2016. We were fortunate enough to be given a special preview of this monumental first issue and have written up a review!

It’s the first day back at school for our heroes and more importantly it’s the first day back at school for the recently freed-from-mind-control Tommy, aka the Green Ranger. But as our green hero quickly learns, one can never just walk away from the Rita Repulsa without some serious side effects. Can Tommy overcome the visions he’s having and focus on saving the world? Or will his hangover from being the evil Green Ranger eventually doom him, his friends, and innocent civilians? The answer may surprise you…

Check out all eight available covers, all the publishing information, and our review by clicking “Read More”!

S.H. Figuarts Red Buster Gallery 2.0 – FINAL Toku Toy Box Entry!

Posted on January 3, 2016 at 4:35 pm by Den-O under Contests and Giveaways, Super Sentai, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

We’ve come to the end folks! With only one day left before we announce the winner of Toku Toy Box we’re officially posting our last gallery for the competition today! Tomorrow we’ll be featuring a roundup of all eligible entries for this years giveaway. But for now we’re going to take a look at our final entry, S.H. Figuarts Red Buster Gallery 2.0!

While Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters was not fondly looked upon by many fans it’s still a personal favorite of mine. Much like the series many people were turned off by the Red Buster figuart. Admittedly he’s not perfect, thanks to the limited upper arm movement and especially difficult to swap hands. But Red Buster more than captures the look of it’s on screen counterpart and includes a wealth of accessories like the Sougan Blade, Ichigan Buster, & the combined Ichigan Buster Special Buster Mode! While imperfect Red Buster is still an admirable release that goes for some pretty rock bottom prices. Anyone looking to fill out their Super Sentai displays should definitely pick this one up!

We’ve attached a selection of images to this post but we’ve assembled a full review and over 60 images of S.H. Figuarts Red Buster after the jump. Just click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this page to see them all! And remember this is your FINAL chance to qualify for the Toku Toy Box Giveaway! That means all you have to do is post something relevant to the conversation and you’re entered for a chance to win!

Power Rangers Dino Charge 5 Inch Sledge Gallery – Toku Toy Box Entry

Posted on January 1, 2016 at 8:54 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

He will stop at NOTHING to get the Energems from the Power Rangers Dino Charge, including becoming an articulated toy for children! Releasing initially in the final wave of the Power Rangers Dino Charge 5″ figure line as well as being repackaged for one of many (someone at Bandai America is trolling collectors with the current distribution of toys) different waves in the first release of the 5″ Power Rangers Dino Supercharge figures, he’s the first original villain to receive a toy in a mainline release in … a very long time!

This gallery is also part of our Toku Toy Box Giveaway eligible threads! In fact, Sledge is one of the figures that’s included in the Power Rangers prize portion of the giveaway! Be sure to click here for full details and prizes so you don’t miss a chance to win!

Check out 40 images of Power Rangers Dino Charge 5″ Sledge as well as our review of the figure. Don’t forget to post in the thread so you can enter in Toku Toy Box! Not a member? That’s an easy fix – simply click here to register and begin posting! Registration is free, your personal information is protected, and we never E-mail you with our news/updates. Power Rangers Dino Charge 5 Inch Sting Rage Gallery – Toku Toy Box Entry

Posted on December 31, 2015 at 2:18 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

It’s time for another entry in our annual Toku Toy Box Giveaway! This gallery is part of that contest and, by commenting in it, allows you a chance to enter to win one of our four grand prizes! Today’s gallery takes a look at one of the villains from Power Rangers Dino Charge, the villainous Sting Rage who can inflict rage upon his victims once they’ve been stung by his stinger! But don’t worry – this figure (unlike some of the other villains) isn’t going to fill you with rage! In fact, it may even put a smile on your face. Check out over 25 images as well as our review by clicking right here! Post in the thread and enter in our Toku Toy Box Giveaway!

Kamen Rider Black RX: S.H. Figuarts Ridoron Gallery – Toku Toy Box Entry

Posted on December 30, 2015 at 10:46 pm by Den-O under Contests and Giveaways, Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

Just in time for the end of the year we have another behemoth Rider Machine to review! Not to be entirely outdone by Kamen Rider Drive’s Tridoron,[/URL] the late Showa classic Kamen Rider Black RX swoops in with this massive release to round out the year. S.H. Figuarts Ridoron!

The Ridoron, much like Black RX’s other ally Acrobatter, is a sentient machine that allied itself with RX in the battle against Crisis Empire. The Ridoron figuart is yet another excellent huge addition to the line following in the footsteps of other big releases like Machine Itasha & Tridoron. This one is a very straightforward release with no real accessories aside from the antennae you need to attach. However Ridoron does feature some excellent action features in the form of spring-loaded mandibles in the front bumper and functional turbines in the rear!

S.H. Figuarts Ridoron is another welcome addition to any Kamen Rider Black or Black RX collection. Feel free to check out over 30 images of Ridoron as well as a full review by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post.  And remember that this gallery qualifies you for entry in our Toku Toy Box Giveaway! That means all you have to do is post something relevant to the conversation and you’re entered for a chance to win!
