Power Rangers Dino Charge 5 Inch Spellbinder Gallery

Posted on November 28, 2015 at 10:00 am by Chris under Power Rangers

We’ve reached the final assortment in the 5″ figure line from Power Rangers Dino Charge before we start seeing the releases of the 5″ line of Power Rangers Dino Supercharge. In this final assortment are the rest of the villains that have been previewed since early 2015 by Bandai America.

Today we take a look at Spellbinder. While he LOOKS cool with beautiful sculpting, can the figure with limited articulation, paint applications, and no accessories succeed in putting a spell on us? Click the Discuss on TokuNation forums link and see 17 high definition images and a review on this villainous figure!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Proto-Drive Gallery

Posted on November 24, 2015 at 12:08 am by Den-O under Conventions, Kamen Rider, Other Conventions

“While the rest of the world was frozen, there was one person fighting to save us.”

Before the Roidmudes came in full force & Shinnosuke Tomari took up the mantle of Kamen Rider his predecessor roamed the streets saving the world in secret. Today we take a look at a long awaited release, a recent Tamashii Nations 2015 exclusive, S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Proto-Drive!

A remold/repaint of the Drive Type Speed Figuart, Proto-Drive represents the initial form taken by Chase before his transformation into the Roidmude reaper Mashin Chaser. A simply gorgeous figure Proto-Drive comes in the same basic box as Type Speed & also brings with it a rather lackluster accessory count. But the figure more than makes up for it with pure style. While Proto-Drive may not have all the bells & whistles of a standard release it looks stunning and will more than compliment any Kamen Rider Drive collection. Plus he just looks right at home on the Ride Chaser!

We’ve assembled over 40 images of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Proto-Drive after the jump. Click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to see the full gallery and review!

Premium Bandai Ranger Key EX Metal Heroes Edition Revealed!

Posted on November 5, 2015 at 6:46 pm by Den-O under Metal Heroes

Premium Bandai has been on a Ranger Key kick this year with announcements of sets like the Sentai Lost Legend & ToQger Rainbow keys. Today brings yet another awesome reveal with the introduction of the Ranger Key EX Metal Heroes Edition Set!

This incredible new set will contain the primary Metal Hero of every series fromg Uchuu Keiji Gavan up through Blue Swat! A premium set of Metal Hero key previously released in conjunction with Super Hero Taisen Z contains the other lead heroes absent from this set. The following are included:

-Gavan
-Sharivan
-Shaider
-Juspion
-Spielban
-Metalder
-Fire
-Solbraver
-Swat Sho
-Gavan Type G

Curiosuly that’s yet another set of Metal Hero keys where Toei has conveniently forgotten the final 2 series of the franchise. B-Robo Kabutack, which shared a crossover with both B-Fightes. And the follow-up to Kabutack, Tetsuwan Tantei Robotack. Perhaps those keys will be released eventually. For now the EX Metal Hero Key set will retail for 13,500 yen and be released in February!

Power Rangers Dino Charge 5 Inch Curio Gallery

Posted on November 3, 2015 at 7:11 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

For whatever reason, Bandai America refuses to give us a Poisandra figure. But they’ve done the next best thing and given us her robotic created best buddy in Curio!

Rounding out the first wave of villains in the Power Rangers Dino Charge 5″ figure line, Curio represents everything good – and everything bad – with the villain figures! Check out over 20 images and a review of the little guy who stares in to your soul by clicking here!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider 3 Gallery

Posted on November 2, 2015 at 10:28 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

 Who’s That Guy?

Why he’s the titular antagonist turned hero of Super Hero Tasien GP, and today we take a look at him in figure form as S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider 3! Rider 3 as a character originated in the 1972 Manga Kamen Rider 3 vs. General Black but his existence was largely forgotten for 40+ years until Taisen GP where the character was tweaked to create the modern version.

And wow is that a modernized suit! In essence Rider 3 looks to have the basic Showa Shin Rider 1/2 design as a base but with a pseudo-S.I.C. aesthetic draped over it. Producing a unique design that hearkens back to the days of the Kamen Rider The First & The Next films. Rider 3 manages to look angular and modern but has all the hallmarks of his Showa brethren allowing him to fit seamlessly into any Showa or Heisei display. With the inclusion of a couple just perfect effect parts you have a nice and tidy package of a figure that’s sure to please.

We’ve assembled over 50 images of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider 3, though only a handful are attached to this post. To see the entire gallery and read up on our in depth review of the figure, click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post.

Sound off in our ongoing discussion of all the reveals from this show by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post.

Ghost Change Kamen Rider Ghost Ore Damashii Gallery

Posted on October 30, 2015 at 4:35 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Eyes Open!

There’s no time like the present! And before the full high resolution reveal of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Ghost takes place at this weekends’  Tamashii Nations event, we figured it would be the perfect time to share our gallery of the Ghost Change GC-01 Kamen Rider Ghost Ore Damashii!

Kamen Rider Ghost is about a month into it’s run and several of the initial gimmick figures have already made there way out to retail. As a starter GC-01 Ghost does an admirable job of recreating the series gimmick, the transforming “Damashiis”.  Ghost includes his default Ore Damashii as well as a non-transforming version of his Gan Gun Saber. And while it’s not too bad for gimmick line toy, it does leave much to be desired. GC-01 Ghost Ore Damashii seems to be channeling a little bit of Arms Change in it’s design but doesn’t quite nail it. I’ll give them credit though, I just wish it could have been a little bit better overall. Check out the full review for more details.

And be sure to check out a video review of Ghost Change Kamen Rider Ghost by my good friend and frequent collaborator Baltmatrix!

We’ve attached a selection of images to this post but read on after the jump for a full review and 45 image gallery of Ghost Change GC-01 Kamen Rider Ghost Ore Damashii!

The first day of the show has wound down but Tamashii Nations 2015 will go on through this weekend. We’ve had a ton of reveals up to this point but a LOT more are apparently on the way as more sections of the show are made available to the general public. A portion of the rumored figures list comes from The Ghouly News, but still take it with a bit of salt as we can’t confirm some of these figures yet. Thanks to some teaser images released by Bandai we have at least a few confirmed things to look forward to:

S.H. Figuarts
Ultra Seven
Ultraman Zoffy
Ultraman Ace
Ultraman jack
