under Power Rangers

The power is on once again as TokuNation showcases another in it’s ongoing series of toy galleries focusing on the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Movie! We’ve taken a look at 5 figures so far in Bandai of America’s Power Rangers 5″ Legacy Line for the film and today we’re taking a look at the last of the 5 core rangers, the Legacy Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Movie Yellow Ranger!

As with our previously reviewed Movie Rangers this figure marks the first time ever that the Movie Yellow Ranger has been portrayed properly in toy form. While nicely detailed the articulation is a mixed bag though the accessories partially make up for this. The Legacy Movie Yellow Ranger specifically comes with her Power Blaster sidearm as well as a holster for it. In addition to this is the movie exclusive Power Beam helmet! Allowing Aisha to shine bright head lamps from the Sabretooth Tiger’s eyes the toy replicates the look of this alternate helmet, without the lights of course. We break down the ins and outs of this figure, both positive & negative, in the review after the jump.

Tamashii’s main page has updated with a few images of September 2015 releases.

The most interesting item listed is SH Figuarts Kamen Rider Kivala! Kivala is a Rider with only ONE on-screen appearance, occurring in Kamen Rider Movie War 2010.

At the time of writing, Kivala appears to be a mass-release figure. Price details are not yet confirmed. Stay tuned to TokuNation for further details!

TokuNation is back to action with a new installment in our ongoing series of toy galleries focusing on the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Movie! We’ve taken a look at 4 figures so far in Bandai of America’s Power Rangers 5″ Legacy Line for the film and today we look at a another, The Legacy Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Movie Blue Ranger!

As with our previously reviewed Movie Rangers this figure marks the first time ever that the Movie Blue Ranger has been portrayed properly in toy form. While nicely detailed the articulation is a mixed bag though the accessories partially make up for this. The Legacy Movie Blue Ranger specifically comes with his Power Blaster sidearm as well as a holster and the Stega Stinger! A grappling hook device used briefly by Billy in the film. under Kamen Rider, Super Sentai

Toei has opened an official page for this years’ Super Hero Time summer movie double-bill, featuring Kamen Rider Drive and Shuriken Sentai Ninninger!

At the time of writing, very few details are known about these new films. A brief teaser has been uploaded online, which gives us a release date of August 8 2015.

With pre orders closing next month for the ACPB08 Proto-Sukia Arms and Baron Taboo Arms set, Premium Bandai released a new briefly demonstrating the transformation for both figures:

Pre Orders for the set will be closing on May 17th 2015 with a shipping date sometime in July, the set retails for 7,560 yen.

This one is for the ultimate collectors, those with deep pockets, or those who fancy solid gold objects of their favorite toku heroes.

The precious metals dealer in Japan, Tokuriki Honten, is set to unveil and begin taking purchases of their upcoming solid gold statues of the original Kamen Rider at the upcoming Spring Gem Association meeting held April 24th and 25th. Available in two sizes, 3.94 inches or 7.87 inches, these extremely limited and extremely valuable items will be made to order and could be at your doorstep by the end of the year. The only thing stopping you? The price – look for a whopping $6,460.69 for the small statue, and an overwhelming $46,567.28 for the larger statue.

Anyone want to do a group buy? We can take turns having it in our collections one month at a time. Anyone?

The popular mobile button mashing game Power Rangers Dash, created by movegames and originally available in Asian countries, is now available in the United States on both major phone operating systems – Android and, released within the last 24 hours, on iTunes.

The game is free to play (with monetary purchases available in-game) and features a cast of characters from various Power Rangers series – but currently only Power Rangers Dino Charge, Power Rangers Super Megaforce, Power Rangers Wild Force, Power Rangers Samurai, Power Rangers Operation Overdrive, Power Rangers Mystic Force, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and the Omega Ranger from Power Rangers S.P.D..

Currently, to celebrate the release of the game on iTunes, you will receive 50,000 coins for playing the game. This gives you, basically, 100 different tries at grabbing all the various Power Rangers available but it will be totally random (and duplicates will be a-plenty). under Ultraman

While we’ve had little to go on up to this point other than a trademark filing, we finally have our first look at Tsuburaya’s upcoming production Ultraman X!

Though we don’t have information on the plot and characters of the series yet, you can infer from the teaser that Spark Dolls may still play a role and what appears to be some form of collectible cards may as well. An armored power up for our titular hero Ultraman X as well as franchise favorite kaiju Gomora are also shown.
