S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Heart Type Miracle Gallery

Posted on July 28, 2017 at 6:13 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“Fire All Core. Drive, Type Miracle!”

In an attempt to revive his fallen friend, Gou Shijima managed to do the impossible& revive one of the most powerful Roidmudes ever, Heart! Simultaneously Gou managed to merge the Cores of Medic & Brain into Heart’s new body. Uniting their hearts and Cores together these 3 Roidmudes became the Kamen Rider to surpass even Drive. Debuting in the Heart/Mach v-Cinema, and finally available in figure form, it’s S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Heart Type Miracle!

Kamen Rider Heart as you’ll undoubtedly notice, is heavily based on Drive’s own Type Tridoron form. Much like the suit in the movie, this figure reuses a majority of Tridoron’s parts. But the new components incorporated into the body are derived from Heart’s original Roidmude form. It’s an odd fusion, but one that somehow works very well. While this is a pretty sparse release, Heart Type Miracle still has plenty of charm to it. Now if we could just get the mismatched Type Speed/Wild/Technic from Bandai, then all of Hearts’ forms would be represented in this line.

We’ve attached a selection of images to this post, but you can view the complete 60+ image gallery after the jump. SDCC 2017 – Super Sentai & Kamen Rider Inspired Figures from 1000 Toys

Posted on July 20, 2017 at 1:54 pm by Den-O under General Tokusatsu News, San Diego Comic Con

Here’s something a bit different, and more akin to the third party offerings many Transformers fans have access to these days. 1000 Toys is a company largely known for their excellent 1/12 Scale TOA Heavy Industries Synthetic Humans, which you can order from our site sponsor BBTS using that link. Now they’re taking a stab in a different direction with some figures heavily inspired by Super Sentai & Kamen Rider!

These new Synthetic Human sublines, “Nextman Synth” & “Knight of Synth” share the same basic engineering as the Heavy Industries figures, with a little toku sensibility mixed in. The seemingly rider themed Nextman figures are named Cyclone, Fusion, & Future. Each retailing for $80 USD. Their pizza themed sentai-inspired heroes are also on display. These guys appear to be based on figures originally created by Youtube pairing Toy Pizza. You may also be familiar with the Mecha Zone Pizzanuats figures based on these designs. The green knight is Lime, red is Brick, blue is Teal, and the black one is Death Knight. Each of these is also $80 USD.

S.H. Figuarts Space Sheriff Gavan Type G (Space Squad) Gallery

Posted on July 18, 2017 at 5:47 pm by Den-O under Metal Heroes, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“Let’s leave light in the dust!”

2017 is shaping up to be the year of the Metal Heroes! The momentum for this new golden age of Toei’s 3rd big franchise started in 2012, with Gavan Vs Gokaiger which set the precedent for future Metal Hero/Sentai crossovers. Flash forward to 2017 with the release of Space Squad: Gavan Vs Dekaranger and we get a brand new figuart as well, S.H. Figuarts Space Sheriff Gavan Type G Space Squad Version!

The Space Squad version of Gavan Type G is meant to be a renewal of sorts for the old original mold. One that was riddled with quality issues. I’m happy to report though that this time around, Gavan Type G is much improved physically! One big thing that really sets this release apart from the first though is the new Laser Blade Origin. A powerful new weapon that forged on Juspions’ home world. And luckily we get 3 variations of this new weapon.

We’ve attached a mere selection of the full gallery to this post. If you click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post then you can view over 100 images of Gavan Type G and the various heroes of Space Squad!

S.H. Figuarts Hardboilder (Renewal) Gallery

Posted on July 15, 2017 at 12:23 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

The butterfly effect of Bandai’s premium & popular Shinkocchou Seihou sub-line of Figuarts has finally reached Rider Machines! While not officially labeled as an S.S. release, the brand new S.H. Figuarts Hardboilder is undoubtedly a renewal meant to replace the original release of this bike.

Hardboilder is of course the faithful ride of Kamen Rider W, and a perfect companion piece to the Shinkocchou Seihou W Figuart released last year. While this renewal definitely won’t be as significantly different from the original as many others have been in recent years, it is on the whole a more accurate and well proportioned update.

We’ve attached a selection of images to this post, but you can see the full 40 image gallery after the jump. Just click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. We’ll be back soon with a brand new gallery from Space Sheriff Gavan!

Tamashii Nations Shanghai: Pacific Rim 2 Robot Damashii Gypsy Avenger Revealed!

Posted on July 6, 2017 at 11:06 am by Den-O under Conventions, General Tokusatsu News, Other Conventions

Tamashii Nations Shanghai is in full swing! You may recall that a couple months back we heard our first confirmation that Bandai/Tamashii Nations had finally acquired the license to produce toys for the Pacific Rim franchise. At the time the only offering previewed was a rough prototype of the Soul of Chogokin Gypsy Danger. But as of today we can get excited about one more upcoming product as well!

Shown off for the first time is the brand new Robot Damashii Gypsy Avenger from Pacific Rim 2! This successor to the original Gypsy Danger, piloted by the son of Stacker Pentecost, is so far the first product revealed for the highly anticipated sequel. But we’re sure it’s far form the last. For now this release doesn’t have any confirmed release details this far out from the films release on February 23rd, 2018, but we’ll certainly keep you updated as more details become available this year!

Now, let’s cancel the apocalypse!

S.H. Figuarts Over Evolved Heart Roidmude Gallery

Posted on July 1, 2017 at 9:38 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“You truly are the best opponent I could have asked for!”

The first of the Promised Number arrives in the S.H. Figuarts line up! An extensive and elaborate repaint of the original Heart Roidmude, this figure represents the charismatic villains ultimate evolution. This is S.H. Figuarts Over Evolved Heart Roidmude!

As mentioned above this figure is nothing more than a repaint of the original Heart Roidmude. So that does mean that the physical & functional shortcomings of this mold will still persist as they always have. However the glorious golden paint scheme, the dark paint wash, and bright purple used on Over Evolved Heart bring out all of it’s best details & personality. This figure may still be limited, but Heart has never looked better than he does here. He does however still have a very limited selection of accessories, just the same 3 sets of hands that came with the first release. Here’s hoping that eventually the Brain Roidmude prototype that was shown off a while back will be able to join Heart one day.

We’ve attached a selection of images to this post, but you check out the full 50 image gallery after the jump by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. Next time we’ll be back with a gallery from Kamen Rider W!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Mach Chaser Gallery

Posted on June 25, 2017 at 4:31 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“Fight with me, my greatest buddy!”

It’s time to search & destroy all at mach speed one more time! Kamen Rider Drive continues to be a merchandising juggernaut with new releases churned out from Bandai every quarter. Even now, nearly 3 years after the series finale. This go around we’re looking at the first new S.H. Figuart released from the series second V-Cinema, Drive Saga: Kamen Rider Mach/Kamen Rider Heart. Once again Bandai has managed to fashion a new form out of pre-existing molds to create S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Mach Chaser!

Not to be confused with last years’ Kamen Rider Chaser Mach, Mach Chaser is Gou’s final form. Accessed through a new Shift Ride Crosser (which is present in the Mach Driver), Mach Chaser is a new spin on what made Chaser Mach so great. This time the cohesion between the mishmash of Mach & Chaser parts is even greater though thanks to a solid new color scheme. As always Gou has his trusty Zenrin Shooter at his side, and this time he has the addition of a brand new zenrin effect part for curved slashes! If you loved Chaser Mach then there’s lots to love for you here with Mach Chaser as well. Drive as a franchise has been built on smart repaints and reuses of pre-existing designs, this is yet another wonderful execution of that ideology. And just a heads up, Mach Chaser does not come with a Signal Ax, the ones in these shots came from my Kamen Rider Chaser.

We’ve attached a selection of images to this post but you can view the full 80 image gallery by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. We’ll be back in the VERY near future with a pair of new galleries from Kamen Rider W & Space Sheriff Gavan!
