Ahead of the Lionsgate Power Rangers movie premiering in China on May 12th, a series of new posters have been released specifically catered to that market.  In place of the Zords, each of the Rangers is represented by animals of Chinese mythology(and a possible reference to the Thunder Zords) and those animals are as follows:

Red -Dragon

Blue-Qillin 

Black-Tortoise

Yellow-Tiger

Pink-Phoenix

In addition to this, Chinese Pop singer Dimash Kudaibergen will be performing a remix of the Power Rangers theme, you can have a listen to that track here:

You might be asking just how important the Chinese premier is to the success of the Power Rangers movie? The live-action Warcraft movie which came out last year only made $160 million domestically, but the Chinese market prevented it from being a total flop bringing in $220 million in that region. So while the Power Rangers movie may have had lackluster sales domestically, the film could make it’s money back with the Chinese premiere.

Lionsgate has finally announced details for the home release of their 2017 Power Rangers film! Now fans will finally have a chance to own this new era of Power Rangers lore!

*A Digital HD release will first be available on June 13, 2017.

*The full home media release (including DVD, Blu-Ray & 4K) will then take place on June 27, 2017.

The Power Rangers Movie is here and fans everywhere have lined up to see it once, twice, three times and more (personally I am at 4 times with a 5th time planned). And for those of us who have seen the movie multiple times you cannot help but to begin to notice all the little easter eggs sprinkled throughout. Some of them are obvious, some of them not so much. The numbers are in for the opening weekend for the new Power Rangers Movie. The Power Rangers worldwide opening weekend total is at $59.2 million dollars – with $40.5 million from a strong domestic release, and $18.7 million from a “muted” international release.

The movie cost roughly $100 million so a couple more strong weeks could help push the movie to break-even status. Fans will be watching with anticipation as the movie surpassed their expectations and a sequel is something many fans want to see happen.

If your clamouring for more Lionsgate Power Rangers, we got good news for you! BOOM! Comics just released a preview for their upcoming Power Rangers: Aftershock Graphic Novel set in the same movie universe.

In this original graphic novel, the Rangers will face a new enemy along with a new character whom may be friend, foe, or both. Power Rangers Aftershock is written by Ryan Parrot, with illustrations by Lucas Werneck.

Copies of Power Rangers: Aftershock will be going on March 28th in bookstores and March 29th for comic shops, the book will retail for $14.99, comic book stores will have the opportunity to pick up an exclusive variant cover via Diamond.

Lionsgate has released a full clip from the upcoming Power Rangers 2017 reboot film!

Titled ‘Real’, this video features the new team of Power Rangers making an important discovery.

Official release details to the Soundtrack for the upcoming Lionsgate Power Rangers Movie has been released via Soundtracklist.com

Along with this, three songs have been listed:

  • Go Go Power Rangers! (2017 Version) – Power Rangers Orchestra
  • I Walk The Line – Halsey
  • Sympathy For The Devil (Rolling Stones cover)

The soundtrack will be avalaible March 24 2017 digitally while the CD will be coming out April 7th 2017. Composing the soundtrack is Brian Tyler whom fans of the Transformers franchise will  recognize for his work from the Transformers: Prime soundtrack.
