Power Rangers Super Megaforce Episode 04 Preview Clip – A Lion’s Alliance

Posted on March 5, 2014 at 7:36 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

Power Rangers Megaforce and Super Megaforce were billed as being the “most expensive shows we’ve produced”, or so stated the parent company Saban Brands. It was also billed to be a tribute season, a true “anniversary” season to celebrate the history of Power Rangers. And finally, in this next episode titled, “A Lion’s Alliance”, we will get our first true reference to a previous season in the story line of the show when the Power Rangers Super Megaforce have to travel to the Animaria from Power Rangers Wild Force in order to receive their new ally – the powerful Red Lion Zord. Check out the gallery of the toy of Red Lion Zord by conundrum by clicking here.

Megabloks Legendary Megazord Gallery By conundrum

Posted on March 3, 2014 at 3:47 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers

After the announcement that Mattel would be purchasing Mega Brands this weekend, we thought it would be a perfect time to show you what the Megabloks line has to offer for Power Rangers Super Megaforce.

Photo & Content staff member conundrum was kind enough to pick up the Megabloks Legendary Megazord set and share some images with us. This set is significantly cheaper than previous Megabloks Megazords as well as significantly smaller at only 6″ tall. Composed of 100+ fewer pieces than larger Megazord sets, this one is right up the alley of the savvy buyer, looking for a great gift for their kids.

Check out conundrum’s full gallery by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post.

With special thanks once again to Fury Diamond of Samuraicast Blog, we’ve now seen our first official images of the Power Rangers Super Megaforce Mini Figures. They may be mini, but they look super cool – check out the pose of that Super Megaforce Red Ranger! These images were found on Toys’R’Us and these poses seem to mimic the popular poses from Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, so these are a great addition for fans of either Super Megaforce or Gokaiger.

Mattel Purchases Megabloks Parent Company Mega Brands

Posted on March 1, 2014 at 10:43 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

Wanting a piece of the huge success that is the LEGO Movie, competing toy company Mattel (best known for their major properties Barbie, Matchbox, Hot Wheels, and Masters of the Universe) has reached an agreement to purchase Mega Brands, the parent company of construction block company Megabloks, for a cool $480 million dollars. The construction block company Megabloks is best known for their popular series of LEGO-competing construction toys such as the Halo, World of Warcraft, and Power Rangers series of toys. They had also just launched their Call of Duty line for the company.

For fans of construction toys, this now brings a major financial powerhouse to back future projects for Megabloks against LEGO and Hasbro‘s fledgling (and now Toys’R’Us exclusive) KRE-O lines of construction toys. What this means for the future of Power Rangers Megabloks is unknown – it could go on as normal, it could be given increased financial backing, or it could be left behind in favor of promoting Mattel-owend properties such as Masters of the Universe and Hot Wheels.

This story was first reported by our sister site ToyArk.com, but articles can be found all over the Internet now as this deal is all but final. Discuss with us and share your thoughts!

Talkin Toku Episode 005 – Super Mega Episode – Released!

Posted on February 28, 2014 at 1:45 pm by Chris under Conventions, Power Rangers, Super Sentai, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, Toy Fair

After the release of Episode 04, “The Longest Hiatus”, the hosts of Talkin Toku at the Nation vowed to never let such a long hiatus happen again. And then Kickback’s computer blew up, and an unintentional delay occured – creating the new longest hiatus. To make up for it we’re bringing you an episode crammed full of discussion on the things you want to hear us talk about! After being challenged by a listener and a good friend, there is no dedicated talk to Kamen Rider Gaim in this episode. That’s right – NO JUICY FRUIT. Instead, we focus on the bigger items that occured … Toy Fair 2014 with Sentai Tamashii, who was there and provided a ton of the information and images that we put up! We spend the most time discussing Power Rangers Super Megaforce and its first episode premiere – and end the show tasting the trainbow with discussion on the premiere episode of Ressha Sentai ToQGer! Here’s a more specific run down!

  • Kickback’s computer woes
  • A News Brief to touch on a few items we didn’t have time to discuss in full
  • Sentai Tamashii’s first hand experience of Toy Fair 2014
  • Why Sentai Tamashii can’t be allowed to attend conventions anymore
  • Power Rangers Dino Charge and the skipping of Tokumei Sentai GoBusters
  • Our thoughts on the premiere of Power Rangers Super Megaforce
  • Our thoughts on the use of the suits of Gosei Sentai DaiRanger
  • Tasting the Trainbow with Ressha Sentai ToQGer’s Premiere
  • An inappropriate conclusion involving Super Mega, Sentai Tamashii, and his wife

Super Megaforce Wild Force Red Lion Zord Gallery by conundrum

Posted on February 27, 2014 at 9:19 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers

Wild Access!

The Power Ranger Super Megaforce dry spell has ended thanks to photo & content member conundrum! So with that we’re back with a brand new gallery, and this time it’s the Wild Force Red Lion Zord!

The Red Lion is of course based on the mighty Gao Lion from Gaoranger, specifically based on his Gokaiger version of the character and his DX toy. Red Lion like Gao Lion features two unique combos with the Legendary Megazord. One a centaur like mode that serves as the Power Rangers Wild Force homage. The other is a massive samurai armor form that pays homage to Power Rangers Samurai. So far these forms are unnamed in the show, the toy packaging hasn’t given a name for them either. Their Japanese counterparts are Gao Gokai Oh and Shinken Gokai Oh respectively.

Click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to see conundrum’s full gallery. And if you’re interested in the differences then check out our previous gallery of the DX Gokai Machine Gao Lion as well.

Entertainment Earth News – Power Rangers Super Megaforce Ranger Keys Wave 4 Listing

Posted on February 27, 2014 at 4:20 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

Our sponsors EntertainmentEarth.com have put up a new listing for an upcoming Power Rangers Super Megaforce item – the fourth wave of the popular Ranger Keys! To check out the listing and place your pre-order, simply click here! There’s a couple of question marks in our heads as we review the listing in detail:

  • Super Megaforce (Red, Blue, Green)
  • Megaforce (Red, Blue, Black)
  • Samurai (Red, Blue, Green)
  • Mystic Force (Red, Green, Yellow)
  • SPD (Red, Blue, Green)
  • Zeo (Red, Blue, Green)
  • Alien (Red, Blue, Black)
  • Dino Thunder (Red, Blue, Black)
  • Operation Overdrive (Red, Blue, Black)
  • Jungle Fury (Red, Blue, Yellow)
  • RPM (Red, Blue, Yellow)
  • Mighty Morphin Legendary Ranger Key Set B

The first question is … why is there a Zeo Ranger Green listed?  Everything we’ve seen and read before has Yellow listed (who is a female).  So which one is it Bandai?  There’s also the exclusion of the White Alien Ranger, who was the leader of the team, but was also female.  But just when you’re ready to start shouting sexism, you see RPM Yellow and Jungle Fury Yellow listed, who are both females as well.  And more importantly … where is Ranger Keys Wave 3?  Interesting times for sure!  Discuss away your thoughts on the new listing of Power Rangers Super Megaforce Ranger Keys!

Power Rangers Super Megaforce Ninja Zord on KMart.com

Posted on February 27, 2014 at 4:10 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

The first official listing for the upcoming Power Rangers Super Megaforce Ninja Zord has appeared on KMart.com! While this zord in specific is not one that many fans are looking forward to, the description of the item is leaving some fans scratching their head as to what Saban Brands and Bandai of America are planning. Part of the description reads as follows:

Enter battle with this powerful Zord and help the Power Rangers protect the Earth from evil! The Ninja Zord morphs between its Ninja form and the Megawinger mode to adapt during battle. The Ninja Zord comes with two Ranger Keys that can be inserted to activate a spinning Ninja blade!

For those who do not follow the history of Power Rangers, the name “Megawinger” comes from Power Rangers In Space and was the name of the personalized zord for the Silver Ranger. A previous picture of the Q-Rex Megazord, the personal zord of the Power Rangers Super Megaforce Silver Ranger, showed what appeared to be a shuriken-like wing on the back of the zord. Will this be a new combination for the Q-Rex Megazord using the Zord Builder configuration? Discuss away!

A special thanks to raz for sharing this information. Please be sure to check out his “Razzle’s Dazzles” blog for detailed information on upcoming Power Rangers merchandise!
