Hello toku fans! Once again TokuNation has passed a milestone in it’s history. January 5th 2014 marked our official 2 year anniversary. With our first anniversary we did something special, something to give back to this amazing community and the members that make it possible. So last year we came up with our Toku Toy Box giveaway, where a few lucky members got some very special gifts to celebrate with us! And this year is no different.

This site has continued to expand and grow every day. And every single one of you make that possible. You’re continuing debate and discussion drive this site further and further and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Creating a fun, welcoming, and diverse community of fans is what TokuNation is all about. To quote a great friend and our founder Kickback ” I want TokuNation to have a voice – and not through me or any single staff member or forum member – but as a community.” That’s the reason this site exists. TokuNation has aimed to be your home for Power Rangers, Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, Godzilla, Metal Heroes, Ultraman, Garo, Pacific Rim, and more for 2 years now! For news, images, contests, galleries, community events and so much more! And we don’t plan to stop being your source for all the latest and greatest in toku any time soon!

We’re just about to finish the holiday season for the year 2013 and your friends at Talkin Toku at the Nation are bringing you some end-of-the-year Holiday cheer! Please join Kickback, Den-O, and Sentai Tamashii in the last episode of 2013! Taking the show away from where we’ve been, this show primarily focuses on TOYS. Find out what the guys think the Best Toy of 2013 is, what the Worst Toy of 2013 is, the most anticipated toys of 2014, and what our, as well as your favorite toku companies, New Year’s Resolutions are and should be.

Hey toku fans! We’re dropping this post to wish you all a very happy holidays. Today may be Christmas Eve but we want to give well wishes to any and all of our members and any holidays you may celebrate! This community is the best because you make it the best. We’re approaching our 2 year anniversary and that simply wouldn’t be possible without all of you out there contributing to this wonderful place!

A few updates while we have your attention:

–Let’s Watch Wednesdays will be bumped to Thursday this week because of the Christmas holiday. Likewise we’ll have a Thursday Edition the week of New years.

– Talkin Toku @ the Nation (the Official TokuNation.com Podcast) will release Episode 003, “Heeeeeey Jordan!”, by the end of this week. Kickback, Den-O, and Sentai Tamashii will then be taking a much deserved holiday break and will return to your media devices a week or two after the New Year. They want to hear from you! So please E-mail them at podcast@tokunation.com with questions, comments, etc., and they’ll read them on the show! See you in 2014!

-And don’t forget about our Toku Toy Box Giveaway! We’re in the middle of posting a series of 8 galleries this month for you to post in related to Power Rangers Super Megaforce & Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. Nearly two years ago we launched TokuNation.com with two goals in mind – build a friendly and helpful community, and create a website that fans of tokusatsu can follow for the latest news on all their favorite shows and toys.  And for the last two years, we’ve been very proud and very humble of the friends, fans, and followers that we’ve made through our forums, our Facebook, and our @TokuNation Twitter account.  It has been our absolute pleasure to get to know every single one of you and to give all of you opportunities to win all the contests and giveaways that we do on a regular basis.  All of this, everything we do, is for you guys and because of you guys.

So for starters, THANK YOU!

So after two years we decided it was time for a face lift.  We wanted to upgrade our visuals while still keeping the ability for the community to interact directly with each news post, but also integrate social media in to things.  So here’s a quick run down of some of the major changes you’ll see right on the front page!

– Social media integration in to each and every news post (if you’re signed in to any of those social media sites and you click the button, you can “Share” the story through your account!)

– A complete search engine for every single news post, ever, through a number of options including Major Category (IE: Kamen Rider, Power Rangers, Super Sentai), Shows, Toy Line, Characters, and Companies.  Try it out – you can now look back through 2 years of history with just a couple clicks!

– Featured stories – self explanatory!

Our photo staff is at it again, this time a new gallery coming from photo and content staffer conundrum!

The ‘Armored Might’ subline of Bandai of America’s Power Rangers toy line continues with two new releases for Fall 2013, including a Power Rangers 20 figure, the White Mighty Morphin’ Ranger.

The White Ranger stands at approximately 7 inches tall and has a fairly impressive 29 points of articulation. The figure features removable chest armor, gauntlets, arm bands, and boot cuffs. It also includes two pairs of interchangeable hands and a well sculpted Saba sword. White Ranger shares the same body sculpt as the previously released Mighty Morphin’ Red Ranger and is able to wear/wield its accessories.

While this Armored Might White Ranger figure is no S.H. Figuarts Kiba Ranger,[/URL] it’s still a very solid figure.

The popular upgrade form for Kamen Rider Knight from the popular series Kamen Rider Ryuki was released not long ago in S.H. Figuarts form, and we’re proud to present to everyone here our gallery of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Knight Survive!

 

Fans of Kamen Rider Ryuki will recognize this character immediately – for those unfamiliar with the Japan series, you may also recognize it as the upgrade form to Kamen Rider Dragon Knight‘s second-main character, Kamen Rider Wing Knight.

It’s time for a double dose of Power Animals! In our second gallery celebrating Power Rangers Wild Force we take a look at DX Gao Giraffe & Gao Elephant from Hyakuju Sentai Gaoranger!

When Gao King equips Gao Elephant it becomes Gao King Sword & Shield, and when equipping Giraffe it become Gao King Spear. The simultaneous use of both creates Gao King Spear & Shield!

Both of these figures were released individually at first, Giraffe was later collected into the Gao Icarus Boxed set. As single releases they include their own clear yellow Gao Jewel figures! When used in combination with the spherical Gao Jewel cases they can interact with the Beast Blades and the later released Falcon Summoner.

Thanks for sticking with us as we began the first phase of our site’s relaunch. To prepare for a brand new look and feel to TokuNation.com, we spent some time looking in to making some changes on the forums to better streamline our discussions and to make things easier for all the tokusatsu fans out there that come and talk about it here at the site.

Here’s a quick cheat-sheet on what’s changed.

– Power Rangers Discussion replaces “Power Rangers Megaforce”. All of your Power Rangers discussion now happens in one forum, instead of being spread out over two.
– Kamen Rider Discussion replaces “Kamen Rider Gaim”. All of your Kamen Rider discussion now happens in one forum, instead of being spread out over two.
– Super Sentai Discussion replaces “Jyuden Sentai Kyoryuger”. All of your Super Sentai discussion now happens in one forum, instead of being spread out over two.
– American Toku has been merged with Other Toku Series Discussion. All tokusatsu series discussion that is not one of the “big three” will take place in this forum.
– Other forums have had slight name changes and many have had description changes.

Phase two of our site relaunch will happen sooner than you think. For those who are not aware, we are planning a site relaunch within the next couple of weeks barring any unforeseen complications. We will have an all new front page, a brand new logo, and add another color or two in to our overall color scheme. We also plan to launch a new forum within our message board and add some new, exciting features for you to interact with the site.
