S.H. Figuarts Red Buster Gallery 2.0 – FINAL Toku Toy Box Entry!

Posted on January 3, 2016 at 4:35 pm by Den-O under Contests and Giveaways, Super Sentai, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

We’ve come to the end folks! With only one day left before we announce the winner of Toku Toy Box we’re officially posting our last gallery for the competition today! Tomorrow we’ll be featuring a roundup of all eligible entries for this years giveaway. But for now we’re going to take a look at our final entry, S.H. Figuarts Red Buster Gallery 2.0!

While Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters was not fondly looked upon by many fans it’s still a personal favorite of mine. Much like the series many people were turned off by the Red Buster figuart. Admittedly he’s not perfect, thanks to the limited upper arm movement and especially difficult to swap hands. But Red Buster more than captures the look of it’s on screen counterpart and includes a wealth of accessories like the Sougan Blade, Ichigan Buster, & the combined Ichigan Buster Special Buster Mode! While imperfect Red Buster is still an admirable release that goes for some pretty rock bottom prices. Anyone looking to fill out their Super Sentai displays should definitely pick this one up!

We’ve attached a selection of images to this post but we’ve assembled a full review and over 60 images of S.H. Figuarts Red Buster after the jump. Just click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this page to see them all! And remember this is your FINAL chance to qualify for the Toku Toy Box Giveaway! That means all you have to do is post something relevant to the conversation and you’re entered for a chance to win!

Kamen Rider Black RX: S.H. Figuarts Ridoron Gallery – Toku Toy Box Entry

Posted on December 30, 2015 at 10:46 pm by Den-O under Contests and Giveaways, Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

Just in time for the end of the year we have another behemoth Rider Machine to review! Not to be entirely outdone by Kamen Rider Drive’s Tridoron,[/URL] the late Showa classic Kamen Rider Black RX swoops in with this massive release to round out the year. S.H. Figuarts Ridoron!

The Ridoron, much like Black RX’s other ally Acrobatter, is a sentient machine that allied itself with RX in the battle against Crisis Empire. The Ridoron figuart is yet another excellent huge addition to the line following in the footsteps of other big releases like Machine Itasha & Tridoron. This one is a very straightforward release with no real accessories aside from the antennae you need to attach. However Ridoron does feature some excellent action features in the form of spring-loaded mandibles in the front bumper and functional turbines in the rear!

S.H. Figuarts Ridoron is another welcome addition to any Kamen Rider Black or Black RX collection. Feel free to check out over 30 images of Ridoron as well as a full review by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post.  And remember that this gallery qualifies you for entry in our Toku Toy Box Giveaway! That means all you have to do is post something relevant to the conversation and you’re entered for a chance to win!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Drive Type Formula Gallery – Toku Toy Box Entry

Posted on December 27, 2015 at 11:43 am by Den-O under Contests and Giveaways, Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

For-For-For-Formula!

After the holiday rush Toku Toy Box is back in full swing with a brand new gallery! Today we’re making another pit stop with Kamen Rider Drive and S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Drive Type Formula!

Type Formula is Drive’s penultimate form, and much like his final form it has it’s lovers & detractors. I for one have always been a big fan of the Formula design but it doesn’t work for everyone. A recent Tamashii Web Exclusive, Formula is a unique release. Yes it includes the requisite extra hands, Formula Shift Car, Trailer Cannon, & even the swap-out Core Driviar-N chest. But Type Formula also includes a full decal sheet! The decals on this sheet help you recreate every single Shift Car “sponsor logo” on the suit! While this may seem tedious to most I have to admit it wasn’t that bad in practice.

We’ve included basically 2 galleries for the price of 1 here. A number of detailed photos of Type Formla without decals applied and a complete set of photos with decals applied as well! Read on by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to enjoy over 80 images of Drive Type Formula! And remember that this gallery qualifies you for entry in our Toku Toy Box Giveaway! That means all you have to do is post something relevant to the conversation and you’re entered for a chance to win!

S.H. Figuarts Gokai Christmas Gallery 2.0 Gallery – Toku Toy Box Entry

Posted on December 25, 2015 at 7:00 am by Den-O under Contests and Giveaways, Super Sentai, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

You may recall that on this day last year we posted our very first 2.0 Gallery kicking off our journey of self-improvement of some of our previous works. That gallery was none other than S.H. Figuarts Gokai Christmas! This year we wanted to remind you of this awesome figure on Christmas and also let you know that this gallery is good for an entry in this years Toku Toy Box! As with any other Toku Toy Box eligible gallery you just need to make a relevant (non-spam) post in this thread to give yourself another entry in out giveaway!

For a little refresher on this figure, Gokai Christmas was a special form achieved by Gokai Silver in Episode 44 of Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. A Christmas themed episode itself, Silver/Gai sought to be more festive in the battle against Zangyack and so using his special abilities merged the Gokai Red & Green Ranger Keys! The result is this fantastic repaint that was released in 2013 as a Toei Hero.Net exclusive.

Though we’re sharing this gallery once again to celebrate the Christmas holiday, we know that many of our friends, family members, & staff also celebrate entirely different holidays all around the world. We’d like to take this moment to not only wish the community a Merry Christmas but also Happy Holidays! No matter what you may celebrate TokuNation is happy to have you here and we’re thrilled to continue yet another successful year with you.

S.H. Figuarts Tridoron Gallery – Toku Toy Box Entry

Posted on December 23, 2015 at 1:37 am by Den-O under Contests and Giveaways, Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

We’re long past due sharing this one with you, but for Toku Toy Box we’re pulling out all the stops this year! Released just recently as a Tamashii Web Exclusive we’re happy to finally be able to take a look at the massive S.H. Figuarts Tridoron!

The Tridoron is one amazing collector’s piece. What you’ll immediately notice about it is the hefty die-cast metal used in the undercarriage as well as the gorgeous and near flawless paint applications. Get beyond the shock of these features though and what we have is an amazingly functional vehicle with a WEALTH of accessories. Tridoron has working LED’s for head/tail lights, fully detailed & functional interiors, a number of new faces for Mr. Belt are included, as are several items necessary to replicate Tire Koukans on this behemoth. But perhaps most interesting of all though is the removable Driver’s Side cutaway model! A special stand is even included for it’s display. S.H. Figuarts Tridoron is literally one of the most all inclusive packages I’ve ever seen.

Click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post in order to view the entire 70+ image gallery as well as a full review of S.H. Figuarts Tridoron! And remember that this gallery qualifies you for entry in our Toku Toy Box Giveaway! That means all you have to do is post something relevant to the conversation and you’re entered for a chance to win!

Magnet Change Robotack Gallery – Toku Toy Box Entry

Posted on December 17, 2015 at 9:58 am by Den-O under Contests and Giveaways, General Tokusatsu News, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

Toku Toy Box returns with yet another gallery of a classic toy! Picking up where we left off with our Superchange Kabutack DX Gallery we’re moving 1 year ahead to Kabutack’s follow up series, Tetsuwan Tantei Robotack, the final Metal Hero! Today’s gallery will focus on the series lead character in toy form, Magnet Change Robotack!

A revolutionary toy line, Robotack features my absolute favorite gimmick ever; Magnet (Jishakku) Change! Each figure in the line consisted of a central torso with detachable limbs each embedded with a magnet. Not only did this allow you transform each figure from it’s Normal Mode to Super Mode but every figure in the line was totally interchangeable with one another! Any number of unique combinations is possible. Robotack himself is a sturdy die-cast laden toy more than worth adding to your collection, especially for the low prices he’s available for today!

Click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post in order to view the entire 80 image gallery as well as a full review of this set! We’ve also included a short synopsis of Tetsuwan Tantei Robotack for those unfamiliar with the series. And remember that this gallery qualifies you for entry in our Toku Toy Box Giveaway! That means all you have to do is post something relevant to the conversation and you’re entered for a chance to win!

Superchange B-Robo Kabutack DX Set Gallery – Toku Toy Box Entry

Posted on December 14, 2015 at 9:30 pm by Den-O under Contests and Giveaways, General Tokusatsu News, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

Superchange!

Toku Toy Box is back with yet another vintage gallery for your viewing pleasure! Today we take a look back at a classic entry in the Metal Heroes franchise circa 1997-1998 with B-Robo Kabutack! And the toy of it’s titular hero, the Superchange Kabutack DX Set!

An often overlooked series, B-Robo Kabutack was the spiritual successor to the long forgotten Toei Fushigi Comedy series. A franchise marked by fun loving almost child like robots and their human allies. Examples being shows like Batten Robomaru, Morimori Bokkun, & Robot 8-Chan. Kabutack sat itself apart with some fantastic production values, a plot that borrows more than a little bit from Dragonball, and an absolutely fantastic gimmick for it’s toyline; Superchange! This DX Superchange set includes the fully transformable Kabutack as well as his 2 armors Drillut & Zabut, each sporting 3 different combinations with Kabutack!

Click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post in order to view the entire 100 image gallery as well as a full review of this set! We’ve also included a short synopsis of B-Robo Kabutack for those unfamiliar. And remember that this gallery qualifies you for entry in our Toku Toy Box Giveaway! That means all you have to do is post something relevant to the conversation and you’re entered for a chance to win! We’ll be back very soon with another gallery related to this one, in the form of Kabutack’s succesor. The final Metal Heroes series, Tetsuwan Tantei Robotack!

S.H. Figuarts Kyoryu Gold Gallery 2.0 – Toku Toy Box Entry

Posted on December 10, 2015 at 9:52 pm by Den-O under Contests and Giveaways, Super Sentai, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

The Thundering Brave, S.H. Figuarts Kyoryu Gold has arrived for Toku Toy Box with a brand new 2.0 gallery! Rounding out our trip down memory lane with Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger it’s fitting that we end that trip with Kyoryu Gold.

Though he may have been the final Kyoryuger released, Kyoryu Gold is by far the best. Benefiting from a slightly bulkier build than the the previous five, Kyoryu Gold has by far the most heroic proportions. On top of this the figure also features a wonderful gold paint finish, and a decent load out of accessories. The massive Zandar Thunder sword, several sets of hands, a #6 Zyudenchi, the pre-attached Gaburichanger, and the most important accessory of all; the Fang Shot! Which is the final piece needed to create the Kentrospiker!

With the apparent death of Super Sentai S.H. Figuarts we likely won’t ever get the rest of the Kyoryugers, but if that’s the case? Then S.H. Figuarts Kyoryu Gold is an appropriate finisher to the line. To see the full 50+ image gallery and read an in depth review of this figure just click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. And don’t forget this is gallery qualifies you for entry in our Toku Toy Box Giveaway! That means all you have to do is post something relevant to the conversation and you’re entered for a chance to win!

S.H. Figuarts Busou Chaser Set Gallery – Toku Toy Box Entry

Posted on December 6, 2015 at 1:05 am by Den-O under Contests and Giveaways, Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

Tune, Chaser!

Another day means another chance for all our users in Toku Toy Box! It’s been a long time coming but Bandai has finally delivered the goods for Mashin Chaser with the release of the new S.H. Figuarts Busou Chaser set!

The Busou Chaser set as the name implies is a vast accessory set meant for use with your S.H. Figuarts Mashin Chaser. A set which gives Chaser access to his E-Circular weapon pack as well as it’s alternate weapon modes like the Fang Spidey, Tail Whipper, & Wing Sniper! But perhaps the most striking accessory in this set is the MASSIVE pair of Wing Sniper Wings. An incredible piece these wings make Mashin Chaser look absolutely devilish and complete his look in the best way. As far as accessory sets go this one is top notch! But please do check out our full review and complete gallery after the jump.

We’ve assembled over 60 images of the S.H. of the Figuarts Busou Chaser Accessory set after the jump, to see them all click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. And don’t forget this is gallery qualifies you for entry in our Toku Toy Box Giveaway! That means all you have to do is post something relevant to the conversation and you’re entered for a chance to win!
