LVUR01 – Level Up Rider Kamen Rider Ex-Aid Level 1 & 2 Gallery

Posted on November 11, 2016 at 12:04 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

Let’s Game, Super Game, Ultra Game, what’s your name?!

Kamen Rider Ex-Aid is well underway and so far we’ve seen a lot of positive reactions to the series. Now that we’ve finally had a chance to absorb some of what the series has to offer ourselves, we’re ready to share our gallery & review of the first figure in this line, LVUR01 Level Up Rider Kamen Rider Ex-Aid!

LVUR Ex-Aid is the first entry in the so-called gimmick line this year. An interesting figure, Ex-Aid manages to transform from his SD style Level 1 mode via a hollowed out shell, and assume his more iconic Level 2 Action Gamer form. As gimmick lines go, this one may not blow you out of the water, but there are some nice changes this go around. Level 1 may be mostly immobile, but it isn’t without it’s charm, and Level 2 takes full advantage of the standard articulation Bandai applies to the retail gimmick line every year (plus some double jointed knees!). And of course each form is armed with their version of the standard Gashacon Breaker weapon!

We’ve attached a selection to this post but you can enjoy over 90 images in the full thread below! Just click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post! Mighty Critical Strike!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Ghost Toucon Boost Damashii Gallery

Posted on November 4, 2016 at 2:32 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

I am Boost! The Rumbling Ghost! Go Fight, Go Fight, Go, GO!

We’re a little late to the party with this one, but we’re happy to finally take a look at S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Ghost Toucon Boost Damashii! The 3rd release in the Kamen Rider Ghost line, Toucon Boost is also Ghosts’ first real upgraded form. So what’s the verdict?

If you’ve been a fan so far of the Ghost & Specter releases then we can happily report that you’ll be looking forward to much of the same with Toucon Boost. While this figure doesn’t necessarily mix things up much, it does manage to take a basic body we’ve seen twice over, and things interesting. And we finally have a weapon that can really interact with the included Eyecons in the form of the Sunglasseslasher!

We’ve attached a selection of images to this post but you can enjoy 60+ photos in the full thread by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post!

S.H. Figuarts Deka Red Gallery 2.0

Posted on October 26, 2016 at 11:29 pm by Den-O under Super Sentai, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

Emergency, Dekaranger!

With Tamashii Nations 2016 this upcoming weekend we hope to see many reveals, both expected and unexpected. Those reveals used to include Super Sentai figuarts but sadly that line has been shelved, for now. But it gives us pause to go back and on occasion reexamine some of our favorite releases as well. So today we’re featuring a brand new Gallery 2.0 Re-do with S.H. Figuarts Deka Red!

Dekaranger has always been one of my personal favorite Sentai. So seeing the characters done in figuarts styling was like a dream come true. Sadly not a fully realized dream, but the releases we did get are still fantastic and that’s what encouraged me to finally do this reshoot of Deka Red. The Dekaranger body type has an impressive range that still holds up to new figures. But the accessory count here is perhaps the best thing about this figure. SP License, both Magnums, multiple hands, even the ludicrous power of the Akibrangers the Dekawoppa!? These were the glory days.

We’ve attached a selection to this post but you can enjoy the complete 80 image Gallery 2.0 of S.H. Figuarts Deka Red after the jump by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post.

S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Kuuga Ultimate Form Gallery

Posted on October 24, 2016 at 1:02 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

And we’re back! After a brief hiatus as well as our special all-star 500th gallery celebration, we’re back to regularly scheduled programming. And the first gallery to kick off the next generation of TokuNation reviews is S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Kuuga Ultimate Form!

S.S. Kuuga Ultimate was a recent web exclusive release that finally forced us to reexamine and trade up from the ancient original Ultimate release. Seihou Kuuga Ultimate is perhaps one of the most powerful looking figuarts, straight out of the box, I’ve ever seen. You can practically feel it in the sculpt. This is an excellently designed and executed figure that belongs in any collection. But Kuuga fans in particular will be able to feels Godai’s essence oozing from this figure. It’s a must own.

In the full gallery linked below you can enjoy over 60 images of S.H. Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Kuuga Ultimate Form. Just click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this article, and enjoy! We’ll be back in a few days with another Gallery 2.0 re-do with another classic release, S.H. Figuarts Deka Red!

TokuNation Gallery Roundup: August 2016

Posted on August 31, 2016 at 10:57 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider, Metal Heroes, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

It’s been a long and hot summer but TokuNation is bringing you in to the homestretch of 2016 for the holiday season! August has come and gone and before you know it so will September. But before we head that way, let’s take a look back at your favorite toy galleries posted for the month of August 2016:

Tokkei Winspector
S.H. figuarts Bikel

Kamen Rider Ghost
S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Specter

Kamen Rider Kuuga
S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Kuuga Ultimate Form (original release)

Kamen Rider Kabuto
S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Gattack (original release)

Metal Heroes & Kamen Riders dominated our August, what will September bring? Actually more of the same! For this month we’ll have classic galleries from Kamen Rider Kabuto, our third entry from Tokkei Winspector, a sprinkling of Sentai, and perhaps some vintage figures we’ve yet to share…. And we definitely can’t forget our VERY special 500th gallery this month as well! Stay tuned!

S.H. Figuarts Yellow Buster & Usada Lettuce Gallery 2.0

Posted on April 29, 2016 at 10:05 pm by Den-O under Super Sentai, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

It’s time for Buster!

TokuNation is finally ready to finish the journey it began nearly 5 months ago. Our Gallery 2.0 retrospective for Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters comes to an end with this final gallery, S.H. Figuarts Yellow Buster & Usada Lettuce!

Yellow Buster & Usada are the 5th and sadly last release in the Go-Busters Figuarts subline. But this pair are a more than admirable send off. Between the standard accessory load out of the Buster mold & the inclusion of Usada, this release is more than worth the  fair prices it goes for now. And with it you can at least complete the original trios of Buster & Buddyroids.

We’ve attached a selection of images to this post but you can view the full gallery by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post.

14K Gold Plated Power Rangers Lost Galaxy Megazord Gallery

Posted on February 14, 2016 at 12:25 pm by Den-O under Super Sentai, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

Go galactic!

Agter some extensive coverage of this years New York Toy Fair, it’s to share a gallery with the community that we just could not wait on any longer.Power Rangers & Super Sentai collectors are no strangers to special edition repaints & limited releases. And often items in this category can become increasingly rare & expensive over time, but one release in particular is one of the most sought after pieces in Power Rangers history. Mostly because of it’s extremely limited release venue. Well today we have a rare opportunity to share with you a full gallery of the Deluxe 14K Gold Plated Galaxy Megazord! And we’ve also given it a side by side comparison with it’s closest Japenese counterpart, DX Black GingaiOh!

The Gold Galaxy Megazord was an expensive and limited release that was originally only sold at the now defunct FAO Schwartz retail chain. When these began surfacing in the early 2000’s many collectors simply didn’t believe they were real. At one time there were thought to be lass than 5 in existence as well, now that number has been proven to be closer to around 15+. Because of it’s limited nature and the authentic 14K gold used to plate it, this set has commanded high prices for years, luckily we were able to snag one for an amazing deal for this gallery.

We’ve attached a small selection of images to this post but please enjoy over 75 images of this magnificent set after the jump by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. It was an honor to be able to handle such a limited set and I hope the community enjoys getting a good look at it. I’ll be back soon with a look back at another sought after limited repaint as well, DX Black Daizyujin from Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger!
