Tamashii Nations Event Exclusive S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Baron Lemon Energy Arms to be Lucky Draw Item After Event

Posted on October 28, 2014 at 1:49 pm by Chris under Conventions, Kamen Rider, Other Conventions

Bad news for those of you collecting the S.H. Figuarts line of characters for the popular Kamen Rider Gaim series. Normally, exclusives from these type of events show up as Tamashii Web Exclusives a month or two after said event is over. But it would appear that this time almost all the exclusives from the show will be available only as Lucky Draw items – basically super rare items.

The S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Baron Lemon Energy Arms figure is one of the said exclusives from this month’s Tamashii Nations Event that will be available only as a Lucky Draw item after the event. This means that unless you have purchased a pre-order from a few hobby shops attending the event, or have someone attending the event, you will be stuck looking on the secondary market for this item. It’s almost a guarantee that Mandarake will have the item pop up from time to time over the next few months, but the availability is not guaranteed in the slightest.

Best of luck to all those looking to complete this line with this new revelation.

Tamashii Web Shop for the West Announced!

Posted on October 24, 2014 at 12:55 pm by Den-O under Garo, General Tokusatsu News, Godzilla, Kamen Rider, Metal Heroes, Power Rangers, Super Sentai, Ultraman

This is a HUGE announcement. Bandai of Japan and Tamashii Nations have just revealed their joint Tamashii Web Shop venture for western markets! A brand new website which will offer Web Exclusive figures and products to English speaking western markets!

We got an inside scoop about this piece of news on the ground at New York Comic-Con earlier this month. Sadly that news was not public at the time so we had to keep a tight lid on things. But today this new Tamashii Web Shop has not only been revealed to the world, but is in fact already active! Though only 1 item is currently up for pre-order you can be sure that more items will begin to be listed in the coming days and weeks.

This is a huge step forward for western fans importing figures from Japan. Though this new web shop is so far only limited to those residing in the US & Canada it’s a pretty significant step in the collector toy market. Time will tell how far this goes.

S.H. Monsterarts Godzilla 2000 Special Color Version Official Images

Posted on October 23, 2014 at 3:27 pm by Den-O under Godzilla

Flying under the radar among the other recently revealed Tamashii nations products this week is the upcoming S.H. Monsterarts Godzilla 2000 Special Color Version!

It looks like the very popular Godzilla 2000 mold will be getting a re-release in a new color scheme designed by Yuji Sakai.  A prolific concept artist and S.H. Monsterarts Sculptor, Mr Sakai is also the original artist behind the design of Godzilla 2000!  It appears that the new paint job is the only special treatment given to this figure as no additional accessories will be included, just as with the original release this is bare bones.

Godzilla 2000 Special Color will be released as a Tamashii Web Exclusive in April 2015 for 7776 yen.

S.H. Figuarts Kikader 01 Official Images

Posted on October 23, 2014 at 2:16 pm by Den-O under General Tokusatsu News

Revealed earlier this week among several other new figures, the Tamashii Web Shop has updated with official images and pricing info for the upcoming S.H. Figuarts Kikaider 01!

The younger brother of Jiro the original Kikaider, Kikaider 01 (Ichiro) was likewise the star of his own live action series in the 70’s. Itself a follow up to the original Kikaider show. At the rate Bandai continues to pump out new Kikaider Figuarts we may run the gamut  of the two classic live action shows pretty quickly. Perhaps some figures based on the Reboot film or the anime & OVA’s are down the road?

S.H. Figuarts Kikaider 01, much like his brother, only includes 3 extra sets of hands for accessories. But this classic addition to your collection will be made available as a Tamashii Web Exclusive in April 2015 for 5184 yen.

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Blade Broken Head Version Official Images

Posted on October 23, 2014 at 2:01 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Revealed earlier this week among several other new figures, the Tamashii Web Shop has updated with official images and pricing info for the upcoming S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Blade Broken Head Version!

This battle damaged reissue of Kamen Rider Blade seems to includes most of what the original release did aside from the Lightning Blast effect parts and the piece of rubble to place the Rouzer  in. It swaps the standard head for the “broken” version so there’s no undamaged helmet included either. What it does have are 3 & 1/2 sets of additional hands, the Blay Rouzer holster, the Blay Rouzer itself, the fanned out Rouze Card part, and the same Rouze card sticker set included with the first release.

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Blade Broken Version will be released as a Tamashii Web Exclusive in April 2015 for 4320 yen.

S.H. Figuarts Kikaider 01, Kamen Rider Blade Broken Version Revealed

Posted on October 21, 2014 at 11:20 pm by Den-O under General Tokusatsu News, Kamen Rider

Another set of magazine scans is still making the rounds tonight and we’ve got a couple of more figure confirmations.

First up is the next release in the Kikaider series of Figuarts. It’s Jiro’s brother Ichiro, S.H. Figuarts Kikaider 01! Kikaider 01 looks to be a pretty standard release much like the recently released Kikaider. Like his brother, Kikaider 01 will also be a Tamashii Web Exclusive set for April 2015 for 5184 yen.

Next up is an odd one that’s sure to please Kamen Rider Blade fans. The elusive and popular S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Blade is getting a reissue, with a twist! This Blade will be released as a battle damaged Broken Head Version! It will include a damaged helmet with a partially revealed face of our hero Kazuma Kenzaki! A Tamashii Web Exclusive S.H. Figuarts Blade Broken Version will be out in April 2015 for 4320 yen.

New Prototype S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Drive Image!

Posted on October 21, 2014 at 11:00 pm by Den-O under Conventions

Teased a mere 2 days ago by Tamashii Nations, we have our very first true prototype image of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Drive Type Speed!

Kamen Rider Drive appears to have some excellent sculpted details and a good range of motion we’ve come to expect from most figuarts. Of course there’s no confirmation on if the Tire Koukan gimmick will be replicated in some fashion for the Drive SHF line. But we;ll find our more about this figure as information becomes available. In any case S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Drive Type Speed and many other recent reveals will all be on display at Tamashii Nations 2014 at the end of this month!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Kuuga Renewal Revealed!

Posted on October 21, 2014 at 10:47 pm by Den-O under Conventions, Kamen Rider, Other Conventions

Long speculated by fans and finally confirmed, the next premium Shinkocchou Seihou style S.H. Figuarts release is a Kamen Rider Kuuga Renewal! Demanded by fans for a very long time Bandai is finally taking a second crack at Kamen Rider Kuuga.

With the original being one of the earliest S.H. Figuarts it really shows it’s age. While we’ve yet to confirm solid details on the accessories included, S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Kuuga Renewal will be released in April 2015 for 5400 yen. A rather steep price tag that’s in line with the two previous premium style releases Kabuto Renewal & Hibiki. Expect to see more images of this exciting new figure at the upcoming Tamashii Nations 2014 at the end of October!
