Let’s Watch Wednesdays Week 12 Kamen Rider Den-O 31-33

Posted on August 27, 2014 at 8:59 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

TokuNation is back with another exciting climax in Kamen Rider Den-O for Let’s Watch Wednesdays!

As Yuuto continues to struggle with the final Zeronos Card, their secret is revealed. Airi can’t remember any version of the Sakurai Yuuto she once loved.  Because every time one of Zeronos‘ cards is used something incredibly important is lost, memories of Sakurai Yuuto! Each card contains a memory someone else has of him. And a new line has appeared in time twisted and mangled, this line doesn’t connect to Den-Liner, yet. But its tremors are being felt across time. No one will know that better than Hana. Could this line cross into her destroyed time? Where does it lead to, the future? Or the past?

Den-O Trivia #12

You may have noticed something big changed this week. And that’s Hana’s actress! For reasons we’ll find out later within the shows plot, Hana has regressed in age to that of a child. Some of you may even have noticed that Hana’s original actress, Yuriko Shiratori, last appeared in episode 30. After Ore Tanjou her involvement began to decline somewhat but she abruptly left the show at episode 30. So you’ll notice the ignorance of her absence by the shows plot.

In the real world what happened was Yuriko Shiratori became very over worked while doing the show and she’s said to have exited the franchise because of health problems related to this. Other reports have variously claimed over the years that she was injured filming a stunt for the show and refused to return because of it. Whatever the case may be she left the show and never returned. Which may be a big missed opportunity for the young actress as Den-O went on to become the longest lasting franchise in Kamen Rider and by far one of the most successful. But her replacement Tamaki Matsumoto stuck with it as Kohana for years, all the way into the Cho Den-O Trilogy!

ToQGer Magazine Scans Highlight ToQ Hyper, New Shadow Villain Incoming!

Posted on August 27, 2014 at 2:59 pm by Paladin under Super Sentai

Not to be outdone, the ToQGers also have a handful of interesting new magazine scans online now!

This September we will see the introduction of the Hyper Ressha! This unique new addition to the ToQGer arsenal grants new enhanced abilities and special golden armor, transforming the regular Toq1 into  Hyper ToQ1!

The Hyper armor comes with a new weapon, the DaiKaiten Cannon– a roundtable based blaster that channels energy from six Resshas into a single massive attack!

Last but certainly not least, the magazines reveal another villain joining the cast: Marchioness Morc will fight alongside the Shadow Line. What are her motivations for coming to Earth? How will the other Shadows react to this newcomer? Only time will tell!

PMC2014 – Power Rangers Dino Charge 5″ Figures Pics

Posted on August 27, 2014 at 3:23 am by Chris under Conventions, Power Morphicon, Power Rangers

You didn’t think we were done did you? We took a ton of pictures of everything over the course of Power Morphicon 2014 and we’re still catching up! Alongside our previous pics of the upcoming Power Rangers Dino Charge Megazord, the Power Rangers Dino Charge Morpher and Sword, and the Power Rangers Dino Charge Bike with Red Ranger Figure, we are pleased to bring you 35 pictures of the upcoming 5″ Power Rangers Dino Charge Figures!

Important note right off the bat – these are painted prototypes. These are not finalized as of this exact moment and you will see in the pictures just how hand-painted they are. Their weapons are most likely going to be the bright neon yellow color that you see – it’s the same color used in the actual roleplay sword from an earlier picture gallery we did. While many are put off by super bright colors, I personally think it matches with the bright colors that this show is giving. It can’t be worse than pitch-black that we got with Power Rangers Super Megaforce.

The foot soldier and the Americanized version of DoGold do not have official names at the moment – simply “villain” and “foot soldier” for the time being. The amount of detailing on those two figures is pretty impressive – we especially love the attention to detail in what will be the first available figure for the DoGold character. All of this, of course, is from Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, the series that is being adapted to create Power Rangers Dino Charge.

What are your thoughts? Join in our discussion on the forums. Are you going to pick up these 5″ figures? Do they look okay or do you think they need more detail? Sound off and let us know Ranger Nation!

Kamen Rider Drive Magazine Scans Demonstrate Shift Combat!

Posted on August 26, 2014 at 5:10 pm by Paladin under Kamen Rider

A massive amount of new scans for Kamen Rider Drive have come online! This time we get a close look at the new Kamen Rider’s combat style!

As previously reported, Drive’s default combat Type is Speed -accessed by using the Shift Speed Car. Additional Shift Cars will change Drive’s Type and in turn slightly alter the suit (the major change seen in these scans is a change to the tire-sash across Drive’s chest). The early new Types demonstrated are Speed Shadow (using the Midnight Shadow Shift), Speed Spike (courtesy the Funk Spike Shift) and Speed Flare (via the Max Flare Shift).

The scans also offer some brief glimpses at the enemies for this new series. Translation of the scans refers to the villains as Roimude but their story (along with how & why they oppose Kamen Rider Drive) is yet to be told.

Kamen Rider Drive is still set to premiere early October 2014! Stay tuned to TokuNation until then for further details!

PMC2014 – Custom Pyramidas by Famed Bandai Designer Tsuyoshi Nonaka

Posted on August 26, 2014 at 5:00 pm by Chris under Conventions, Power Morphicon, Power Rangers, Super Sentai

One of the most underrated guests from this year’s Power Morphicon was Tsuyoshi Nonaka, the man behind numerous designs and mechas from Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, Power Rangers, and the creator of the Soul of Chogokin series of figures targeted to adult collectors. Tsuyoshi Nonaka was in attendance at this year’s Power Morphicon and brought with him a custom rebuild of the classic Power Rangers Zeo Pyramidas, which was the carrier zord of the Gold Ranger (or if you prefer, the Kingranger‘s mecha King Pyramidder).

Check out these images of the BEAUTIFUL custom by clicking the story title. Join in the discussion and share your thoughts! Don’t you think it’s time the Power Rangers community got some of the same amazing customizers that frequent the Transformers fandom?

Gaim’s Final Villain, Kamen Rider Jam Revealed!

Posted on August 26, 2014 at 1:18 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Despite Kamen Rider Gaim’s imminent ending in just 5 short weeks, it seems the show has one final surprise to throw at us! The actual, for real this time, one true villain of the series is revealed! Kamen Rider Jam!

The Jam suit is very clearly a reuse of the design shared by Kamen Rider Kamuro & Mars from Gaim’s summer film, with some major differences in color and accents. He also appears to be sporting a purple version of Gaim’s Daidaimaru. The Jam Lock Seed, unnamed at the time of this writing, very clearly resembles the Gold & Silver Ringo locks of the movie riders as well.

Click “Discuss on the TokuNation forums at the bottom of this post to be taken to our discussion thread with possible spoilers for the identity of this character. It’s currently unconfirmed, but indicators are pointing straight to the one person it could be.

Kamen Rider Drive’s Actor Revealed Via Magazine Scans

Posted on August 26, 2014 at 7:24 am by Paladin under Kamen Rider

A few new images have surfaced online, giving us our first real look at the face behind the 15th Hesei Era Kamen Rider!

According to The Tokusatsu Network, Kamen Rider Drive’s true name is Shinnosuke Tomari.  He is described as a car fanatic and police officer in his off-hours. The Drive transformation works by changing a Shift Car into Lever Mode and then inserting it to the Shift Bracelet. Perhaps the most surprising news from the scans thus far is the Drive Driver TALKS to Shinnosuke during combat & offers him helpful advice!

If all goes well, Kamen Rider Drive should begin airing the first weekend in October! Stay tuned to TokuNation until then for further details!

Thanks again to The Tokusatsu Network for translating these scans!

PMC2014 – Power Rangers Dino Charge Megazord Pics and Info

Posted on August 26, 2014 at 2:25 am by Chris under Conventions, Power Morphicon, Power Rangers

One of the most debated items from this year’s San Diego Comic Con 2014 was the individual zords that make up the Power Rangers Dino Charge Megazord. As you may recall, the triceratops belonging to the Pink Ranger was colored purple, and the statement made to us was that a pink colored component on a toy targeted to boys wouldn’t sell. Thanks to ODot92 from RangerCrew.com, we learned that Bandai of America had changed their tune due to fan outrage and had decided to color it pink instead. As Power Morphicon went forward, Bandai of America changed their reasoning, saying that the triceratops was simply colored wrong from the manufacturer and was always meant to be pink. To showcase their change, it was purposely put at the front and middle of their display as every attendee walked in to the convention floor. What is the truth in the story? Who knows and frankly who cares – we have a pink triceratops again and that is all that matters!

Now, Bandai of America uses the Zord Builder feature on all their zords. That poses a slight problem with the Japanese counterpart from Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, which relies on the batteries to make the actual connection to the other zords. With that in mind, we asked Bandai of America what purpose the Chargers will have in the toy line since they will be sticking with the Zord Builder combination feature.

For starters, each zord will have a feature to be unlocked by using the charger. The Red Ranger‘s zord will have the “spike hairs” pop up, the Blue Ranger‘s zord will have the spikes on the back of the body stand up, and the Pink Ranger‘s zord will have the drill pop out from the tail. At this time, there are no plans to have the Chargers unlock sound in the Megazord.

Once again, if this is a deal breaker for you, we suggest importing the Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger version of this figure now before prices go up as they always tend to do when the Power Rangers version comes out. But please check out 40 images of the Power Rangers Dino Charge Megazord. We tried to get as many different angles of the combined form for you so you can make your own judgement on this upcoming figure. Please join our discussion thread and share your thoughts!
