Tokusatsu fans across the world fell in love with Guiliermo Del Toro’s epic Mecha VS Kaiju cinematic entry Pacific Rim last summer. Sadly, the box office returns were less than expected, leaving the future of this innovative new universe in doubt- UNTIL NOW!

Del Toro himself has confirmed that Pacific Rim 2 will be released in 2017! In addition, a new animated series set in the Pacific Rim universe (and following up on the adventures published in comic book format) will come out to bridge the gap between the first film and the sequel.

On the Dino Charge side of things we have our very first look at the upcoming Dino Charge rangers 6-pack! But wait! That’s not a Gold Ranger in the 6th spot, but instead a villain. Astute fans of Kyoryuger will no doubt recognize this character as Dogold from the Deboss Army and understand why he’s been included in this set. His Power Rangers counterpart name has yet to be confirmed. Also included is the combined team weapon also yet to be named (Kentrospiker in Kyoryuger). And we also catch a glimpse of the Dino Charge Red Ranger mask from the Ranger Training set!

For Super Megaforce there’s actually quite a few new images to behold!

  • All of the Wave 4 Ranger Keys packs. Mighyt Morphin, Operation Overdrive, Alien Rangers, Jungle Fury, Dino Thunder, RPM!
  • 12″ figures of Megaforce Red & Super Megaforce Silver Rangers.
  • Ultimate Legendary Megazord 3-pack! This massive 3-pack will contain the Legendary Megazord, Q-Rex Megazord, & Turbo Falconzords all needed to create the final Ultimate combination!

Some more new magazine scans for ToQGer have surfaced online! This month brings us our first close look at Build DaiOh– Toq6’s personal Mecha! The massive twin-car Build Ressha split to form this awesome new Mecha & offer ToQOh some badly-needed help against the DarkLiner Robos.

In addition the scans offer us a few shots of ToQGer’s movie-exclusive new Mecha: the Galaxy Line! Five animal-based Safari Resshas combine to form Safari GaOh!

Toy collectors can look forward to BuildDaiOh’s release in late July for the relatively affordable cost of 6900 Yen. Safari GaOh’s release date is sadly unconfirmed at the time of this writing, so stay tuned to TokuNation for further details!

Thanks to @razzle1337, he has found the first image of the upcoming Power Rangers Super Megaforce Legendary Morpher with 20 Keys item listed in Toys’R’Us computers! The good news is that this set comes with some of the female Ranger Keys that people have been wanting. The bad news is the price of this item – it’s listed at $79.99, almost guaranteeing this set to be one of the more victimized items in the ominous “key theft” that has been occurring to Super Megaforce products nation wide. Here’s the breakdown on the keys that we can decipher from this blurry image.

  • Red, Blue, Green, Pink, Yellow Super Megaforce keys
  • Red, Blue, Black, Pink, Yellow Megaforce keys
  • Red, Blue, Green, Pink, Yellow Samurai keys
  • Red, Black, Blue, Pink, Yellow Mighty Morphin keys

Magazine scan time has come around once again for Kamen Riders this month! And it looks like this months’ main focus is the Kamen Rider Gaim movie, The Great Soccer Match! The Golden Fruit Cup! 

This newest set of scans from the film reveals some in action shots of new comer fighters Kamen Rider’s Mars & Kamuro. Also shown is Gaim’s Dark Jinba Arms in action, a selection of some of the new Arms Changes Gaim will be trying out in the film, and a team-up or two you may not ever have expected to see.

Overshadowing this though is one bombshell scan from from an upcoming episode of  Kamen Rider Gaim. MAJOR SPOILERS below so read on at your own risk:

These scans show us the return of Takatora with his original Sengoku Driver, utilizing the Original Kamen Rider Zangetsu suit! He goes toe to toe in these scans with his brother Micchy still posing as Shin Zangetsu. Upcoming episode rumors say the outcome of this battle will see the elder Kureshima brother on top.

And we’re back with more Kamen Rider Den-O! 3 Imagin now possess Ryutaro. As the weight of that continues to bear on his body and soul, what will he do when a hidden 4th awakens within him? Ryutaros unveils himself! This dragon themed, break dancing, trouble maker is here for one reason. To Defeat Ryutarou. But before he can do that, Den-O Gun Form will rise!

Meanwhile the memories in Airi’s heart begin to surface. Memories of a telescope, of stars once seen, and a love once loved. A familiar watch is in her possession as well, one that a mystery man still holds as well. Inscribed within are the words “the past should give us hope”. What does this mean for Airi? Why does this man continue to appear? Time will tell.

Fun Fact #5

Urataros was the 2nd Imagin to join the Den-Liner crew. As such we explore his origins in myth next! Urataros is based on the legend of Urashimataro. Dating back to nearly the 8th century this legend centers around the fisherman Urashimataro who’s act of kindness, saving a small turtle from violent children, earned him the respect of the sea emperor Ryujin. Urashimataro had coincidentally just saved Ryujin’s daughter.

Given gills to breath water and taken to the bottom of the sea Urashimatro was welcomed by Ryujin and his daughter, now a lovely princess named Otohime. Despite his pleasurable stay in the palace of Ryugu-Jo he asks to retun home mere days after his arrival. given a box that will protect, but instructed by Otohime not to open it, Urashimataro returns to the surface. In his absence what felt like mere days to him had actually been 300 years. His family and life as he knew it were gone, in a panic he opened the Tamatebako box given to him by Otohime. Which unleashed the ravages of 300 years of rapid age upon him….
