More information about the 46th Super Sentai series has appeared!

This time, we get to see the first MECHA configuration for the new series Avataro Sentai DonBrothers. It appears DonBrothers will be compatible with the current Super Sentai series- Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger. Red Ranger Don Momotaro will make his first appearance in Zenkaiger in January 2022 & according to certain rumors both Zenkaiger & Zenkai Zyuran will appear in DonBrothers as supporting characters.

Don Momotaro will use his personal vehicle- the EnyaRidon to combine with Zyuran & create Don ZenkaiOh!

An official announcement of the 46th Super Sentai series Avataro Sentai DonBrothers has just been published!

This Sentai series is inspired by the folk tale Momotaro with each of the five DonBrothers taking on an appearance from a character in the legendary story.

DonBrothers’ head writer is none other than tokusatsu legend Toshiki Inoue– this will be his first Super Sentai project in 30 years! Suit actor turned action director Hirofumi Fukuzawa will remain on hand to helm the series.

Fans eager to see new Red Ranger Don Momotaro in action will not have to wait long- the character will make an introductory appearance in the 42nd episode of Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger– currently scheduled to air January 9 2022!

A press conference will be held in early February 2022 fully introducing the DonBrothers team.

Avataro Sentai DonBrothers will begin airing on March 6 2022!

Toei has published the first official images of the 46th Super Sentai Series- Avataro Sentai DonBrothers!

DonBrothers is a five-member Sentai team consisting of:

*Red Ranger Don Momotaro
*Blue Ranger Saru Brother
*Yellow Ranger Oni Sister
*Pink Ranger Kiji Brother
*Black Ranger Inu Brother

In deference to traditional suit actors, KijiBrother & InuBrother will apparently be computer-animated Rangers!

The DonBrothers team will channel the success of the Sentai Gears with a new model of equipment known as Avataro Gears. The teams’ signature weapon is the DonBlaster– a double barrelled pistol with Gear features. Don Momotaro carries a unique weapon- the Zanglass Sword that can also use Gears.

Lastly, a quick promotional shot gives us a look at Don Momotaro’s personal vehicle- the EnyaRideon!

The team at Boom! Studios has announced a special new Power Rangers crossover comic!

This time, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers will face off against the King of the Monsters himself- GODZILLA!

A quick teaser description offers some insight into the backstory for this unique event:


“When Rita Repulsa uses an ancient artifact to transport herself to a universe without Power Rangers, she finds herself in a world with aliens, kaiju, and… Godzilla! Hoping to annihilate this new foe, Rita hurls her own terrible creatures into battle. But she never expects that the Rangers have followed her to this alternate reality, pitting the Dinozords themselves head-to-head with the King of the Monsters!”

Written by Collen Bunn with artwork by Freddie E. William II Godzilla VS Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is expected to release in March 2022!

Tsuburaya Productions has filed an official trademark for the next entry in the Ultraman franchise.

The 2022 Ultra series will be known as Ultraman Decker! Please note- official English spelling for this new Ultra has not been confirmed at time of writing.

The long-awaited Ultraman feature by legendary director Hideaki Anno is finally heading to theaters!

Originally scheduled for a 2021 release, the Shin Ultraman project was delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Now at last a new release date has been confirmed- Shin Ultrman will arrive in theaters May 13 2022!

Studio TRIGGER has confirmed the next entry in the Gridman universe!

Following the brief teaser earlier this year we now have further details on the upcoming crossover project between SSSS Gridman & SSSS Dynazenon! Instead of a series the two worlds will collide in a full feature film!

It’s time once again for our Toku Toy Box Giveaway, a staple of TokuNation‘s history.  Every year in December we give away tokusatsu toys and collectibles to our readers, fans, and followers – just because you’re great!
