Armored Might Super Megaforce Red Ranger Gallery by conundrum

Posted on January 6, 2014 at 1:24 am by Den-O under Power Rangers

With Power Rangers Super Megaforce toys hitting retail across the nation is it any wonder we have more awesome galleries to share with you?

Today Photo & Content contributor conundrum brings us another taste of this series with Armored Might Super Mega Red Ranger gallery! The Armored Might line of 7″ action figures started with last years releases of the Megaforce Red & Blue Rangers but soon added Robo Knight and the Mighty Morphin Red Ranger & White Ranger to it’s lineup.

Though the Super Megaforce Rangers don’t have an armored mode, they take full advantage of this lines higher price point by being armed to the teeth with 8 new weapons based on Legendary Power Rangers! To check out the full image gallery and the figures’ cross compatibility with other Armored Might releases click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post.

Kamen Rider Gaim, Legend Rider Arms Change Gallery

Posted on January 5, 2014 at 1:46 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Bandai is at it yet again with more collectible trinkets of your favorite Legend Heroes! The Arms Change line for Kamen Rider Gaim has proven to be one of Bandai of Japan’s biggest sellers this season so cashing in on that success with this unique set was a no brainer. Much like Ranger Keys, Rider Rings, and all those that came before it, Legend sets sell incredibly well.

Featured in Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider Gaim & Wizard: The Fateful Sengoku Movie Battle the Legend Rider Arms are this years movie exclusive power up. Generally reserved for the main rider, the main 4 riders from the series; Gaim (Wizard), Baron (OOO), Ryugen (W), Zangetsu (Fourze) each receive the “Arms” of a senior rider.

With the high sales of the Arms Change line and the in demand nature of this set, surely Bandai knows they can cash in on us pretty hard by making more Legend Arms? We can only hope! To check our or full gallery of this interesting set click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. More Arms Change galleries to come this week!

Kamen Rider Gaim Energy Rider Detail of Hero Magazine Scans

Posted on January 3, 2014 at 12:48 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

New “Detail of Hero” magazine scans have started making the rounds for Kamen Rider Gaim, giving us an early look at the new Energy Riders!

These scans provide beautiful up close & personal looks at all 4 of these interesting new riders. A couple unique things to note, unlike the standard Armored Riders their Lock Seeds do not simply flip down when sliced but instead open up or blossom out in 2-4 sectioned pieces. And in keeping with the squeezed or “juiced” theme of the Energy Riders the inner part of all their visors appear to have drops of liquid. It’s the little touches that really set off this amazing costumes. Check out all the images after the jump.

The first rider of this new group, Shin Zangetsu, is set to appear in this weekends upcoming episode of Kamen Rider Gaim!

Power Rangers Super Megaforce Zeo Racer Zord Gallery

Posted on January 2, 2014 at 2:30 am by Den-O under Power Rangers

It’s time to unleash the power with another gallery from Power Rangers Super Megaforce! A tribute to Power Rangers Zeo, today’s gallery is of the Zeo Racer Zord!

The Zeo Racer is a zord entirely unique to Bandai of America’s Power Rangers Super Megaforce line. There is no corresponding vehicle in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. Though this figure is a remold/repaint of the Delta Runner, which is based on the Gokai Machine Pat Striker. This zord is a tribute to the Red Battlezord/Red Puncher and is  an incredibly unique reuse of the Delta Runner mold. Transforming just the same way as the Delta Runner, this figure still manages to have more personality and be a better toy all around.

Check out our full gallery of this unique piece by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. And don’t forget to stop back in with us for all your Power Ranger Super Megaforce needs for 2014!

Power Rangers Super Megaforce Delta Runner Zord Gallery

Posted on January 1, 2014 at 10:28 pm by Den-O under Power Rangers

SPD, Emergency!

Tokunation is back with another gallery from Power Rangers Super Megaforce and today we’re looking at the Delta Runner Zord!

The Delta Runner is a Bandai of America interpretation of the Pat Striker from Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. Itself an homage to the original Pat Striker from Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger. Bearing in mind that Dekaranger was adapted for the US as Power Rangers SPD that’s what the BOA version of the toy represents. Included with the Delta Runner are the SPD Red Ranger Key & a PVC figure of the Super Megaforce Blue Ranger, as well as two missiles for it’s battle Station mode!

As a nice cost effective alternative to it’s Japanese cousin, the Delta Runner offers a lot more play value than the previously released Mystic Dragon Zord. To check out the Delta Runner’s full gallery click “Discuss on the TokuNation forums” at the bottom of this post”. Be sure to stay tuned later this evening as we also bring you a gallery of the Super Megaforce Zeo Racer Zord!

DX Gokai Machine Engine Machalcon Gallery – Final Toku Toy Box Entry!

Posted on December 31, 2013 at 10:51 pm by Den-O under Super Sentai

Engine Soul Set!

And we’re here folks! It’s time for our final tribute gallery to Kaizoku Sentai Gokiager! The final entry in the DX Gokaiger  line is Gokai Machine #5 Engine Machalcon!

This big bad machine, while a tribute to Engine Sentai Go-Onger, is also a completely unique character! Rather than being a rehash of a mecha from a previous show, Engine Machalcon is actually the son of Engine #1 Speedor & #3 BeaRV! Definitely an odd entry for sentai. Rarely (if ever again?) has one mecha been the child of another. Regardless this impressive toy is huge and imposing and succeeds in incorporating the Engine Soul gimmick of Go-Onger and the Ranger Keys of Gokaiger! Check out the full gallery of DX Gokai Machine  Engine Machalcon by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post.

AND don’t forget that this if the final gallery eligible for entry in our Toku Toy Box Giveaway! Simply post in this gallery to be entered in for:

Super Sentai Bravery Prize Pack
-S.H. Figuarts Kyoryu Red
-Legend Sentai Zyudenchi set 1
-Vinyl Gabutyra
-Wizard Sentai Ring Set (Super Hero Taisen Z)
-#8 Bunpachy & Sun Vulcan Candy Toy Zyudenchi
-Minipla Bragigas

You have until January 5th to submit posts in any of the 8 eligible threads for entry! Be sure to do so if you haven’t yet!

DX Gokai Machine Furaimaru Gallery – Toku Toy Box Entry

Posted on December 29, 2013 at 11:44 pm by Den-O under Super Sentai

Pirate and Ninja become one. This is the official Shuriken equipment!

We’re back with another gallery from Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger! This time we’re looking at DX Gokai Machine Furaimaru! Furaimaru is a tribute to the character/robot of the same name from Ninpu Sentai Hurricaneger and the Grand Power of that sentai! Furaimaru is also more than just an homage to his previous self but in fact incorporates elements of the main mecha from Hurricanger, Senpuujin! And the very overt shuriken theme of the figure is a direct himage to Shurikenger and his personal mecha, Tenkuujin! When used in conjunction with the DX Gokai Oh you can create Hurricane Gokai Oh!

Of course if you post in this gallery’s thread by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” you’ll be entered into our Toku Toy Box Giveaway! All it takes is a single post in any of our applicable threads and you could win free tokusatsu prize packs! By posting in this thread you’ll be entered in for the:

Kamen Rider Magically Delicious Prize Pack
-S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Wizard Infinity
-S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Abyss
-Special & Copy Candy Toy Wizard Rings
-Inflatable Kamen Rider Gaim Pine Arms Flail
-DX Grape Lock Seed with Ryugen Belt Plate

Good luck to you all! We’ll see you in just a couple days for our final Gokaiger gallery, DX Gokai Machine Engine Machalcon!

Power Rangers Super Megaforce Mystic Dragon Zord Gallery

Posted on December 29, 2013 at 1:06 am by Den-O under Power Rangers

And we’re back with another gallery from Bandai of America’s Power Rangers Super Megaforce toy line!

Todays offering is the Mystic Dragon Zord, a tribute to Power Rangers Mystic Force. The basis for this figure is the DX Gokai Machine Magi Dragon[/URL] from Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, itself an homage to Mahou Sentai Magiranger. Check out both galleries to see the similarities and differences between these two figures,

The Mystic Dragon Zord and the other auxiliary zord builder compatible vehicles/sets have literally just begun to hit regular retail. So be sure to keep your eyes peeled for them in the coming weeks! The Mystic Dragon used for this gallery was purchased at a local Walmart in Lexington KY.

Click “Discuss on the TokuNation Fourms”  to access our full image gallery of this figure.

Possible Godzilla 2014 Movie Merchandise Reveal!

Posted on December 28, 2013 at 2:48 am by Den-O under Godzilla

Met with heavy speculation at first it appears this first official image of Godzilla 2014 Film toy merchandise might actually be real. Newsouth Books has listed a 2″ Light-Up Godzilla figure kit which includes a 60 year mini-history book of the character. Produced by Running Press, this release is very similar to the type of merchandise the company has often made for book stores and comic & specialty shops relating to such properties as Batman and Doctor Who.

Release date is set for April 2014 at a retail price of $19.99.

So what do you think of this first official piece of Godzilla Movie merchandise? Sound off by clicking “Discuss on the Tokunation Forums” at the bottom of this post. We’ll continue to bring you every piece of Godzilla 2014 news we possibly can as we get closer to the films May 16th, 2014 release date!

NOTE!: There is a LOT of back and forth going on across the Godzilla fandom on whether or not this image is real, partly because of the embargo that Bandai has on revealing the image(s) of the new Godzilla. The product listing is most likely real – a book with a 2″ figure is something specialty retailers love to do and it’s nothing out of the ordinary. The image is what is being called in to question. Until we receive concrete “yes” or concrete “no” on this, we’ll leave the story up and let YOU decide.

UPDATE!: The image attached to the story was taken down by order of Warner Bros. We apologize for the inconvenience.
