Image of Ressha Sentai ToQGer MiniPla Wave 3 – Shield, Fire, and Police Resshas

Posted on May 19, 2014 at 1:13 am by Chris under Super Sentai

While many of us await the release of the second wave of the Ressha Sentai ToQGer MiniPlas, an image previewing the third wave has released. Included in this new wave of Minipla will be all about the accessory-type Resshas – namely the Shield Ressha, the Fire Ressha, and the Police Ressha. At this exact moment, there are no concrete details of a release date.

The Minipla series offers a smaller, much more articulated version of the DX Mechas. Are you a fan of Miniplas? And if so, are you planning to add these to your collection? Sound off in our discussion thread!

Ressha Sentai ToQGer Mini-Pla ToQOh Gallery and Video Review

Posted on April 12, 2014 at 1:28 am by Chris under Super Sentai

Many collectors just don’t simply have the green in their wallets to be able to afford all the cool stuff that comes out. And some of us simply don’t like various things because of the lack of articulation or just how something looks. When it comes to Bandai of Japan DX Mechas, sometimes articulation is sacrificed for playability and a gimmick. Such would appear to be the case with the DX ToQOh, where many collectors were just turned off by an awkward standing robot that has very limited articulation. If you’re one of those collectors who passed on that figure because of those reasons, then the Mini-Pla ToQOh just might be what you’re looking for.

Thanks to photo contributor MoonBaseTom, we have a number of high-resolution galleries of this mini figure for you to look at. Featuring nearly identical transformations to the full size toy, this figure should normally cost you roughly $25 before shipping for a set – though expect prices to go up as the item goes out of stock and is phased out of assortments. Click on the discussion link to be taken to the thread to see all the great images!

Site contributor baltmatrix also did a video review of this figure, so if you’d like to see it in action we have you covered there as well! Be sure to subscribe to baltmatrix’s YouTube channel so you can stay up to date on all these great figures and toys coming out for various franchises. I am an owner of this figure and I cannot recommend it enough – especially if you’re a fan of model kits or have been a lifelong Gundam builder and never ventured outside that realm. You will not suffer any buyer’s remorse on this item – except for the stickers. They continue to become a pain release after release.

So are you sold yet? Join in the discussion of this awesome Mini-Pla set! Be sure to get your orders in for the DiselOh assortment, which just had orders go live across various online important stores today!

ToQger Minipla Case #2 Revealed – Diesel Oh

Posted on April 11, 2014 at 6:13 pm by Den-O under Super Sentai

By way of AmiAmi we have our first official images of ToQger Minipla Case #2. Which is none other than the Resshas that make up Diesel Oh! You’ll need 4 of the individual boxes to complete a Diesel Oh, and with 12 boxes in one each case it breaks down to 3 full sets of Diesel Oh per case.

It looks like the minipla will treat us to most of the same functionality of the DX Resshas as well, even down to the ramp and cars on Car Carrier. Though it’s unclear if the cars can be removed. No combined Diesel Oh shot has been released yet but it’s only a matter of time now.

Mini-Pla ToQOh Video Review

Posted on March 16, 2014 at 12:53 am by Sentai Tamashii under Super Sentai

Mini-Pla ToQOh has been released in Japan, and video reviewers took no time to put up the video to show off just how amazing this new set is!  The Mini-Pla ToQOh has everything one could look for in terms of articulation, it may even put the suit actor to shame.  For those who have been hesitating in diving into the DX toy line, maybe Mini-Pla is the answer this year.

Kyoryuger Minipla Raiden Kyoryuzin Lightning Brave Finish Gallery by MoonBaseTom

Posted on February 27, 2014 at 11:50 am by Den-O under Super Sentai

Raiden Kamitsuki Gattai!

The original minipla fiend himself, Moonbasetom, is at it again with this gallery of Minipla Raiden Kyoryuzin Lightning Brave Finish Version from Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger!

This kit represents Raiden Kyoryuzin just at the moment it uses the  Lighting Brave Finish attack. Hence the very awesome mix of orange and yellow translucent plastics to replicate the energy of the attack. As with all of these special multi-box premium minipla sets, some awesome gold foil labels are also included to really spice up the kit. This set was originally a Bandai Premium Webshop exclusive released last month for 3675 yen. Check your favorite secondary retailers now to find this set!

Click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to see the FULL gallery of this set as well.

Mini Pla Gosei Ground Gallery by MoonBaseTom

Posted on December 26, 2013 at 10:25 pm by Chris under Super Sentai

Our very own MoonBaseTom is back with yet another gallery of the popular Mini Pla figures from the Super Sentai toy lines! This time he’s bringing us, from Tensou Sentai Goseiger, a Mini Pla Gosei Ground gallery! The joy of these Mini Pla toys is that they retain the same transformation and gimmicks seen in the larger DX Mecha, but feature more articulation. There’s so much to this particular Mini Pla that it’s borderline crazy – the Groundian Headder even changes in to an itty-bitty Gosei Knight!

To see all 17 images in this amazing gallery, please click here or on the ”Discuss on the Tokunation forums” link on the bottom right of this news post. What do you think? How many galleries do we have to throw at you before you become a fan of Mini Pla toys?

Gosei Ultimate Candy Toy/Minipla Gallery by MoonBaseTom

Posted on December 17, 2013 at 8:10 pm by Den-O under Super Sentai

MoonBaseTom is at it again bringing us yet another minipla/candy toy gallery from Tensou Sentai Goseiger!

Today we take a look at Gosei Ultimate! Made from the cornerstone of the new Tower of Heaven, the Ultimate is the final mecha introduced in the series appearing first in Epic 32. Able to change from it’s own robot mode to a flying vehicle mode, Gosei Ultimate also features a rather odd combination with Gosei Great where it becomes a flying jet pack to form Ultimate Gosei Great!

Follow this link to check out the full gallery or click “Discuss on the Tokunation Forums” at the bottom of this post.

Posted on December 14, 2013 at 6:47 pm by Den-O under Super Sentai

The man of many minipla, MoonBaseTom,  returns with another gallery from Tensou Sentai Goseiger!

Today he has for us a gallery of the Gosei Wonder and it’s combined form Wonder Gosei Great! Exclusive to Goseiger Epic on the Movie, and a single episode of the TV series, Gosei Wonder is a single Gosei Machine which replaces Dragon with 5 headers which interact and combine with the bodies of the other 4 Gosei Machines to make one unique combination.

Tokkyuger Minipla, Candy Toy, & Vinyl Images

Posted on December 12, 2013 at 4:54 pm by Den-O under Super Sentai

It looks like even more merchandise from the 38th Super Sentai, Ressha Sentai Tokkyuger, has been revealed again! Making the rounds right now are these images of upcoming candy toy and minipla assortments as well as vinyls of  Tokkyu 1-5. Minipla Tokkyu Oh is shown only in train mode here so we don’t have anything yet to compare to the DX.

What these images also reveal is the purpose of the Tokkyu Buckle. It would appear that it’s actually a storage device for the Resha! The Candy Toy version of the buckle can hold a maximum of two but we currently don’t know how many the DX may hold.
