S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider ZO Gallery – FINAL Toku Toy Box Entry!

Posted on January 4, 2015 at 4:17 pm by Den-O under Contests and Giveaways, Kamen Rider, TokuNation

A blast from the past, 1993 to be exact, the titular hero of the film Kamen Rider ZO has arrived in S.H. Figuarts form!

Rounding out the end of 2014 S.H. Figuarts releases is Kamen Rider ZO. From the second film in Toei’s trio of 90’s rider movies, ZO (spoken as Zet-O) is in that murky era that Toei considers Showa, but is actually Heisei. In any case this Showa Rider is one of the more streamlined suits of his era diverging largely from his predecessor Kamen Rider Shin. ZO includes several sets of additional hands as well as an alternate head featuring his Break Toother mouthplate, as well as small Grasshopper with optional wing parts. This grasshopper is one of those used by Dr. Mochizuki to contact ZO telepathically throughout the film.

With 50 images to view after the jump, is there any better way to round out our Toku Toy Box galleries than with S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider ZO? This gallery marks your FINAL chance to enter into our giveaway. Simply post in the discussion thread after the jump to be entered in for a chance to win our Top Gear Rider Legends Prize Pack! Winners of all 4 prize packs will be chosen tomorrow. Official rules as well as prize pack breakdowns can be viewed here.

S.H. Figuarts Vul Eagle Gallery – Toku Toy Box Entry!

Posted on January 2, 2015 at 12:52 pm by Den-O under Contests and Giveaways, Super Sentai, TokuNation

Follow the sun!

TokuNation has indeed caught the sun with this gallery from Taiyou Sentai Sun Vulcan! In this installment we’re taking a look at the team leader of Sun Vulcan, S.H. Figuarts Vul Eagle!

Released just at the end of 2014, Vul Eagle begins a new subline of Sentai Figuarts and apparently a new level of quality as well. In my personal opinion Vul Eagle is one of the best sentai figuarts ever produced. This figure truly captures the look of the actual suit, is exquisitely detailed, and includes just about every accessory possible. Multiple sets of hands, 2 versions of the Vulcan Stick, and a very special Katana that allows you to display this figure as either version of the character! Vul Eagle I Ryusuke Oowashi, or Vul Eagle II Takayuki Hiba, his katana wielding successor!

We’ve attached a selection of images to this post, but check out over 50 images of this incredible release after the jump. And be sure to leave a comment in the attached discussion thread for an entry in our Toku Toy Box giveaway! This gallery will qualify you for a chance to win our All Aboard Sentai Prize Pack. Full prize pack breakdowns and details for Toku Toy Box are posted here.

VR Troopers Battle Grid Ryan Steele Gallery – Toku Toy Box Entry!

Posted on December 31, 2014 at 1:22 am by Den-O under Contests and Giveaways, General Tokusatsu News, Metal Heroes, TokuNation

TokuNation is ready to present a truly retro gallery for Toku Toy Box, today we’re looking at Battle Grid Ryan Steele from VR Troopers!

This unique form is the byproduct of needing the troopers to interact more on screen & source footage exhaustion. Since VR Troopers used footage from both Metalder & Spielban for it’s first season the characters were rarely seen transformed together. Battle Grid footage allowed all 3 troopers to actually appear on screen simultaneously and fight. The Battle Grid suits themselves were simple spandex with padding, each with a Mighty Morphin Red Ranger helmet repainted to match. Though cheap and very cheesy the Ryan Steele Battle Grid suit actually makes for a pretty fun, albeit very 90’s, figure. Armed to the teeth with more weapons than he ever needed (or  had!) this figure is a fun bit of nostalgia.

Check out 40 images of this classic from VR Troopers after the jump. And of course leave a comment in the discussion thread as well! That will qualify you for a chance to win our Monolithic Monsters Prize Pack as a part of Toku Toy Box! Full details as well as prize pack breakdowns for this giveaway are posted here.

Power Rangers Dino Charge 5″ Red Ranger Gallery – Toku Toy Box Entry!

Posted on December 30, 2014 at 2:19 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Dinosaur Might, Ready to Fight!

TokuNation’s look at the worlds latest prehistoric heroes continues with a new gallery! Today we’re looking at the Power Rangers Dino Charge 5″ Red Ranger!

The inaugural release from Dino Charge’s take on the 5″ line, Dino Charge Red Ranger takes the basics established by the Super Megaforce 5″ figures and adds a layer of detailing and intricacy that was much needed. While the 5″ line is definitely more for collector’s on a budget it’s certainly not without merit and Dino Charge Red proves that. He has a fantastic range of motion, a hinged shoulder pad, intricate scaled detailing, and a pretty great likeness to his screen counterpart. Dino Charge Red also includes his Dino Saber & Dino Charge Morpher for weapons!

After the jump check out a complete 40 image gallery of this figure as well as a full review! Also don’t forget to leave a comment in this discussion thread as well. You’ll be automaticlaly entered in for a chance to win one of our Toku Toy Box Giveaway prize packs! In this case the Charged Up Rangers Mega Prize Pack! Full details of prize pack breakdowns & rules for entry are posted here.

Kamen Rider Drive Type High Speed Spotted on Set

Posted on December 29, 2014 at 2:33 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Filming is currently under way for the next Kamen Rider Drive special episode Secret Mission 3. Similarly to Hyper Battle Videos of the past this special episode will feature a new form for Drive, Type High Speed! Though blurry these images give us our first look at the suit.

Type High Speed is a primarily silver repaint of Type Speed with the red Type High Speed Tire attached. Though we initially thought this was just a new form for Drive, one of these images shows Type High Speed engaged in battle against defualt Drive Type Speed! And another shows High Speed fighting Kamen Rider Mach. We also get our first glimpse of the Mega Max Flare Tire & Shift car as well.

We’ll keep you updated as we learn more about this upcoming special.

Tire Koukan TK-07 Kamen Rider Mach First Image

Posted on December 29, 2014 at 2:19 am by Den-O under Kamen Rider

After this week’s episode of Kamen Rider Drive and his flashy first appearance, Kamen Rider Mach is about to make his debut in the Tire Koukan toy line as well! We’ve just come across our first actual image of the figure.

Mach will be released as TK-07, and this image confirms some initial thoughts about the figure. First we can see that Mach’s V-Helm is entirely functional and reveals his Shutter Guard faceplate just as it does in show. He will at least include the Zenrin Shooter, the default Advent Signal, and the alternate Advent Signal Magarl as well. Being that this is where the connection point on Mach is, we can also see that Kamen Rider Drive’s tires are fully interchangeable with Mach!

TK-07 Kamen Rider Mach will be released in January and retails for 3200 yen!

Ultra-Act Ultraman King Gallery – Toku Toy Box Entry!

Posted on December 28, 2014 at 5:42 pm by Den-O under Contests and Giveaways, TokuNation, Ultraman

It’s the return of the king here at TokuNation! Today we’re proud to present a long awaited new gallery, Ultra-Act Ultraman King!

Ultraman King, the ancient elder of the Ultra race, has guarded his people for generations operating in secret. Sometimes he intervenes or trains young heroes, but he’s always watchful. And this legendary hero has at long last joined his brothers in the Ultra-Act line! A recent Tamashii Web Exclusive, Ultraman King includes his own personal cape/mantle, his signature King Hammer, the Great Protector armor, and several sets of additional hands. A unique Ultra-Act release, King has some of the more snazzy duds for an Ultra, and sports the even more rare facial hair. His hammer also puts him in the small group of toku heroes that call it their weapon of choice as well. An interesting and offbeat release to say the least, for many Ultraman King has been a dream come true for the line.

Read on with our full review and check out a complete 40 image gallery of this unique addition to the Ultra-Act line after the jump. And don’t forget to share your thoughts on Ultra-Act Ultraman King, good or bad, in this thread as well. A post in this gallery thread will qualify you for entry in our Toku Toy Box giveaway! Specifically you could win our Monolithic Monsters Prize Pack! Full prize pack details and official rules for Toku Toy Box are posted here. We only about a week left to go with this giveaway but we still have more in store for you. Good luck to all!

Revealed earlier this week, we have an official look at the upcoming bike for Riderman, the S.H. Figuarts Riderman Machine!

This release will be offered in 2 varieties as a Tamashii Web Exclusive in May 2015. The single pack release of S.H. Figuarts Riderman Machine on it’s own will retail for 4860 yen. It includes as  per usual for rider bikes, 2 interchangeable handlebars & a wheel base.

The 2-pack version of S.H. Figuarts Riderman Machine & Riderman will retail for 7560 yen. This 2-pack does not appear to include any new accessories to differentiate it from the single release Riderman you may already have. But it allows you to get both at once should you not have Riderman.
