The end of the retail release of the Ranger Keys toy line from Power Rangers Super Megaforce has come – the final keys have been released at Toys’R’Us stores. That being said – we decided to take a look at these keys in what we’re calling the Ranger Key Celebration Week here at TokuNation.com!

Before we look at the Power Rangers Time Force B assortment of Ranger Keys, please take a moment and check out our previous Ranger Key galleries!

– Power Morphicon Exclusive Ranger Keys – Titanium Ranger & Wolf Ranger

– Lost Galaxy Ranger Keys Set B
– Operation Overdrive Ranger Keys Set B
– Wild Force Ranger Keys Set B
– Samurai Ranger Keys Set B

The Power Rangers Super Megaforce – Power Rangers Time Force Ranger Keys Set B comes with three Ranger Keys – a translucent Time Force Red Ranger, a translucent Time Force Green Ranger, and one of the winners of last year’s Morphin Madness contest – the Time Force Pink Ranger! Notably absent is the Time Force Yellow Ranger, who remains unreleased as of this time (with no plans at the moment for a release). The Quantum Ranger Key was available in the Legendary Morpher Gift Set release, which came with 20 different Ranger Keys.

Bandai of America Teases SDCC 2015 Exclusives – Internet Figures Them Out

Posted on June 3, 2015 at 12:55 am by Chris under Power Rangers, San Diego Comic Con

Did you know that San Diego Comic Con 2015 is barely a month away? We’re headed there once again for the third year in a row to give you the most in-depth coverage of everything at the show including interviews with Bandai of America and Saban Brands and other manufacturers of your favorite Power Rangers toys!

Today on Instagram, Bandai of America teased out four blacked out images stating that they will begin revealing the exclusives for this year’s SDCC later this week. But thanks to site contributor and Ranger Nation member @trekkieb47, we’ve been able to deduce exactly the four exclusive items that are coming from Bandai of America!

Now – we can’t say they’re confirmed, or at least, we can’t confirm the details. But we have a pretty good idea. They are as follows:

  • A Legacy Saba Sword repaint (most likely gold like every other Legacy item they’ve done)
  • A set of Ranger Keys (box is similar to last year’s set and the logo appears to be that of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The Movie, making them Movie Ranger Keys?)
  • Another Tokyo Vinyl Pop figure, most likely the White Mighty Morphin Power Ranger (the last two years saw Mighty Morphin Red & Green)
  • A Doraemon figure (to which the Internet said “…a what?!”)

This marks the third year in a row where the Mighty Morphin Green Ranger and/or White Ranger has more or less dominated the exclusives, causing the fans to groan out once more, “STOP FOCUSING ON ONE CHARACTER FROM ONE SERIES OVER 20 YEARS AGO!”

What do you think of this year’s exclusives? Sound off in our discussion thread and make your predictions – see if you’re right or if we’re right!! Special thanks to Rangerboard.com for the better quality original teaser image!

Power Rangers Super Megaforce Ranger Keys – Samurai Set B Gallery

Posted on June 1, 2015 at 1:39 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

As we approach the summer months it is with a sad (or thankful) heart that one of the more collected items from the Power Rangers franchise winds down to an end – we’re talking about the popular (and sometimes hard to find) Ranger Keys from the Power Rangers Super Megaforce toy line. With the final wave of exclusive keys being released at Toys’R’Us as well as ToysRUs.com, many fans and collectors are finishing off their key collections. To celebrate one of the more popular gimmicks in the franchise’s long history, we’re spending the rest of the week doing various galleries of the Ranger Keys with a self-proclaimed title of Ranger Key Celebration Week!

First up is none other than one of the last packs to be released – the Power Rangers Samurai Set B pack which contains the Red Samurai Ranger (Translucent), Pink Samurai Ranger, and the Gold Samurai Ranger keys. The only key left out from this team is, sadly, the Yellow Samurai Ranger (and the female Red Samurai Ranger). But getting in to the debate as to why we needed three versions of the male Red Samurai Key is a debate for another time!

Check out over 25 images of this key pack by clicking the link here or by clicking the “Discuss” link at the end of the article! We’ll be throwing up galleries all week – don’t miss it!

Don’t forget to check out all of our past Ranger Key galleries!

– Power Rangers Zeo Sets A & B
– Lost Galaxy Set B
– Operation Overdrive Set B
– Wild Force Set B

See you tomorrow with another Ranger Key Celebration Week gallery!

Power Rangers Super Megaforce Legendary Battle DVD to Release August 11th

Posted on June 1, 2015 at 1:30 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

The epic conclusion to Power Rangers Super Megaforce, the Legendary Battle, is scheduled to release on DVD on August 11th, 2015. This DVD will be the “extended version” edition, which is being labeled as an “Extended Edition Movie”, meaning it will most likely be the version that aired on Nick Toons last year. The “movie” also proclaims to have special feature titled “Power Rangers: A Legacy”, which features fan-favorite interviews with cast and crew while taking a look behind the scenes with the beloved franchise.

With a suggested retail of $14.98, Legendary Battle is set to release on August 11th, 2015. Special thanks to @LinearRanger on Twitter for the news!

PaperCutZ Loses Power Rangers Comic Book License

Posted on May 17, 2015 at 8:15 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

News broke today that the Power Rangers comic book license is apparently up for grabs. Originally held by PaperCutZ, the publisher released books from Power Rangers Super Samurai and Power Rangers Megaforce, along with a hotly debated couple issues of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (hotly debated because many fans found them to be poorly written and riddled with errors – most notably the Free Comic Book Day issue). This news was broken by one of the artists on the book, Jolyon Yates, who shared on his personal website unpublished pages from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, stating that everything is in publishing limbo as the rights to publish the books are now up in the air.

With a movie coming out in 2017 and some concept images that leaked from said movie creating quite a stir, our thoughts are that Saban Brands would want to get Power Rangers back in to the comic world where comic book and comic book movies are now all the rage. Linked to this story is a poll where we ask you who should get the license to publish Power Rangers comic books/graphic novels, as well as our own thoughts on the likelihood of each company.

Our honest opinion? We’d like to see IDW Publishing take the helm. With their success record with Transformers, Godzilla, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Ghostbusters, Star Trek, My Little Pony (the list goes on) they could easily turn it in to a big hit. Imagine two comics – one starring Power Rangers Dino Charge for the kids and one for the more adult fan simply titled Power Rangers expanding the universe and bringing back fan-favorites. What are the Silver Guardians up to? What’s happening on Aquatar and Triforia? What about the Phantom Ranger and the Blue Senturion? The possibilities are endless – just like our imaginations.

If anything breaks on what happens with the license (whether PaperCutZ is able to renew or another company takes it) we will let you know. Join in our discussion and our poll!

Solid Gold Statues of Kamen Rider 1 Available to Purchase in Golden Age Celebration

Posted on April 17, 2015 at 1:27 am by Chris under Kamen Rider

This one is for the ultimate collectors, those with deep pockets, or those who fancy solid gold objects of their favorite toku heroes.

The precious metals dealer in Japan, Tokuriki Honten, is set to unveil and begin taking purchases of their upcoming solid gold statues of the original Kamen Rider at the upcoming Spring Gem Association meeting held April 24th and 25th. Available in two sizes, 3.94 inches or 7.87 inches, these extremely limited and extremely valuable items will be made to order and could be at your doorstep by the end of the year. The only thing stopping you? The price – look for a whopping $6,460.69 for the small statue, and an overwhelming $46,567.28 for the larger statue.

Anyone want to do a group buy? We can take turns having it in our collections one month at a time. Anyone?

Special thanks to one of our followers on Twitter, @CDawhare, for the heads up – as well as both Crunchyroll and AnimeAnime.jp!

Power Rangers Dash Mobile Game Now Available on iTunes

Posted on April 17, 2015 at 1:10 am by Chris under Power Rangers

The popular mobile button mashing game Power Rangers Dash, created by movegames and originally available in Asian countries, is now available in the United States on both major phone operating systems – Android and, released within the last 24 hours, on iTunes.

The game is free to play (with monetary purchases available in-game) and features a cast of characters from various Power Rangers series – but currently only Power Rangers Dino Charge, Power Rangers Super Megaforce, Power Rangers Wild Force, Power Rangers Samurai, Power Rangers Operation Overdrive, Power Rangers Mystic Force, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and the Omega Ranger from Power Rangers S.P.D..

Currently, to celebrate the release of the game on iTunes, you will receive 50,000 coins for playing the game. This gives you, basically, 100 different tries at grabbing all the various Power Rangers available but it will be totally random (and duplicates will be a-plenty). Join in our discussion – how far have you gotten? How many Power Rangers have you unlocked?
