That was unexpected!

For a week now Power Rangers has hyped up tonight’s extended episode of “The Legendary Battle” pretty heavy across social media and even on television. And TokuNation was there to live-tweet the whole 75 minutes to you! Here’s a recap of the entire episode, which included “The Wrath” as part of the 75 minutes.

  • 75 minutes long with commercials
  • “The Wrath” featured extended scenes
  • Longer “New Powers” fight scene
  • Extended Mr. Burley and Ernie scenes
  • Extra dialogue for Levira
  • Extended scene where Tommy saves a boy from a falling car
  • Extra dialogue before the Power Rangers fight the last general in the last episode
  • A longer battle with the X-Borgs while fighting the general
  • Silver Ranger turns in to Mighty Morphin Green Ranger and gives the Dragon Shield to Red Ranger, who wears it as he transforms in to the Mighty Morphin Red Ranger
  • An entirely new scene where the Power Rangers use all their Legendary Ranger Modes to fight Emperor Mavro
  • A helmetless morph scene (just like in Gokaiger for those familiar with the Super Sentai version)
  • Extra footage of the Legendary Rangers putting on their helmets
  • Dialogue for Karone the Lost Galaxy Pink Ranger as she says “I love being a Power Ranger” as her face morphs in to her villain form of Astronema

So there you have it. We probably missed an item or two, especially during “The Wrath” only because we didn’t bother to re-watch it before this special extended edition aired. So now it comes down to the big question – was this finale worth it? In this writer’s humble opinion – yes, it was. It felt like we got a fitting end to Emperor Mavro and any dialogue added for our Legendary Rangers is a win. But does it correct the flaws with Power Rangers Super Megaforce? That one we’ll leave up to you.

Chalk this one up to unexpected (at least, unexpected this soon!).

The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The Movie White Ranger Legacy Morpher has been released at Toys’R’Us. A member of the Facebook Rangers group, Chris Hagen, spotted the morpher and purchased it earlier today. The morpher comes with a gold White Tiger coin as well as a gold White Falcon coin. Unfortunately, the electronics remain the same as the previous releases, making this (other than the coins) simply another repaint. It’s important to note – it appears that the White Tiger coin is the same coin released in the SDCC 2013 Exclusive Green & White Ranger Morpher (gold and not weathered).

With Power Rangers Dino Charge at Toys’R’Us, this simply creates more excitement to get to your local Toys’R’Us to grab those new Power Rangers toys. Are you going to be picking up this new morpher? Sound off in discussion!

Let’s be real for a moment – who HASN’T seen the Legendary Battle finale episode of Power Rangers Super Megaforce? Many of us already have – in different languages than English – and we saw it over a month ago. So this news is particularly sweet to hear – there IS an extended version of Power Rangers Super Megaforce Legendary Battle, and it will premiere on Monday, November 24th on Nick Toons from 11pm to 12:15am (this block will contain “The Wrath” as well as “Legendary Battle”). This extended version has not aired anywhere in the world and we were first made aware of it when the cast of Power Rangers Super Megaforce tweeted about doing more ADR in the last couple of weeks.

What will we see? Will we get some talking parts for those who didn’t speak? Will that picture that popped up of Astronema appear in the episode? Are we going to get another 5 minutes of Mighty Morphin Green Ranger doing kiyas? Time will tell!

This episode will be available in its entirety on Nick.com as well as the Nickelodeon Smart Phone App the following morning of Tuesday, November 25th. In a return to an age-old tradition with Power Rangers of the past, we are getting a brand new, never before seen trailer for Power Rangers Dino Charge during the finale of Power Rangers Super Megaforce. With multiple tweets and Facebook shares coming from the cast of Power Rangers Dino Charge, they seem to hint at it being more than just what we saw during Power Morphicon.

At Power Morphicon 2012, Saban Brands stated that Power Rangers Megaforce/Super Megaforce would be the largest budget spent on Power Rangers in a long, long time. They said this was the anniversary season for the fans – from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers homages galore in Power Rangers Megaforce to Legendary Rangers throughout Power Rangers Super Megaforce. Despite many personal, vocal opinions from Ranger Nation, the show continued to do what it does best – entertain children and promote toy sales. And thus, tomorrow, another series of Power Rangers comes to a close.

Tomorrow morning, Power Rangers Super Megaforce will come to a close with the episode Legendary Battle, featuring the return of previous Power Rangers including the iconic Jason David Frank as Tommy Oliver, the original Mighty Morphin Green Ranger. This marks the end of one chapter of Power Rangers and at the same time, opens a new chapter when Power Rangers Dino Charge premieres in February 2015, which is slowly becoming one of the most anticipated Power Rangers shows in recent memory, due mostly to the involvement of famed Power Rangers crew veteran Judd Lynn and an extremely likable (and open!) cast.

In case you’ve been living under a rock for the last 18 months, here’s the list of returning Power Rangers in the final episode of Power Rangers Super Megaforce:

It’s finally here!

One of the most anticipated figures to be released since Power Rangers Super Megaforce released this time last year, the Power Rangers Dino Charge Megazord has been found at various Toys’R’Us stores in the midwest of the United States! And thanks to our good friend trekkieb47, we have an extensive first look, in-hand image gallery to bring you of this figure.

The first thing you will notice – Triceratops is pink! And not just kind-of pink. We’re talking full on “bubblegum” pink. That’s a win for the fans – and a special thanks to Bandai of America for listening to the fans on this one. You also receive a clear Red Ranger Dino Charger – and only one. You do not receive a Dino Charger for the Stego or Tricera zords. But why let me tell you? Trekkieb47 has that covered! Check out his unboxing video below!

The figure retails for around $20 and features a number of fun play features including Zord Builder, and “battle mode” features by using the Dino Charger battery. Let the hunt begin!

Our buddy raz has been watching the Toys’R’Us computer systems and learned the other day that the first shipment of Power Rangers Dino Charge toys would be arriving at some stores this week. After a phone call to one of the stores, Toys’R’Us in Mentor, OH, raz has confirmed that they have a couple of the Dino Zords out for sale. The other big news is that we finally have a name for two of the zords!

 

  • Raptor Zord (the Green Ranger‘s zord)
  • Para Zord (the Black Ranger‘s zord)

If you’re in the area what are you waiting for? Go get those new toys! It would also appear that the first shipment of toys for those in the west coast and southwest are not far behind – raz has stated that the toys are in the distribution center ready to go! Get ready – it’s time for Power Rangers Dino Charge!
