Bandai has been knocking it out of the park recently in regards to their candy toy lines. Super Minipla Liner Boy, Super Minipla Leopardon, Shodo GoGoV, So-Do Kamen Rider Ichi-Gata, etc. And adding to that winning streak is the next premium series of Shodo-X releases!

Ready to go, count zero, it’s three heroes from Kamen Rider Agito! We’ve seen several releases from Agito thus far, but this one looks toe be possibly the nicest thus far, really earning that Premium Bandai release status. This wave includes Kamen Rider’s Gills, G3-X, and Agito Burning Form! But that’s not all, the wave is rounded out by a wealth of accessories and option parts as illustrated by the Bandai Candy Blog post featuring these riders.

Though new releases tend to come fast and slip past us in Bandai’s ever growing So-Do line of candy toy figures, we absolutely had to spotlight this latest reveal. Exclusive (so far) to the Kamen Rider: Reiwa The First Generation  theatrical film, Kamen Rider Ichi-Gata is about to arrive in So-Do form!

Though Aruto never knew his real father, he was cared for as a child by a Humagear bearing his name and likeness. Unbeknownst to Aruto this humagear, Soreo Hiden, not only was instrumental in the launch of the Ark satellite, but was this world’s first Kamen Rider! Using the Rocking Hopper progrise key Soreo became the powerful Kamen Rider Ichi-Gata (Type 1). Able to restore berserk humagears and go toe to toe with Zero-One in battle, Ichi-Gata will be a must have addition to Zero-One collections and for So-Do fans in particular.

For now we just have the Bandai candy blog’s official reveal of the figure, but it should be in the upcoming So-Do wave beyond May when we’re getting Metal Cluster Hopper, 001, & Zonjis. Join in on the ever growing discussion in our popular So-Do discussion thread on the forums.

TokuSHOUTsu– the new toku channel on Pluto TV has announced a new series coming to their lineup!

The first Kamen Rider of the Heisei Era, Kamen Rider Kuuga will be joining the TokuSHOUTsu streaming service starting May 1 2020!

This will be the first official opportunity for Western audiences to experience Kamen Rider Kuuga in full.

Be sure to tune in beginning May 1 at 7PM EST on Channel 681 Pluto TV!

Kamen Rider Zangetsu Kachidoki Arms is a brilliant release from Tamashii Nations. Taking the now 6 year old Gaim Kachidoki Arms mold and giving it a fresh color pallet and some new parts, Tamashii has managed to create a fitting final form for the elder Kureshima brother. Armed with the Kachidoki Flags & DJ Gun Taiken Mode, this figure will be a commanding presence in any collection. And if you happen to have the other Zangetsu releases on hand, you’ll see just how perfectly this form fits in with the family.

The latest round of magazine scans has revealed a new Rider joining Kamen Rider Zero-One!

This is our first look at Kamen Rider Ark Zero– a mysterious black Rider with a strange connection to the ARK satellite. Ark Zero uses a newer model Driver known as the Ark Zero Driver to transform. Ark Zero is said to be stronger than both Metal Cluster Hopper and Rampage Vulcan.

The face behind Ark Zero is not revealed at this time, but he may have a connection to the infamous MetsobuJinrai.net– with all four members reunited at last.

ORE SANJOU!

After an early teaser, we now have full release details for the next SH Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou release- the Imagin Momotaros from Kamen Rider Den-O!

Seihou Momotaros is currently scheduled for release in October 2020. Momotaros will be a retail release rather than exclusive. This new version will include Momotaros’ signature sword and a cup of the unique Den-Liner coffee.

The Day of Ohma. The day when Zi-O would assume all his powers and rule the world, in one future. In another, Sougo Tokiwa gave up his Ziku Driver and another Kamen Rider, Geiz, would rise up to save the world. In a world where time has seemingly stopped, the True Savior was born. Now, as prophesied by White Woz, the Geiz of the present is headed towards a fateful battle with Zi-O. With the powers of the future in hand, Myokoin Geiz becomes Kamen Rider Geiz Revive!

Goretsu! Shippu! Continuing a recent trend from Tamashii Nations, the True Savior Set for Geiz Revive comes equipped with the parts necessary to recreate either of his powerful forms. By default we have Goretsu, the bulky power based form armed with the Zican Jaclaw in it’s saw form. A beast of a form with all the bulk to back up it’s blows. With some pretty easy parts swapping though you can assemble the stunning blue Shippu form. This speed based flight capable form is armed with a new form for the Jaclaw as well and it’s, a claw! Both forms have their merits but I’m happy to report that either is actually very well thought out and designed. Thankfully Tamashii is getting better and better at form swapping with S.H. Figuarts.

Ore, Sanjou!

The next Kamen Rider for the highly popular Shinkocchou Sehou branch of SH Figuarts has been confirmed!

Fan favorite Kamen Rider Den-O takes the next Seihou slot, with his unique Plat Form configuration. This is Kamen Rider Den-O’s most basic state, fighting without aid from the Imagin creatures that normally give Den-O his powers.

And speaking of which, it seems another Den-O character is getting a Seihou release spot- the reveal stream that confirmed Plat Form also has an early look at a Shinkocchou Seihou based on everyones’ favorite climaxing swordsman- the Imagin Momotaros!

SH Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Den-O Plat Form is currently scheduled for release in September 2020. The price is a modest 5500 Yen before shipping and handling.

My Shiny Toy Robots is back with another tokusatsu review, this time looking at Kamen Rider Zi-O V-Cinema sequel release Kamen Rider Zi-O NEXT TIME: Geiz, Majesty. Taking place in the new world created by Tokiwa Sougo at the end of the series, can Myokoin Geiz find a new goal in life following a career-ending judo injury? Who is the mysterious White Woz that has approached him with a RideWatch and Driver? And where does Kamen Rider Diend fit into all of this?

“Looks like we’re in the same boat!”

800 years ago the King, the first OOO, oversaw the creation of the Greeed. Given life by the Core Medals these creatures filled with immense craving, were unable to fill the voids of their beings. The Greeeds sought to consume the world of man to sate their sense of craving, but before they could they were sealed away by OOO. In the present, Eiji Hino was minding his own business when the seal on the Greeed was broken by Ankh, releasing them once more. Forever craving to be whole, only the power of the King can stop them. Intending to find a human pawn, Ankh stumbles upon Eiji and a bond is made. Handing the Driver of the king and the Core Medals over, Ankh allows Eiji to become Kamen Rider OOO! Beginning as a begrudging alliance, one of the greatest friendships in Kamen Rider history is born. Anything goes it’s coming up OOO!

Shinkocchou Seihou OOO came out at the tail end of 2019 but we’re just getting around to this figure for 2020, and I couldn’t be happier. For years the original line of OOO figuarts have irked me with their various issues, but now we have a fresh start and what a glorious one it is. A gorgeous figure that looks as though it walked right off screen, armed with the Medaljalibur, capable of combo changing with other Seihou OOO releases, and posing with the best of the best, OOO is a very welcome addition to my collection. You can see Seihou OOO TaToBa Combo together with the other 9 main OOO Combos as well as the Birth’s and even compared to the original TaToBa all in the gallery linked below!
